The hotel is new and very clean. I stayed for a night and the room is spacious and spotless! I am happy that the Hampton Inn in Brockville is Covid conscious, ensuring that the rooms are sanitized and prioritized our safety. I really felt safe and comfortable. Although because of Covid we are all wearing masks I still felt that the staff welcomed me with a warm and genuine smile, friendly and attended my needs.

We recently stayed here two nights. We had one of the two queen bed rooms, it was large and had a big tv, fridge, microwave and a larger bathroom. You can check in online and request a digital key however you are still required to check in with the front desk for temperature check and a covid checklist. The hotel had free onsite parking and includes breakfast, you have to order your breakfast and it comes prepackaged, it isn’t the greatest but it is all they are offering during covid. The hotel has a large pool and gym and quite a bit of common areas. Overall it was a good stay. We would stay here again.

As a loyal Hilton Honors member for many years I’m now reaching the tipping point of this ever increasing and absurd ‘pre authorisation’ on checkin.
I was supposed to be staying for 9 nights at $170 per night for business reasons. I went through all the usual checkin procedures and then hit with the $50 per night authorisation in addition to the nightly fee. I know this isn’t a ‘charge’ but in effect it blocks $450 off my credit card for 2 weeks (9 days stay and then up to 5 days release time post checkout).
The only reason I was given was ‘hotel policy’ for ‘extras’, which is tricky for this low value hotel there isn’t really much to spend that amount on if your tried. Then I was told it covers ‘parties’ etc. Basically I’m made to feel like a second rate citizen who can’t be trusted and therefore we’re going to effectively charge you, albeit temporarily, 30% more for your stay. I’m here on business as what I thought was a valued long term repeat Hilton customer. I suspect this Hampton Inn is a franchise, well Hilton, they’re not helping your reputation.
I proceeded to say I don’t want to stay anymore only to find my card has already had the $450 authorisation made on it, so it’s now blocked for several days without prior permission. I then discover by the Hilton customer team afterwards that I’ve also been charged a nights stay which is quite extraordinary when I specifically asked had all the charges been cancelled. No mention of this 1 night was made.
This may sound like a rant, well it is. Hilton need to make long term customers feel valued. Authorisation to charge my card if I smoke or have parties on my room is unacceptable based on my extensive account with Hilton, and my patience with these authorisations is now running out. I think we all really know why these authorisations are made.
I booked a room in the Holiday Inn just down the road, turned up, welcomed, no hidden authorisations, and they get $2,000 in return.

Dear jskphotography, Thank you for your comment about the recent experience with us. I am sorry that we were not able to meet your needs and was inconvenienced with our standard $50 security authorization per night. Unfortunately, this is the standard authorization for all our guests regardless of the number of nights they stay. We are unable to authorize one amount for the entire stay as this is not possible with the system . The authorization is not only to cover for any damages, but also to cover for additional charges incurred at the treat shop. I’m sure that the other brand would have authorized your card for a one time fee as well which is normal for any hotel. I will never give a good review for any hotel that has motion control on it's thermostat. Waking up sweating in the middle of the night because the motion sensor hasn't recently sensed movement is unforgivable. With regards to the bathroom, I don't like the mass containers of soap and shampoo. Especially, when the shower gel is completely empty! You aren't cleaning rooms but once every four days, you can afford reasonable soap/shampoo and to let the A/C run as needed. In the fitness center, the elliptical has a bad squeak with every rotation. The TV's on the elliptical and the treadmill next to it have TV's that only work intermittently when using the equipment. Finally, when I checked in they gave me the least expensive bottled water possible. "Spring Water," that tasted like it was directly from the river. Bottomline, this hotel is solidly built, very quite, has a lot going for it. It's concrete construction, my preferred type of hotel. But, by pinching pennies they will lose dollars.

Was a bit skeptical of this location after reading some reviews by some hockey parents. I suspect those guests were likely a challenge for the hotel.
Our trip was fine. Check in as normal, comfortable and clean room and breakfast was nothing special but standard (scrambled eggs, sausage, potato, make your own waffle, fruit, bread, bagel, banana bread, coffee …
Front desk was able to provide ideas for lunch/dinner.
Location near 401 and some retail locations were perfect for us. If visiting the city, might consider a hotel in the downtown area but this Hampton was every bit as good as other great Hampton Inn’s that we have stayed at.

I would like to share with you my first impression of the Hampton Suite in Brockville.
I arrived at 16:00 on this Thursday with no reservation.
The front desk clerk attended me with no problem with no negative sign, just like a diamond client
He gave me room and the check in was very fast.
This is something that I really appreciate, a fast check in.
When I get to the room everything was great.
No comments on the quality of the room.
When I tried to turn on the TV everything collapses in my mind. It was not working. (Hockey Game)
I called the front desk and they told me ''I'm coming right now''
2 minutes later I saw him, and he turn on the TV change the batteries in the control and he came back to change a light ball that was burn.
I asked him, you are at the front desk, and you are doing also client call on each floor.
I sent an email to the GM to extend my staisfaction.
Karan is a real ambassador of your Hotel and please take care of him and make sure you keep him in your organization.
I'm travelling across the country from Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton etc.. and this is the best customer services I received since long time.
You can be sure I will share this experience with all my hospitality world.

We spent a weekend with friends here, they attention to book the rooms next to each other without asking. The rooms were updated, spacious with nice, firm beds. The little fridge was extra bonus for our drinks. The complementary breakfast was way better than we expected, with several sandwich selections, eggs, yogurt, cream cheese, etc. I would definitely stay here at my next visit!

Room was clean and comfortable. Having a fridge and microwave is very useful for long term stays. The breakfast selection and quality was good. They even had gluten free toast! The gym was also well equipped. The location is also very central near major grocery store, Walmart, Starbucks, and close to restaurants/pubs.
