Arrived in the evening, very dark and uninviting. Reception not very welcoming. Room was in the basement, very noisy down there. Fire escape out the window was blocked, room was like something out of a horror film, TV didn't work. For the price and location though it's what you would sort of expect. Saving grace was th bed was actually comfortable and sheets very clean. Got a good night's sleep and that's all we needed it for.
Great location for the pice we paid , the room coul barely fit 3 beds , but they placed 2 single beds plus 2 very uncomfortable beds , the room need a refurbishment same the carpet, if u want early check in u need to pay 20£ for the wifi is an extra 5£ wooowww
Bloody fantastic for the money. Where else can 3 adults stay anywhere in the country for £40?! (For all,not each) Had read reviews, panucked a bit, and found them completely unfounded. Probably isnt the poshest, biggest, immaculate dwelling but has tv, heating, clean beds, adequate bathroom, friendly desk staff and is brilliantly situated. Would definitely return
Firstly, we chose the option to pay at the hotel. The receptionist took the money off my card without permission before I arrived. I worked as a receptionist before and I know you can check the card is valid, but not take the money unless the person doesn't arrive etc. and we had let the hotel know in advance we were coming late evening. Secondly we got a bad vibe off the receptionist as he was just staring at us, not letting us know whether he started with the check in or not. Had to cough and ask if everything was okey with our booking after an uncomfortable moment of silence and being stared at. Only hotel I've ever felt like I should have brought something to stop the door from opening from the inside. Beds itself was fine and clean. Carpet was dirty and bathroom was disgusting. Had to book this last minute as my airbnb cancelled without explanation. Both price (£100 for a triple room) and location were excellent. Right near all shops, tube station etc, and also a very short walk to Freddie Mercury's old house which we did. Other than that, it really is quite poor. Receptionist wasnt there, so we had to wait for 5 minutes. We arrived at 12, only to be told check in wasnt until 2pm which is fair enough. Twice I was told the room is ready, for £20 I can let you in now if you like, but I didnt want to pay an extra £10 an hour. Asked him if I could leave my bag, he took it off me and charged me £5. Never ever been charged for this "service". Room itself wasnt great. It was small and had a tv. Beds were comfortable. The double bed didnt go all the way to the wall because the radiator was in the way, meaning you were constantly losing your pillows down the back. The bathroom absolutely stunk due to the vast amount of mould on the ceiling. Shower was fine, handle was hanging off. I wouldnt stay again unless I was desperate.…
