Friendly and helpful staff but the hotel is run down and needs to be renovated. It can also get noisy so bring some earplugs. Breakfast was average. Didn’t use the pool but did visit the bar at the back of the hotel, which was a sports bar that looked like a McDonalds.

This was one of those visits where everything was perfect. On arrival to the Village Hotel we parked in the car park which offers ample parking places, we were greeted by a lady on reception, very pleasant and extremely helpful. Our room was clean and well presented. We used the gym, pool and spa, all have been subject to recent upgrade, the staff again on reception at the gym were friendly and helpful. It was a cold day and the heated outdoor pool was great. Staff visibly cleaning the locker rooms. In the evening we ate in the bar, again great service for both drinks and food. Breakfast also good with helpful restaurant staff. During this visit we had our three year old granddaughter with us, even though everything we did went smoothly and every member of staff we met was extremely helpful. All in all excellent visit. Well done village hotel

Myself, the wife and my 1 year old son (turning 2 this week) stayed for two nights for a little break. The staff were lovely and the facilities were excellent. The only downside to it was that on our first night, we went to have a meal in the Bar and Grill and the bread was stale, considering the cost of two burgers and 3 drinks, it was expensive. Overall, a nice place to stay.

I have stayed at this hotel very frequently over the last 15 years and has always been my first choice when visiting Blackpool. The hotel is situated in stunning grounds and has great facilities. The staff are always friendly and welcoming (especially Dot on the breakfast service who always goes the extra mile). The restaurant and pub offer great food and is not unreasonably priced. Unfortunately, I can’t give it a higher rating because in some aspects the service is far short of what I have come to expect. There seems to be a focus on charging extras for items previously included. My biggest complaint would be the quality of the breakfast, this has been poor for a long time, however recently they have seriously restricted the choice and clearly don’t use the quality of ingredients that you would expect from a premium hotel. If you are travelling on business and not interested in the facilities, you will get a better quality bed and significantly better breakfast from you average premier inn.

I recently stayed here following an initial small complaint about our first stay. Wow! I am blown away at firstly how the complaint was handled by the manager Stuart and also by the staff who were friendly, engaging and attentive especially with my toddler son. The trip was truly special and personalised for us. The thought that went into how we were welcomed into the hotel was fab The hotel is perfect for families I feel. The pool and restaurant cater for both. The facilities are spot on the pool Are modern and a great temperature for young ones. We had a great time. This is the only hotel I would stay in Blackpool. The facilities are second to none in the area. You are right next door to the zoo and a close distance to the front and attractions. If you have a car it’s honestly perfect for families. Far enough away from the loud attractions but close enough to enjoy them. Thank you again Village Blackpool. Outstanding service. Sam
