Travelers' Choice
The Cathedral Quarter was traditionally the home of Belfast's trade associations and warehouses, and still has some of the city's oldest buildings. But a stay at Premier Inn Hotel Belfast Cathedral Quarter puts some distinctly twenty-first century attractions on your doorstep. Come in August and hear some of the latest sounds and bands at the Belsonic Festival. Or December, for a Christmas market that pulls out all the stops. Or in September, for all the fun of over 250 events during Culture Night. Or visit any time of year for world class shopping and fascinating visitor attractions. Then come back to the hotel for mouth-watering food and a lovely comfy bed.

We almost got what we paid for. Great location. Decent room. Unfortunately the Restaurant Manager had a bit of a melt-down on Sunday morning - very Basil Fawlty like - and started throwing guests out of “his” restaurant. I appreciate that Covid restrictions and practices must be adhered to but not at the expense of common courtesy towards guests. Two of our companions were told to leave, even though they were only trying to offer some help and encouragement. Such a pity but we didn’t let it spoil our weekend.

The hotel is in a fantastic location. Right in the heart of the best pubs and restaurants. The staff were outstanding throughout our whole stay. Rooms were clean and tidy and the breakfast is superb. Perfect place to stay.

Unfortunately our stay was sadly ruined by a crazy, unhinged, unprofessional and very childish senior manager! We had a 40minute queue to get into breakfast. The queue contained approx 20 people sprawled across reception where zero social distancing was possible. If any of those people complained when it was their turn to be seated (the person seating them, the general manager), would then refuse to seat them and barred them from the restaurant. So, if you are happy to wait in line from 10am to 10.40 without complaining that your going to miss your flight n now don’t hv time to sit, you need to grab toast n go as you’ll miss your flight, consider this when booking. The reception staff apparently hv nothing to do with the restaurant- completely untrue as they are all in the same Office slagging off the customers (we could hear the manager doing this in the foyer) who complained about him at the breakfast debacle. I really can’t believe what has happened. It’s so shocking. I’ve had over 200 premier inn visits as I’m a rep, never have I experienced a senior manager, screaming at customers to ‘get out’,using the power of his ‘manager’ badge, to stop customers dining. No social distancing, an absolute car crash of a situation that could have been easily avoided if managed correctly. Please don’t book here because if you have a problem and complain, the response will be, you’ll be thrown out of the hotel. Out of the line of 20 people, 11 people were refused entry by this manager because they either complained about the wait, complained that they would miss their flight or tutted.

I stayed here for four nights in late November 2021. The hotel is excellent, clean, inexpensive with very friendly staff. It is in the best position in Belfast. I wouldn’t look anywhere else. Reception will give your more tea bags, coffee, milk etc.

This is the third Belfast Premier Inn we have stayed in, it’s the same standard as the others but the location makes this one the best in Belfast. The room was clean with the usual comfortable bed, just note there is no daily cleaning of the rooms due to COVID but you can get clean towels etc from reception. Only issue we had was the heated towel rail was not working but overall we had a excellent short stay.
