We have stayed with the Future Inn many times before. We find the Hotel very good. I only have one complaint and this was the duty manager Fern. She really does need some customer service training. You would think the company would of checked before giving her the role as duty manager. My complaint is simple. We had a table booked at a very busy restaurant that evening and our time slot was crucial. We asked the reception how long it would take to get to the restaurant and to book us a taxi in due time. When our taxi didn't arrive on time when I enquired at the reception the duty manager Fern called the taxi firm to check but didn't ask for an arrival time. When I questioned her for an arrival time she just said it's on it's way and that they don't guarantee the taxis. No concern for our anxiety of possibly losing our table. I suggested that as she knew the taxi firm they use is unreliable why wasn't I informed when booking so that we could have planned the pickup earlier. We finally arrived half an hour late for our booking which could've been avoided. Luckily this wasn't a surprise party.

Visited family from Plymouth, fantastic rooms , very friendly and helpful staff . Only down side , the bar closed early even to residents and it was as though they wanted you out , clearing stuff away nearly an hour before actual closing time .

Hotel was clean, staff friendly, front doors broken had to use restaurant entrance. Breakfast was over cooked and some dried out under heat lamps, and funny enough lukewarm. We had room service twice, got order wrong on sandwiches. 2nd time meal was cold. Didn't stay 3rd night although we paid for it. It's cheap and out of town.

Due to a family loss we have had to travel many times a year, this was the best so far! To start with.. please do not let the use of part of the hotel being used by the nhs put you off! Without places like this our resources would be even more stretched than they are.! We arrived with a number of problems, from the minute we left home everything that could go wrong did! We were greeted by friendly happy faces which automatically made things seem brighter.. Cheryl on reception was absolutely amazing helping us with anything we asked her. After our lovely welcome we went to our immaculately clean warm room for a clean up and well earned cuppa and some biscuits (tea coffee milk and water and chocolate was a treat). Obviously after the drama we needed a cheeky trip to the bar. Again greeted by happy friendly face ..Ellie who was happy to make cocktails and let us relax. As we ate out of the hotel the first night and they pre booked a taxi which was a great help. We returned from dinner for a few night caps and was again looked after incredibly. After a very good sleep and lovely shower we went for breakfast.. well I was mind blown! The choice was endless and unlimited! Off we went to empty our family home of 100 years. Upsetting.. but staff were caring and considerate when we returned a bit shabby and exhausted. In the evening we had a family Christmas dinner at the restaurant .. laid up beautifully with table decorations, 3 courses with roast turkey.. it was just what was needed and we all had a fabulous time. The whole of the restaurant staff were amazing. We got to meet some housekeeping who were absolutely lovely. All the staff, in every area were fantastic! The hotels spacious and very covid aware, there is nothing at all I can complain about! Will be returning again very very soon!
