The room was absolutely disgusting, the shower curtain was brown and the shower wouldn't drain which meant the water had to keep being turned off to allow it to go down. The carpets hadn't been hovered there was clothes tags and food left from the previous occupant. The spoons and the cups hadn't been changed from the previous occupant, it looks like someone has eaten something like yoghurt and put the spoon back The bed and the carpet surrounding it was covered in dust.
It is in a perfect location. The rooms were very good. Everything was clean. The bed was nice and comfortable. The showers were good and powerful. Shower gel and hand wash were provided and the towels were soft and good quality. We had everything we needed.
On arrival the lift was out of order which the reception staff weren't aware of, however they acted quickly to get it repaired. The room was standard, although the view was of an enclosed flat roof. Previously in Bath we stayed at the Waterside Travelodge, where the parking is free to guests, and the parking at this hotel is a short walk away and £15 for 24 hours.
We have stayed here 4 nights, one extra in view of the train strikes, Bath itself is wonderful, fully recommend. On arrival, at reception, having gone round the whole building attempting to find the tiny entrance, we were met by the sight of the police escorting a man in handcuffs out of the building, not the best start, not the hotels fault. It is a short walk from the station though. The room, well, the guy on reception, who I should add was friendly and helpful, said it was a good room. Ok, it was spacious, but in need of some TLC, marks on the walls, and for a fairly large room a rather small window, overlooking offices. The bathroom door was very stubborn, and needed persuading to open! Now, unpacking, ok, four nights, we had three coat hangers in the corner of the room in the open, no wardrobe, no drawers, nothing, so where do you put your clothes? We had to leave some on two chairs that were provided, ridiculous, surely provide some furniture for clothing??? The bath is big enough to wash a small dog in, so don’t see the point in it. We paid a fair sum to stay here, I think it’s all about location, without being critical of any staff, it certainly wasn’t worth it, but nevertheless, we enjoyed our four nights in Bath very much, we didn’t spend much time in the hotel, but for what we paid, we don’t find it justified, and it really should do better. On our first three nights, we had to go to reception as our key cards didn’t work. As I write now, I’m in my room and the tv doesn’t work, the young guy on reception was very polite and apologetic, but had no idea what to do, not his fault, but poor. I find it hard to recommend, baring in mind the lack of facilities as well (bar restaurant) so I doubt we will be returning.…
The bedsheets had stains on them. Soap dispensers were empty in the bathroom. They had good customer service and were very inexpensive, that was nice. It worked for us because we only needed to spend one night, but I wouldn't recommend it for longer stays.
My partner booked this for 1 night somewhere to get our head down after a show, we were so surprised how good it was for the price. check in was easy and quick, room was spotless and the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble Manager was excellent. We will definitely be returning.
We stopped in bath on our way down to Cornwall, and it was everything I thought it would be! The hotel was perfect location as was easy to access the attractions with the kids and plenty of food places around to choose from!
After having stayed in private residence many times when visiting Bath over the years we found Travelodge to be a very pleasant experience where we were central to everything we needed, it was clean and the staff were excellent and willing to help. Thank you we’ll be back 😁
Great location & a great travelodge. Saad on the front desk was really helpful, which we greatly. There’s nothing else really to add to that, so I’m just padding now to reach the 200 word minimum on trip advisor!
