We was a little early and was told someone would ring when room was ready - no contact. Had to go back and find out ourselves. Had a phone call early the next morning asking what room we was in?! Room was ridiculously hot. Got a fan but that just blew hot air as had a tiny window. Couldnt turn radiator off or leave the blinds open to allow any air to come in due to the changing coloured lights coming through the window. Wasn't overly clean. Still had last occupiers empty toiletries in the shower. Bed really uncomfortable and dipped in the middle. Couldnt find the switch for the bedside lights. Had to end up putting hand down the back of the unit until could find the switch. Fridge in room very very loud so Had to turn off every night. Couldn't use shelf with kettle on as it was at an angle and stuff was slipping off. Breakfast wasn't worth what we paid. We wasn't even asked what breakfast we wanted. Instead a fry up was placed infront of us. Didnt check if anyone was vegetarian or anything they needed to know. Continental options were available but just boxed or wrapped. I get COVID etc but nothing appeared fresh. Also had a homeless girl in the room bragging about how she had a free room and breakfast when we was sitting there as paying guests! Location great for the piers etc but very noisy at night with passer bys/drunks. Lastly. We checked out at 8am and got blocked in by the owners. We called them and basically got asked to wait until 9am and they would come - adv no as we had a long long drive home and they said they was coming ASAP and then turned up at 9.10 with not even an apology. We called them a few times to see where they was and phone calls were ignored. The man was rude to us and said we said we was in for the night which is why he parked behind. Yes, but its now 8am and we wanted to leave?! Don't feel like we was welcomed as guests and just treated like a money ticket. Wasn't even a cheap room and god knows how it's 4 star!

OMG what a beautiful place. After deciding to stay in Blackpool an extra night we went on booking.com and found this hotel as a steal as the price was cheap I wasn't expecting much but let me tell you how wrong I was. Booked in the morning and got a room for a few hours later, on arrival the staff was friendly especially Wayne and his partner. They both explained that they have recently purchased the hotel and the one next door so was doing a bit of updating and renovation to both properties. We stopped in room 7 the royal only small but has everything you need as you don't go on holiday to stop in your room. It had a kettle, tea, coffee and milk, the fridge and safe was a good idea and the bed was so comfy we didn't want to get up never mind leave. It was nicely decorated and clean fresh bedding with towels. The shower room in bedroom could do with updating but this is all part of the renovation when speaking to the owners. The atmosphere was good with a small bar with plenty of drinks to chose from, even had poker games out for guests if they fancied it. The breakfast was really good hot with plenty of choices only thing had to wait for table to be cleaned a while due to it being busy, but nothing was any trouble for the staff. Would definitely recommend and we are looking into booking again for next year . Thank you Wayne and the team xxx

Lovely owners very welcoming, excellent location, great range and variety for breakfast which was delicious and reasonably priced. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom could do with a little tidying up around the shower and a shower mat to step out on to would be beneficial Loved the safe and fridge idea also the little shelf under the tv with the kettle etc was a bit wonky so didn’t feel safe using the kettle on it. Complimentary toiletries was a lovely touch. The bedroom itself was nice but could do with a lick of paint just to freshen it up The water feature outside the front was a little disturbing throughout the night especially with being in the room above and requiring the window open as it was a warm weekend but Otherwise a lovely place and would definitely use again

Booked this hotel via booking.com absolutely no issues. The owners were very friendly. Hotel was good but as they have just bought it there was minor work still to do but what they’ve done looks good. Highlight had to be breakfast. Great continental spread and cooked breakfast was also nice. We thought we’d get a halal breakfast ie halal sausages but we got a vegetarian breakfast. It was nice nevertheless. Parking wasn’t free though but grateful to have the cars parked outside. Location is top notch. Near the beach (about 5-8 min walk) and close to the tower. Will definitely be staying there again next time. Would recommend.

One night in the hotel. Parking was £7 on the street so quite expensive. The staff were all lovely, but there were people smoking at the front door and it was stinking. Room was in poor condition, wallpaper ripping, mould on bathroom ceiling, poorly cleaned and light had exposed wires. View consisted of buildings and there was constant noise outside the hotel under our window until about midnight. Breakfast included, standard continental - service was good.
