The hotel is pretty good. The rooms are good as well. The main problem with the room is that they don’t have locks for the toilet or the bathroom. Also, on a couple of occasions the fresh kept towels by the room service guys was stinking. So we had to call them to get it replaced. Another thing that I didn’t like is that they have the same menu for breakfast everyday. Although they do make eggs the way you want. This is mainly in the Paddington office area, so people visiting UK for tourism should ideally stay somewhere in central London as this is a little bit far off. Also the tube station is about 15 min walk for most of the lines.
This is very conveniently located near Paddington train station and area with offices and restaurants. The hotel looks generally ok. I paid 220 euros pe night, which is a very large rate for what it offers. The check in was difficult, as I got almost no info without asking (breakfast, wifi), the gentleman at the reception was focused on getting me enrolled in whatever programme. I had to come back after European adapter for the socket. I was offered an accessibility room and assured that there is no disadvantage. It was not so, the bath tub was very low, mirror was not long enough, the toilet with small sink in front uncomfortable. The room diyd not have a pleasant feeling upon arrival, the light was off and the air closed / damp. The towels seem old and have this worn smell even if they were clean. The breakfast was limited classic options, no vegetables except the sautéed tomatoes and plain food. The reception person had taken a wrong addressfor me despite spelling letter by letter and I was not getting the invoice.
Business Trip with great location to Paddington Station, local restaurants & canal area (little Venice) and offices. Good rooms, breakfast, pool & gym very good and helpful staff at bar and check in desk. Would like a business centre ... but until room was free worked from bar with great service and good feel of being taken care off. Thanks!
Totally exceptional! Easy excess to rail terminal. Everyone at the hotel from the front desk to housekeeping were very courteous and friendly. always willing to help. As a single traveler for this trip, If I had a question for directions to the various tour sites, Gili, the F&B manager was more than helpful with showing how to get to certain sites. As with Alexandra, Sylvia, and Carmelia, they were very helpful if I had any questions. Hotel was in walking distance of Hyde Park (Kensington Palace) and around the corner to the rail terminal either the underground to got to other sites and 15 minutes away from the airport. Downside is that being in the business district there were not many eateries unless you take a cab further into town to go to.
We visited London for the first time and we booked this hotel on the web. The location was very agreeable, close to the subway and taxi station, felt safe as the hotel is surrounded by offices like a small corporate park. The hotel room was clean, the beds firm but had restful sleep each night, the breakfast was fresh and a nice variety of items, the staff accommodating, all and all no complaints. A very good choice. I highly recommend it for families. A very good value for the money.
