I stayed here with my daughter and granddaughter when we went to the Friends Fest. Location is good, to be honest we were anxious due to negative reviews bit were pleasantly surprised. Yes it is dated but our room although basic was clean, all staff very pleasant,I understand from reviews it is under new management. All this place needs is some money put into it to bring it up to date. Breakfast was adequate certainly not swimming in grease as previous reviewer mentioned, help yourself to cereals toast etc, before full English,
Positives: Pillow and mattress were fairly comfortable if stained. 1 bottle of water between 2 and 2 pack of biscuits. Locations not too bad, only 1 mile from central pier Negatives: Check in:. Front door sticks, not obvious if locked or not. Receptionist very surly and poor communication skills. Steep narrow staircase with stale odour. Overpowering airfreshners placed in narrow corridors to make bad smell but came into bedroom. Room: Bedroom carpet was filthy and full of crumbs and debris, obviously not hoovered before we arrived. Dirty surfaces in room and bathroom. Stained pillows. Rooms do not match claimed trip advisor ratings?? Divan bed catch broken so splitting apart. Mould in shower and doesn't drain properly. Shower head support coming away from wall. Bathroom door lock had been bodged and then broken again so door wouldn't close properly. No door catch so unless locked from inside, couldn't stay closed. Toilet kept flushing randomly. Sink too small to do anything other than wash hands. Dirty extractor fan. The view from the bedroom enabled you to watch others sleeping if they failed to close their curtains. Bins in general areas overflowing and smelling. General areas dirty and in need of a paint. Questionable electrics. Window cassettes need replaced due to condesation. Toilet roll holder hanging off the wall. Only towels supplied were hand towels so difficult to dry off after a shower! Rusty towel holder in bathroom. Breakfast: No one to greet you and show you to a table, we sat at a table and were told to move. Choice of cold breakfast limited. Fruit juice had to be in a plastic disposable cup. Order was taken for cooked breakfast and arrived before we had finished our cereal. Sausages were white inside. Low quality ingredients all round. Unsanitary shared sugar bowl (not covid secure). Visible view of kitchen area and arguments between staff. We were in earshot of an argument between staff regarding another member of staff excessively shedding their hair in the kitchen areas. Other disputes seemed to be going on in the backgound. Staff had a very gruff and aggressive manner.…
We stayed 25/10/21 - 29/10/21, we had a brilliant time, staff very friendly, cannot do enough for you, brilliant facilities and a well stocked bar with cheap prices, Excellent cooked breakfast in mornings, our room was immaculate when we checked in, House Keeping staff are very helpful. We will definately be coming back, little man had a brilliant time to 😃😃
Hotel was fine. Room was a little small but clean and for what we paid..more than suitable. If you want luxury get your credit card out and go find a big posh hotel! The free breakfast was a bonus and set us up for the day! Will be back next time we visit blackpool.
Would stay here again, lovely spot on the seafront, good value for money, on-road parking available appx 5 min walk away. Tram stop appx 5-7 min walk away along the promenade. Breakfast ok not the best quality but didn’t expect that for what we paid. Room clean and comfortable.
