What a wonderful place to spend our summer days! Cabin 5 met our expectations and beyond. It was cozy, comfortable, well-stocked. We could have as much or little privacy as we wanted as things are set up so well. Great fun beachcombing (bring your water shoes...the beach is stony), swimming, and hanging out on the deck that looked to the sea! No need to turn on the stove, for even with the fire ban, we had access to a propane BBQ . Our only issue was the difficulty in getting a reply to our phone messages initially, but once we sorted that out, things moved smoothly. One of the 2 - bedroom cabins is highly recommended for couples or small families. Thanks, Heather & Rob!
We've been coming to Seaview Marine Resort for many years. This year we had two cabins to accommodate our adult children also. The views are stunning and access to the water is easy. There is plenty of privacy between the 5 cabins, but it is nice to meet the other travellers. There is everything we needed to have meals in, and there are also a number of nice restaurants not too far away.
We've stayed at the Seaview Marine Resort every summer for many years. This summer Heather and Rob made magic happen when we needed to change our dates at the last minute. The cabin was perfect for the three of us, and a lovely spot to even entertain some local family. The views are great, both from the deck on the cabin and from the main grass area on the property. With only five cabins, and most of then rented for a few days or weeks at a time it is fun to get to meet the neighbours and hear their stories of trips around the island. Heather and Rob have continued to keep the cabins well stocked and refreshed, and it feels like our summer home away from home.
I called this hotel for 3 week to book for 2 nights. Not once did someone answer the phone. I left several voice mails and did not receive a call back. I then sent an email by clicking on the "contact us" on their website. Not surprisingly...no one replied! I would expect that the owners would oversee the fact that people can not make bookings but there simply is no regard for customer service. We instead booked a hotel down the road.
We loved our stay here! My husband, daughter & I stayed here for a month and it was delightful. The cabins are piece of history and have been charmingly restored with all of the modern conveniences and attention to detail. The kitchen is well-appointed with everything you need: microwave, coffeemaker, pots & pans, wine glasses, teapot etc. The place was very clean & well maintained. The friendliness and easy-goingness of the of the owners only added to the charm of the place. There are 5 cabins which are perpendicular to the water. Each has a small deck with 2 chairs and you can view the ocean from all...however I recommend you moving your chairs to the lawn overlooking the ocean~delightful! The property is on the water and at low tide you can walk along the beach for some beach-combing. You are also close to the towns of Chemainus & Ladysmith, which are both lovely towns for shops & restaurants. There is a small grocery store only mins away. If you are visiting the Island I would say that this is a great central location for exploration.…
