Stayed for 3 nights and couldn’t fault this hotel for value and location. Friendly staff. Grant who checked us in was new but very helpful. Good breakfast and the room was lovely with adequate space. Nice clean fluffy towels in bathroom with toiletries provided. Car parking free for residents which is a bonus in a big city. Castaway bar just ok. As another reviewer said rap music not in the castaway theme of things. Pity there was no hotel bar open but you have plenty places nearby. Recommend Ma Everton’s. Great night on Thursday with the ukulele club entertaining us. Would definitely return to the Liner

We had a two night break in double room. We were on 6th floor and must say it was so quiet at night. Never heard a sound all night, which was amazing considering how busy the hotel was. Good quality tea and coffee selection provided bath was fabulously deep and lots of hot water. Bed was a little soft for me but not a major issues. Room was advertised with a fridge, which is really handy when staying for more than one night, however when we got to room the fridge didn't appear to be working. Checked if it was plugged in, by pulling it forward, and it was really dirty behind it, and plugged into a socket hanging off the wall. When we raised this with reception we were advised that fridges were being removed from rooms and if one worked in the room you were lucky. Disappointing. Brilliant location to explore Liverpool and free parking was wonderful. Would book again as great value and good facilities.

Stayed here overnight after seeing a show on the Empire theatre and found all the staff to be very friendly especially the young lady on reception when we checked in. Our room was very spacious and tastefully decorated. Lots of nice touches in the room cakes, biscuits and plenty of toiletries. Found it great value especially as it has free parking and would definitely stay again.

Just returned home today from 2 night stay at The Liner. Fab hotel for only 3 stars. We arrived early by train, station 2 min walk away and 5 min walk to city center which was ideal. No issues with dropping our bags early before heading to Anfield. From the second we arrived we were made feel so welcome, staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was spacious. Robes, cakes and bottles of water were a lovely touch. Had read previous reviews about noise due to proximity to the station but we stayed in room 562 and this was not an issue for us, no noise at all. Great selection for breakfast and had dinner in restaurant which was gorgeous. Can't fault a single thing. Will definately be returning.
