My only regret on this visit to Norwich on this occasion was to stay at this hotel at this time and not be able to sample the benefits of its location. In the heart of the towns entertainment area and next to the river what a shame l could not make any use of it due to COVID 19. All the staff that I came into (socially distanced) contact with were polite and helpful, great location, good parking, I will hopefully be back when, if ever we get back to normal.
Just spent a fab week in this hotel, all staff were friendly and helpful, special mention to Dee Covid precautions were excellent with sanitizers all the way through the hotel and arrows on the floor (pity some people could not read and follow the arrows the right way.) Any provisions needed i.e. towels/tea & coffee were requested through reception, leaving us in our own little bubble, it was quite funny as one morning I had to replenish the toilet tissue and soap felt like part of the staff. Yes it is a bit dated but it all depends on what standard you are looking for in a budget hotel.Railway station right opposite and train fares not too expensive, went to Great Yarmouth & Cromer.
We choose Premier Inn because you know exactly what you will get. And that is what we got. Lots of parking, decent room, for not much money. Room was fine, well appointed and looked reasonably well maintained. Quiet at night time. Staff seemed friendly - only interacted with them a couple of times, but each request was met with a smile and a swift response. The area surrounding the hotel is fine - nice to be by the river. Prince of Wales road appears to be the "clubbing" street which you have to walk through from the city centre - which may bother some people when clubs are actually allowed to open. My only negative is it is a bit dingy getting from the road to reception down a dark alley filled with litter and there are often people hanging around here and in the car park for a smoke who arent residents (as it is partially undercover). If you drive in, you miss the alley. However, I'd recommend if staying in Norwich.…
We live in the city centre but due to having a new floor laid decided to stay here for a Fri and Sat night. Great welcome and lovely comfy family room. My 2.5 Yr old was having the time of her life as she thought she was on holiday (not much to compare it to this year unfortunately).. We booked full breakfast both mornings and even though we intended to go out for dinner.. both nights we ended up in the restaurant downstairs. Great service.. All the ladies and gents who looked after us, were superb. A big thankyou you made things very enjoyable. The food was good no complaints and the atmosphere was really lovely. Times are very tough in the hospitality industry at present so we definitely appreciated all your hard work.
No plug sockets next to bed. WiFi did not work on laptop and was very slow on mobile phones Air con noisy and did not seem to warm up or cool down the room. There were cobwebs covered in dust on the ceiling and on top of head board. Only get one set of pillows so need to ask reception for another set. Due to covid, coffee and tea etc does not get refilled every day so have to go to reception to get more. Could do with modernising compared to other Premier Inn hotels. Easy to check in and out. We had the top river room. There are two separate windows so didn’t hear the traffic. Only 10-15 minute walk to the town centre and 5 minute walk to the restaurants and bowling. Big tv with very comfy bed. Decent bathroom with powerful shower and big towels. Shower gel available and big mirror in bathroom. Black out curtains were a live saver.…
