We spent a lovely week in such a beautiful house in a wonderful setting. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely selection of teas, coffee and biscuits. The tasty breakfasts were taken in the dining room overlooking the garden and after one of Izzy’s breakfasts, we didn’t feel there was ever a need for lunch! We felt very welcome at all times and it was good to be able to leave our bikes securely locked away every night. This is a perfect location for walking, cycling and visiting other villages. There is an abundance of lovely restaurants and Ludlow is a lovely town. Izzy prepared a magnificent platter and wine on the evening we stayed in and warm scones and tea on our arrival. We were sorry to be leaving and would definitely recommend a stay to anyone. And lastly, don’t forget to visit the Ludlow Farmshop and stock up as we did. A real treat all round.…
We had a really warm welcome from Izzy and Andy, and enjoyed tea and warm scones on their beautiful lawn on our arrival. Our room was spacious and very tastefully furnished with every comfort, including a very large luxurious bed! Izzy cooked us a delicious dinner on our first evening, preceeded by canapés on the terrace. The area is absolutely delightful and there are plenty of places to visit nearby. We can recommend Wightwick Manor, RAF Cosford and David Austin Rose Gardens to name just three. Izzy and Andy are excellent hosts and we have already recommended The Old Rectory to others. We would love to revisit!
Five star accommodation in wonderful surroundings. Izzy and Andy are excellent hosts and provide a superb breakfast. There is the added incentive of accommodation for dogs and horses. We will definitely return for a second visit, this time with our dog.
What a wonderful place, brilliantly managed. Peaceful and relaxing. Superb breakfasts aswell as some extras like delicious soup on an evening. Fantastic stay. I will definitely be returning next year for another short tranquil break. Such variety too in terms of available walks around the area. A nearby local shop is handy and there are several pubs in the area, a couple of which serve delightful food. An all round classy place to hide away for a short while to escape the hustle and bustle of work.
Great tranquility in a beautiful part of the country. Izzy and Andy are perfect hosts - there when you need, offering ideas and advice, but leaving you in peace as well. My wife loved the horse riding around there, and I loved the cycling. It really was perfect - from the lovely room and comfy beds to the excellent breakfast (Baked pears were glorious! Cobnut bread amazing! Proper cooked breakfasts!). Ludlow is 15 min away and well worth a visit too. The only downside was going home (but we did follow their advice and had a top notch Sunday lunch nearby first...)
