We stayed at Accent Inn Burnaby recently during a vacation to the Vancouver area. We needed a place that could accommodate our family of 4 (including 2 basically grown teens) at a reasonable price. Accent Inn was perfect for us. The hotel (technically a motel since the doors open to the outside) was clean and quiet and felt like a little oasis from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding area. We stayed in an executive suite, which had a separate bedroom in addition to a living area with sofa sleeper and kitchenette. We used the sofa sleeper and brought a twin air mattress as well and still had space to move around.
One quirk we weren't quite prepared for was that the AC unit was in the living area, while the bedroom had to rely on airflow through slats in the door. We asked for extra blankets for the folks sleeping the living room and bought a cheap fan from the nearby Walmart, and everyone was happy. Also, plugs are at a premium, especially in the bedroom. We were glad we had brought a power strip to handle all of our electronics.
Front staff was friendly and helpful. The surrounding area isn't anything to talk about, but felt safe, and the hotel was a convenient jumping off point to all of the places we wanted to go to in the region. We would stay here again, for sure.

This was a really great value for the price. The beds and bedding were super comfortable. The blackout curtains kept out any ambient light. It had a great mini fridge(looked brand new!) and microwave. It also had a mini teakettle, a mini coffee pot and real ceramic mugs. I was so happy not to have to drink my coffee out of a styrofoam or paper cup! I really liked all the lighting options in the room. There were even reading lights over the bed. I was really impressed with this motel! 10/10 We would definitely stay here again.

We booked this hotel as we were not looking to spend a ton of money but wanted to be close to a train station so we could access Rogers Arena for a concert. We were not disappointed with our service. We arrived slightly early from the airport (about 40 mins from check in time) and even though we were happy to wait, the front desk worker put a rush on our room, then 10 mins later, said he moved us to a room that was already ready to go! There was a small cafe across the parking lot that offered a deal on a breakfast meal for people staying. Our room was very clean, neat, and tidy. I appreciated the small dividing wall between the sitting area and the bed. The curtains made the room very dark, which was great for the afternoon nap we needed after our flight. The checkout process was smooth and efficient. Would definitely stay here again!

As a very shy and self conscious trans person, I was ABSOLUTELY impressed by a welcomed, respectful and professional attitude displayed by staff members Barbara and Gerald were most professional, accepting and cheerful when talking to them....and I even asked them to take my photo!!!. I had received previous reassurances by Mr. Jake H, a General Manager about the respectful policies of his business towards alternative lifestyles, which were amply confirmed during my visit. I was most impressed by the quality of my room, which was very clean, private, well lit, very quiet and well appointed in all other aspects. I was also impressed by this business flying the multi color flag indicating safety, respect and acceptance of differences.

Well to start off , my stay was a long stay here. The room smell nice , we have everything we need Microwave coffee machine even have cups to carry coffee outside as you leave , kettle, fridge, air conditioner is awesome,. Very clean rooms. The beds are so comfortable . Even get top comforters change fresh and clean. Which I know some hotels bearly even change . The staff are all very helpful and always very polite. I know cause I would forget my key in my room at least once or twice a day , had to go to the front to get a new one n never did I get attitude for it,lol. The cleaning ladies are so good n boy do they work hard I would tip them 5$ a day and they told me I was one of the few that ever tipped them . Can’t believe people don’t tip the ladies that work so hard . The manager is so great. If you want amazing stay come here . The location is very well situated close to everything. I will stay here every time I come to Burnaby, It is also pet friendly room . But if you don’t have a pet they will never put u in a room where a pet has occupied that room before

I relocated to vancouver from ottawa as I got a job offer and was staying in Airbnbs till my company offered to pay a temporary accommodation for me here at the accent inn for 21 days. The past 21 days have been the best most comfortable experience I’ve had adjusting to Vancouver life. The front desk, housekeeping staff and everyone here is so helpful and attentive to detail in making sure your stay here is as pleasant. It’s also a very beautiful place as they have led lights all around the building at night which lits up so well at night. Service was top notch and would always recommend this place. Shoutout to the front desk supervisor she always provided me with extra toilet utilities to make sure even though I didn’t pack enough I always had enough here at the hotel. 10/10 experience. Thanks Accent Inn and thanks for the little duck hahaha

My husband and I stayed one night at the Burnaby location in order to attend a dinner function nearby. We checked into our room and the heater was already on and set at 68 and seemed to be working OK. Shortly after we arrived in the room, a maintenance person knocked on the door to see how the heater was working. That should have clued us in as to what would happen next. A bit later, the unit started to spit out cooler air. I might add that the unit never cycled off and on as it should. I turned the unit up to around 72 to see if that would make a difference but no it did not. We contacted the front desk and within 5 minutes, maintenance came to check. We were told that the heater had to remain at 68, no higher or it wouldn’t work. I have never heard of such a thing. High temperature in Vancouver was mid 40's dipping into the 30's at night. By this time, it was 5:30 and we had to head out the door for the dinner event at 6PM. I wish we would have demanded a different room, because when we returned it was definitely cooler in the room. We were both tired and needed to leave the hotel early in the morning so we decided to “gut it out”. I looked for additional blankets and there were none. I wound up sleeping a total of 2 hours in my coat.
This was not a comfortable experience. I am generously giving this property 2 stars as the room itself was clean and the bedding was comfortable. The front desk clerk kindly gave us a 50% discount for our discomfort which was the best she could do, but when I contacted their HQ was offered a 50% discount off a future stay. Don't think I will take them up on that offer, but thanks anyway.

We stayed in a suite with a kitchen and separate bedroom. There was plenty of space and the king bed was very comfortable. The location is good since we try to limit driving in Vancouver. The Skytrain is an easy 7 min walk and there is a great cycle/walking path nearby going directly into downtown Vancouver. Bring your bikes, park your car and enjoy riding to all the beautiful Vancouver sights.

Nice place, well situated, room was ok but the tiny fridge should be bigger. On the first level in room 190 the Wifi signal was low and slow to the point I used my phone's shared connection. I found it comfortable but I think we could get more for the high price we pay; like breakfest per example. Very practical for dogs owner.

We stayed in a ground floor room with two beds that was pet friendly. The room had a microwave and fridge and was perfect for our stay for three nights, Nov 24-27th while watching the AAA Soccer Coastal Championships (Provincials) and working remotely. It was pouring rain so I asked if I could have extra towels for our dog. Staff returned with a "pet friendly towel" rolled up with ribbon. When I opened it, it had doggie disposal bags and two dog bones. It was thoughtful and appreciated. I asked them to clean our room the second day and forgot to tell them that the sink outside of the bathroom was slightly clogged. To our surprise, when we returned, they informed us that they would noticed on their own and would like to fix it, suggesting we could switch rooms. We told them we were fine to stay and they could come and fix it while we were away. When we returned, they had repaired it and left us some sweets and two beverages for the trouble. We have stayed at many hotels including Delta Hotels, Pan Pacific, Ritz Carleton and we must say, Accent Inn was a pleasant stay - clean with hardwood floors, spatious enough and with excellent customer service. Lastly, it is walking distance to several restaurants including Earls and Swiss Chalet. We ate at both of those restaurants and their service was great as well. All in all, a wonderful stay.
