Clearly the best hotel in Brighton. Beautiful interior, with spacious and well-appointed rooms. All the staff are splendid, perform superbly and with great enthusiasm. The catering is a bit old-fashioned, with little recognition of food allergies - and few choices to match. Let down by very limited late-night room service. It's a great place to stay, and the happy memories linger on.
We felt well looked after at this stunning hotel. Comfortable, silent room with great air con; wonderful cocktail bar with live music; exceptional food in the restaurant and the perfect location. Breakfast was busy at times but staff were so calm, efficient and friendly we barely noticed. A great selection of gluten-free and vegan baked items.
The view of the sea, comfortable room and wonderful breakfast made our short stay very enjoyable. The staff couldn't be more helpful and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was wonderful and most charming.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ all the way. Beautiful architecture and decor in the main foyer, really smart, helpful and professional staff, the cuisine was absolutely brilliant! Being a vegetarian I was really happy with the menu, looked and tasted delicious, portion was adequate size, presentation was simply amazing!
If I am being totally honest with you the stay wasn't perfect. Firstly, I am my husband is a professional musician and has stayed in hotels all over the world. He has NEVER been asked to pay the full room price on arrival without even seeing the room....not once in forty years of traveling has this ever happened but it was the very first thing your receptionist asked, not if we'd had a good journey or how were we today....are you OK to pay the full amount? Was the first question straight away after my husband filled in the appropriate form, and whilst on this particular subject your website states if you stay for four days plus you get a 20% discount off the bill. On three occasions I asked about this and on all three occasions I was told that a duty manager would get back to me, well I am still waiting....…
I think this is the best hotel in Brighton for the quality of the rooms and breakfast and also for the excellent customer service, especially the concierges. I also love the spacious stairwell and the lounge
The Grand has an amazing history and is a spectacular property in a fabulous location. But the hotel needs to invest in carpets and paintwork in common areas as its is beginning to look tatty. Paying for carparking is annoying when being charged so much for a room but perhaps some EV chargers would make it seem less annoying? But rhe staff are wonderful, the views breathtaking, the bar areas magnificent and breakfast delicious. An experience worth having.
Overall the hotel is great, but could do with some TLC, sellotaped carpets and paint chips need sorting. Staff were amazing and could not be faulted But the breakfasts were appalling, considering this is a high end hotel, I felt as if I was on a cheap coach tour! Buffet only style, but lacking in finesse and good quality food, not everyone wants a full English! This actually spoilt my visit to the hotel, very sad
We stayed for 3 nights and it was a very pleasant stay. Rooms are nice size and clean. Everything works well. We really like the restaurant Cyan. The glassed in area is beautiful and nice to see the beach and people watch. The lamb dish in Cyan is one of the best meals I have had. Nice breakfast package too. ***One warning: We liked our room facing the beach, you can watch all the action, but the party goers across the road can bet noisy,
Stayed at the grand for 4 days this week. Perfect stay from arrival and polite and helpful door staff and porters to the reception team also. Great sized rooms on upper floor All appeared to have been recently refurbished. Breakfast offering was one of the best i have had and staff all very friendly. I would not hesitate to stay again and look forward to next visit.
