We stayed here in early October booked a room for my daughters 7th birthday. On arrival hallway and entrance was clean and had a pleasant smell, room was ok however needed some attention to detail with cleanliness. Cup marks on top of chest drawers which was sticky also sticky residue on tv remote. Carpet needed hoovered and there was hairs all over shower room floor that didn’t belong to any of us. Location isn’t ideal for promanade etc and there is no parking for hotel so we had to park 2/3 mins away at a cost of £13 overnight. We never managed any sleep due to racing cars and a fight outside a neighbouring hotel at 5am. I do realise this is outwith any ones control and the hotel itself was very quiet during the night. The only time we seen any staff was when we were given the keys and we had to phone for them to come accross from their hotel over the road that’s disappointing I would think a staff member should be present. No breakfast option available.

We have just left The Tropics Beach Hotel after being there for 3 nights. The good points were that it was a great location and the beds were comfortable. The bad points were - the room was tiny for 3 people, you couldn't get into bed without banging your head, there was NOWHERE to hang your clothes, we had to drape them wherever we could and no full length mirror. Really not suitable for 3 women at all!! The toilet roll holder and plug socket were hanging off the wall and the tv hardly worked. Unfortunately after the first day we didn't see any members of staff and they did no housekeeping in our room. We had to use the same towels and cups throughout our stay and when we ran out of toilet roll and tea bags we had to buy our own. We have stayed many times in Blackpool and have always been happy with the places we've stayed, but sadly not this time!

Visited last month for a weekend and I must say I have been very impressed. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the room presented well and totally spotless as well as a comfy bed. I’ll definitely be looking to check in again when I am in Blackpool. Thank you!

6 of us stayed at this Hotel on Saturday 7th August. We booked 3 rooms. 1 room had dirty bedsheets, and the second room was not fit for purpose with an uncontrollable ‘overnight leak’ which smelt appalling and the ceiling was very damp. The owners still expected us to stay in this room. We immediately spoke with the owners and explained that we couldn’t stay in this room as it is a health hazard and smells appalling. We asked if we could have a different room. The owners then said that all the other rooms were fully booked and that he would offer us a 50% discount on the room which we politely declined as no one would be staying there due to obvious reasons. The owner took the room key straight back and promised us that he would refund us the full amount of our room which was £80 but we would need to go through Booking.com, which we did immediately. As we left an honest review of our experience with this hotel the owners refused to refund us. The owners blackmailed us and asked us to delete the review in order for them to refund us, which we did immediately. We have now waited a few weeks and still haven’t heard anything so we have gotten in touch with booking.com again who have refused our refund as we should have taken it up with the hotel whilst we were there, which we did straight away! Do not recommend this hotel even if you have no where to stay. They have scammed me and my friends out of £80 when we handed the keys back immediately and had nothing to do with the room. This is appalling hospitality and management which needs sorting!

On the 7th august me and some friends visited this hotel. It looked nice from pictures. On arrival they told us that one of the rooms had a leak, we had a look at the room and the smell that came from it was strong and vile and it was not fit for anyone to sleep in and would 100% make someone ill. Apparently a partial refund could sort this matter ( I can't believe they would expect a guest to sleep in such states ) .. anyway we said we didn't want to use the room because the smell and leak was too bad, they agreed to give us a refund on this room. This meant 2 friends had to either look for another hotel or go home. There was no offer for another room! A second room we had had patches of what looked like mud stains on the sheets, the hotel landing toilet was disgusting full of poo and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. After our stay and 2 friends having to cut their night short to get home, I left a review on the room. After 3 weeks and no refund I contacted booking.com who we booked with asking about the refund to which they contacted the hotel and the hotel said that unless I remove my TRUTHFUL review that I would not receive my refund. Of course I removed it so I could get a refund and then after it got removed they refused the refund still. This hotel blackmailed me into removing a review and have refused to refund us for a room that we didn't even have the keys to or stay in. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The customer service skills and blackmail and the fact they thought anyone could sleep in such conditions tells you all you need to know. I will never be returning and will be making sure everyone knows to stay clear!
