Best weekend break ever thanks to Kings Lodge. We booked this hotel because of the reviews and we weren’t disappointed. Amanda and Bryan are the perfect and natural hosts. Their attention to detail is 2nd to none. My expectations were high having read the reviews but they were exceeded. The room was clean and spacious, modern and great quality. Breakfast was a total delight, plenty of variety, top quality and beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. This establishment is a jewel in the crown of Torquay, fabulous value for money. Situated a 10-15 minute walk from the shopping district and the seafront, parking was easy, a spacious drive and plenty of on street parking too. A sociable bar was excellent in the evening and some fabulous suggestions for excursions and places of interest to visit over the weekend. The tastefully decorated Christmas tree and festivities looked amazing. Without doubt the best dog friendly hotel which was immaculate and our dog really enjoyed the company of Willow and Hazel who were nearly as good hosts as their owners. We can’t wait to return in the summer to experience their beautiful alfresco hospitality. Thank you both for a memorable break.

My family and I recently stayed for just the one night, we would have happily stayed for longer. Upon our arrival we received a friendly and warm welcome. Our family room was a great size, lovely and clean with an extremely spacious en suite bathroom. Breakfast in the morning was a combination of continental and cooked, both to a very high standard. The advice that we received in order to plan our day out was a great help and appreciated greatly. If we were to stay in the area again then Kings Lodge would be our port of call. Highly recommended for whatever occasion you may be travelling

We stayed Kings Lodge or 3 nights to celebrate my husbands birthday. The lodge is very well maintained and spotless. One of the few dog friendly hotels in the area and well positioned and central to sites. The hosts are amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Loved it and would definitely return.

We went to Torque to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, our stay at Kings Lodge was great, we really enjoyed it. Amanda and Bryan really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and your stay enjoyable. The breakfast was wonderful, and was served and cooked by Amanda and Tash, nothing was too much trouble and there was plenty to eat, you would never go away hungry. We were there for a week and would have a chat at breakfast to discuss the various places around Torque worth visiting, their knowledge of the area is excellent. The rooms are cleaned daily and are spotless. We had our spaniel with us and she was made very welcome also, with plenty of dog treats available, we spend some lovely evenings in the garden, with a drink or two from the bar. There is a lovely family feel to the place and after only a short time, it was like being with old friends. I would recommend a stay at Kings Lodge, we met some lovely people there and we shall be visiting again.
