The event facility is good for 200pax, for wedding and other social events, It is fronting swimming pool so the ambiance is quite relaxing. Surrounded by mango trees and several Kubo or kios. During our stay, the mango fruits are available in most of the trees, you can get and eat for free.

We are family of 4 came for a couple of days to relax. It was a quite week so we are lucky as the place is not busy.
Total experienced was ok, except for a very late breakfast. I ask the guard what time usually they served the breakfast and she says 6am. But it was already 8am and the breakfast area was still closed.
I am disappointed, staff forgets that they have 4 people still staying in the guesthouse.

For the reception, “I DONT KNOW “ respond s not helpful. You are working in the reception, its a must to know everything because you are the first person attending the guests.

thank you for the lady guard who assisted us.

As one of the few restaurants available in Alasasin we were that they opened up again. The staff is uneducated, not alert. Whatever you orde or ask for, they don’t have and the Pizza is baked at some lousy 220C or something. The second time we came there the burger (which was initially ok) was at a lower standard. They should invest in their team and management and they might grow their business. Big disappointment for now.

Mt. Tarak is one of the most visited mountains in Bataan. This mountain has a cool ambiance and an amazing landscape. Aside from that, the trail is remarkable. After the tiring hike, bataan has beautiful beaches.

My family of six, all on vacation from the U.S. (a mix of Filipinos and Americans,) and here to visit family recently stayed at the Mt. Tarak Guest House for three nights in two separate rooms, (half of the family were in the Sapphire and the other half were in the Opal room. The pictures I’m providing were taken in Sapphire.) We all truly enjoyed our stay, even our daughter, who is very particular and hard to please.

Both rooms were clean and smelled wonderful. The AC worked well in both rooms. The staff was friendly, personable, hard working and honest. (We left our luggage in the rooms and none of it was tampered with. After our first night stay we also left two, 50 piso bills on a slept-in bed as a tip for the cleaning staff. When we returned in the evening from an afternoon trip the room had been cleaned and that bed was made and straightened, but the two bills were still there.) There is also 24 hour security on property.

In the “CR,” the shower, sink and toilet areas were all clean and both the toilet and the hot water device in the shower worked very well. (The device inside the toilet stuck once or twice not allowing the tank to fill, but was easily fixed by taking off the lid and pushing the device down until it popped back into place and started filling the tank again. We know that nothing is ever perfect, so this type of minuscule problem doesn’t bother us.) A good type, (not just some cheap type,) of toilet paper was provided in the CR without having to request any or use what we had brought. (My daughter-in-law is a stickler for good TP.)

We used the large swimming pool on property and found it very enjoyable. (Maximum depth of the water is 5 feet.) The water was clean and the temperature of the water was refreshing. Not too hot and not too cold. The pool closes at midnight.

The property sits less than one quarter mile off of the main road. It was not overly loud during the day and it was quiet and peaceful at night. There was a group that was having a party on the back part of the property one night, (rental are behind the pool area,) but they were respectful and turned down the music at a reasonable hour. (The bbq they were cooking smelled great! I would have gladly have eaten some with them had they asked. Haha!)

The WiFi seemed to work fine. It could be a tiny bit slow at times, (again nothing is perfect,) but overall it was good enough. Our rooms were close to the main office area which may be why the WiFi was good. I didn’t notice any WiFi boosters around, so it may not work as good if your room is farther away from the main office. We couldn’t get WiFi reception in the restaurant, but again, that wasn’t an issue for us.

We will gladly return to Mt Tarak Guest House on our next visit to Mariveles, Bataan. (Hopefully that will be next year.) Thank you to all of the diligent staff that made our stay a truly pleasant one. Keep up the great work!

They don't offer to clean the room/bathroom during the stay. Staff will just give you cleaning stuff and ask to do it yourself. Staff are rude as well. No proper training, just bunch of people trying to earn during this pandemic.
