The hostess Pancake really went out of her way to help us. Very charming and funny. She had great ideas about places to visit, helped with a bike rental, invited us to dinner with the family, and provided comfy rooms. A block from the Boardwalk. And super reasonable. I highly recommend this place. Prachuap is a really charming town, and this place enhanced the visit dramatically.

Please note that it's not allowed to bicycle around Ao Manao beach because it's a private territory. I asked at Pancake guest house where I can go swimming and was advised to go to Ao Manao beach and rent a bicycle for that. The next morning I rented a bicycle at the guesthouse and went to Ao Manao but was stopped by an old thai woman who shouted at me saying I cannot cycle there bcz it's a private beach. I objected that I was advised to do so by my guest house, then she called a policeman, I repeated to him the same& they called the guest house owners by the phone which arrived by car in a few minutes. Also note that the landlady is very fake and mean because she denied that she advised me to go to Ao Manao by bicycle and told the policeman different. Her farang husband asked the officer where I can park the bicycle&swim and I went there (around 500 meters from that place). That all was absurd but I didn't know that it's just the first series, bcz when I came back to my room 1 hour before check-out time (I came at 11 and check out time was stated on Agoda as 12 and the landlady confirmed me so when I asked her), I found my bags on the floor in the corridor bcz the maid had already cleaned the room, my clothes was messed up and everything was in chaos. When I asked what it means, instead of apologies I was told to leave right away. I refused & said I have to take a shower after the sea and will leave the room by checkout time. Idk why they did so, my guess is the landlady got angry bcz she lied to the officer and I knew that.. Whatever the reason, they had no right to act like this, it was scandalous and just ugly.…

The room was clean, the residence very close to the sea wall and Pancake was nice enough. On the other hand, B&B implies breakfast included. It is not - unless you want to pay an additional and overpriced amount. Restaurants throughout the area are cheaper and more varied. Bicycles are available for rent but check with the other travelers to see what they pay because the price varied from person to person. Pancake's dog barked late into the night and the rooster next door crowed from 5am to daylight so sleep was difficult to come by. An okay experience but would not go back.

We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us and we do apologise for the dog barking, unfortunately it doesn't like cats and barks at them and barks when people walk into the property, which i guess is part of the reason we keep him. however the Rooster, we are trying to catch him as he looks delicous. the price of our bicycles is a set amount unless you rent my personal bike. as for breakfast it is clearly displayed on the website that it is an additional cost, our selection for breakfast is limited as we are mainly in the business of providing accommodation and we are not a restaurant. we ar e sorry you didn't enjoy our stay but we hope you enjoy your holiday.

can't say enough good things about the Guesthouse! the owner was great right from the start, with a very cute and comfortable nature. the owner was very personable and great breakfast. it feels like you're being welcomed into her home for a great price and the rooms were amazing! definitely recommended if you like bed and breakfast type stays and you can't beat the price. if you're a light sleeper bring earplugs for the rooster in the morning was my only issue. But I'm a light sleeper.

The Pancake house has been the best value for our money in all of Thailand (that's 8 cities and 12 guesthouses/hotels). We felt very welcome, but we were also comfortable in the King suite with a nice bed and a great A/C. The breakfast is wonderful (not included with the room) and obviously made with love by Pan. All the staff were kind and helpful and we loved the atmosphere of the place. We could grab our own beer out of the fridge and worry about paying for it later. Prachuap is hot, but the Pancake house is shady and has wonderful outdoor common space. We'd love to stay here again.

Not the cheapest one, but it had room on a crowded night at Prachuap, so we tried Pancake for one night. The twin room upstairs was huge, with two neatly netted windows and super comfy beds. The shared toilet was very clean. Overall, a nice place with lots of natural light. A bit far from the night market though.

tv didn't work, few mosquitos in the room, bathroom is nice, friendly greeting and left us to it. the photos posted online are a bit misleading. overall its just underwhelming to be fair, I think it's overpriced considering the town is really quiet and nothing much going on.

We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us and we do appreciate the effort you have been too with reviewing us on every single type of social media and website available. It is an unfortunate thing about the town of Prachuap that the accommodation is incredibly expensive especially when compared to other towns foe example you would certainly get a 5 star room in Phuket or Hua Hin for 500 baht per night. and there is 5 star accommodation available in prachuap, but unfortunately not available for budget traveller prices. Prachuap is primarily a tourist Town For Thai people and nearly all of the Accommodation in town is geared towards the Thai local tourist, and they have a completely different set of requirements to the average foreign Tourist. For example a Thai national would not usually eat a breakfast that has sausage and eggs. also Prachuap is a very quiet town and nowhere is it mentioned that Prachuap has a night life , if you want to party go anywhere else. Prachuap is all about slowing down and unwinding. sitting under tree on the beach , reading a book, watching the world drift by. It is not for everyone and we like it this way.
