The Queens Court Hotel is a beautiful Georgian town house situated on a leafy square in a city, which dates back to the medieval ages. All rooms are well appointed, all with en-suites. Relax in the bar and lounge or sit outside on the terrace. Visit the jewel in the crown of the Queen's Court, The Olive Tree restaurant. Come and enjoy the best of the West Country, all the food is freshly prepared and cooked for you by our team of chefs using the best local ingredients. The hotel is only a few minutes' walk from the high street, main train stations and very conveniently placed for the University. It is also fortunate to have a public car park on its doorstep that is free overnight and reasonably priced in the day. Exeter is positioned in the Heart of Devon making it a great location to experience everything the West Country has to offer.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed there on September 2020 and found that everything was done to make people feel safe from the Cornavirus. In the dining room the tables were well spaced. At all times the staff wore masks, the place was perfectly clean and we felt that C19 was taken seriously.
On a different topic, the breakfasts were splendid and very generously sized. The restaurant was not open for dinners at the time we visited which was a shame as the menu was mouth wateringly interesting. it really is a lovely small hotel and we found it so much more pleasant to stay in than our usual large chain owned hotels.

Very comfortable room, excellent service and a very nice breakfast. The staff in particular deserve a special mention. I felt the Queens Court Hotel was exceptionally good value for money and were dealing well with coronavirus restrictions.

Warm welcome on arrival, giving us a map of the area. Location was great, close to centre. There is paid parking directly opposite at £11 for all day. Room was great, well presented and practical for an older hotel, even had plugs and USB chargers either side of bed. Bathroom was good and shower worked well. Breakfast was good, with selection of cereals, fruit etc along with cooked options, full English etc. Great staff and value for money stay

I loved our stay at this hotel. We stayed for 2 nights and it was lovely, the room was a lot bigger than we expected - a big bed, high ceilings, big TV in the bedroom and a modern bathroom. It was a very central location, with Exeter city centre and shopping only being a few miles' walk away. Breakfast had a vast range of options and the staff were very accommodating, letting us have breakfast after the kitchen had closed, which was exemplary. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and anyone wishing to stay in a hotel in the centre of Exeter.

We just spent the night at the Queens Court Hotel Exeter, the hotel was exceptionally clean and bed very comfortable, tea and coffee in room, nice size bathroom with fluffy white towels and products, the staff are great and very helpful, breakfast offered a good selection of continental and fresh fruits, the cooked breakfast offered different options to suit, it was cooked and presented well with very nice staff serving. All in all a wonderful stay we tried to book a extra night but alas they were fully booked.
Parking: we managed to get permit spot outside the property for £5 per 24hr but there is also a car park adjacent too the hotel.
Hopefully we will return sometime

As a first-time visitor from the United States to Exeter, it appears to me that the town does not provide upscale hotel accommodations within walking distance to its famous cathedral. We stayed in Exeter for two nights to be able to see the cathedral and visit nearby Dartmoor National Park. Exeter itself is a college town, and on the Friday and Saturday nights we were there the streets were thronged with students. It was important to us to be able to walk to the cathedral, and the Queens Court Hotel is the most highly rated in town within walking distance. The hotel itself is nicely located opposite a leafy car park, if you are coming with your own vehicle. It is also walking distance from the Exeter St. David’s train station. From the outside it appears to be gracious Georgian townhome. Inside, it shows signs of 70s and 80s era renovation, with a disappointing linoleum-seeming check-in desk and worn stairways and hallways. The bedrooms are comfortable and clean, with signs of wear. The staff is unfailingly cheerful, helpful and respectful. As well, the full English breakfast served in their very nicely updated restaurant every day is delicious. (While they have kitchen facilities, currently the only meal served there is breakfast.) If you manage your expectations to dial back on charm and dial up on convenience, cleanliness and comfort you should be satisfied.

Three friends and I spent a few nights at the Queens Court Hotel a couple of weeks ago and we had such a lovely, relaxing time. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and all of them were very friendly and polite. The Deputy Manager, whose name I have forgotten, was especially accommodating. The breakfasts were delicious. Location was good - only a 10 minute walk into town. If driving, you have the option of parking in a pay and display car park opposite or using residents parking. Rooms were clean and tidy. Even the cleaning staff asked if everything was ok! Definitely one to recommend and I would stay here again.

Great little hotel. Met by Alfie on reception who was fab; friendly, welcoming and helpful. There were cooked and buffet options for breakfast.
Really hand location, easy walking distance between the centre and train station.
The room was very hot I couldn’t see how to turn the temperature down and the pillows were hard but otherwise a little gem for the price and location.

The Queens Court Hotel is a very reasonably priced hotel in a lovely location with tall elegant recency houses. It is a stone’s throw from the Farmer’s Union pub. There’s a couple of tables and chairs outside on the terrace to enjoy a drink.
After initial panic about the heating and heated towel rail (which I'd been assured would be working) everything was more or less as described. The lovely lady on the desk helped calm me down and managed to sort out the heated towel rail for me as well as an electric fire which I hardly needed in the end except for the odd blast as September evenings can get a bit chilly. However the weather was glorious by day. We were in room 105, a lovely large town house room with high regency windows and ceilings. There was a big TV opposite the bed and a spacious en suite bathroom. One of the ceiling lights in the bathroom was flickering but if we left it on it soon stopped. There was also a small step down from the bedroom so you had to be careful. We were on the first floor which was accessible by lift. The bed was large and super comfy. The restaurant was closed except for breakfasts but we had meals out and room service for breakfast. They did forget a few things like butters and forks but I think they were short staffed and rushed off their feet at breakfast. There was so much choice for breakfast - I had the continental which included dried fruits and danish pastures, yummy. A small suggestion - the tea trays could have done with more than just the basic eg hot chocolates and a greater variety of biscuits! Plus bottles of water.
If we need an overnight stay in Exeter in future we will definitely return here. Perfect for a city break.

Traditional building nicely modernised inside. The stairs have a great angle, but there’s a lift if you need it. The room was a good size, well appointed and the bathroom likewise. The place is spotless and well maintained. Great breakfast, and friendly staff made the two days I was there pleasant. There’s a parking area at the front which is free 6pm-8am. If you’re there before 6 you can pay and any extra carries over to the following day. The location is great for the main area of the city with restaurants close by. Very happy

Also I think the reception is 24 hrs
I'm sure they will, they are very helpful
Hi, the hotel is a 10 minute walk from the city centre. We walked there and back several times. We didn't go to the university during out stay but Google Maps says 7 minutes by car and 22 minutes on foot.
No there is no free parking unfortunately
No, but there is a busy car park opposite for £6-10/day
