We are members of the spa and can not fault the place the team is friendly and welcoming .Covid practices are all in place to make your feel safe. We have used the restaurant on Boxing Day and had an excellent meal served by a friendly and efficient team again great service with all the covid practices in place
Myself and my husband were bought this break away fot a Xmas gift.. What can I say about this place is from start to finish we felt at ease especially in the current climate. The spa was amazing.. We had 40 mins in the pool in our own lane with 2 metres away from other people. We had an evening meal the food was delicious. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel
Family of 4 stopover. Covid meant spa etc closed so it felt a bit less than its 4 star billing. Three beds one large multipurpose room (they convert them between meeting rooms and bedrooms) which felt a little odd but was clean and comfortable and great value. Very tasty evening meal in smartly refurbished bar, quiet (probably half empty because of pandemic), breakfast OK. Can't remember what it cost but not outrageous anyway. EV charging facility would be a good addition given proximity to motorway and scarcity of chargers in the North.
Nice wee place to stop over, just off the M6 lovely location. Staff friendly and helpful. COVID restrictions in place. Nice food and the rooms a little dated but very comfortable. Would happily stay there again...
We found this hotel lovely and clean on arriving there. The reception and bar areas are lovely. The rooms aren’t quite so good, although our room was clean it was very dated and needs some money spending on it especially in the bathroom!! Terrible shower. We paid more for a bigger room and it was very small. I’d love to have seen their “cosy double!” The bed was two singles put together so not a big double bed as advertised, you expect this abroad but not in the uk. The reception we’re not great, they wouldn’t answer the phone when we tried to call down! The pool was lovely and relaxing Two people were allowed in the jacuzzi which is right but I was very annoyed when the swim teacher joined us too! Breaking the social distancing rules and to make it worse she was constantly on her phone which in a pool environment should not be allowed, especially where children are. As a swim teacher she should know better, a huge safeguarding issue. We were going to complain at the time but there was too many people around and I didn’t want to make a fuss. …
