This Travelodge has some definite positives as long as you get a good price. Needing the room at short notice on a Saturday in July we didn’t. Positives - pleasant front desk staff, redecorated suite, quiet despite being close to the freeway, very comfortable beds. Not so good - the new bathroom did not have any grab bars in the bath/shower. Being seniors we look for these. The free breakfast looked very unenticing compared to nearby hotels so we passed on it. Just cereals and toast.Just give me one of those make your own waffle machines, that’s all I ask!

On the way back from Port Dover we stop for the night at the Travelodge before returning to Quebec. Easy access by 401, gas and restaurants nearby, lunch included, safe to park Harley-Davidsons for the night. Carpet corridors to change (stains) but hey, we just pass through.

Room was clean. Tv worked, cable was a bit questionable to use. Ac worked but the room was quite damp, condensation on windows. Breakfast was more than sufficient with bagels and muffins etc. Front desk was helpful.

The Brockwell Canada Traveloge is an older motel located in a prime location for travelers on a budget. Our experience was positive. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. We appreciated the refrigerator and freezer as well as a microwave. The WiFi worked well. There was a free continental breakfast with something for everyone including me who cannot eat eggs or wheat. I met four staff workers who were all very kind and helpful. Yes, the walls were thin and the hallway was a bit musty but there was decent ventilation inside the rooms. The Travelodge was not the Ritz, but it was acceptable for a one night’s stay. I would go back there for sure.

The hotel is rundown and in bad shape. The carpets have to be at least 15 to 20 years old and there’s a big stain in the middle of it. Very rarely do they look like they’ve been clean. When you go upstairs to the room, there’s no elevator so you have to take the stairs. Walking down the hall to the room. The doors are all open even if no one is in the room, which is what happened to us when we got to our room… The room was open you go in the room is incredibly small the bed and the sheets and the blankets look like they’re out of the 1960s a beautiful gold color, they smell. The walls are scuffed and black. There looks like a big hole was very hastily repaired in the corner. The bathroom is disgusting. There’s mould in the shower and there’s mould around the drain. I would not recommend. this place needs Gordon Ramsay to come in on hotel nightmares. I have paid $212 for rooms that were 20 times better than this one $212 for this room is an insane amount of money and not worth it. I would recommend going to probably the holiday inn express just 5 m down the street.

This hotel is in dire need of some TLC. The entryway and hallway badly need to be painted, if we weren't so tired we would have walked out the door upon walking in.
It is pet friendly (fee of $20) and the floors are tile - smart move.
The rooms are fairly clean but beds very old and uncomfortable. Our room had a key lock and a card lock, but it looked like the card lock was out of order. It left us wondering what the story was behind the ownership of this hotel and why others were staying here when there were many other options around.
There are also accessibility issues; we saw designated accessible parking spots but no ramp to get over the curb and the door had no automatic opener. How would someone in a mobility device, traveling alone, get into this place?

Better cleanliness. Sheets and pillows were smelly, shower were greasy - probably never cleaned. Grease from many guests were on the floor! After I complained several times the sheets were changed. I bought pillow and pillowcases, and a disinfectant to wash the shower myself. The apartment floor was dirt as well, I forgot to bring my flip-flops and my feet were black for walking barefooted! The icemaker outside sounded like an airplane. First and last time there, I'll be back to Brockville but certainly will stay in a different hotel. I did not dare eating breakfast there - if the higiene was low in the room I imagine on the kitchen!

SEE PICTURES: I was visiting my mom who was ill and I slept on her couch one night before deciding to book a hotel for more comfort. I wasn't planning on staying at a hotel so failed to pack toiletries as I was going to use my mom's. But when I got to the hotel there were two bars of soap however only one sample bottle of shampoo. No condition or lotion.
The entire facility and room were dirty and run down. The Travelodge is in dire need of maintenance and repair. My room access card didn't work causing me to go back to the front desk. I was issued a second card, still had issues. A complete stranger tried to help me but no luck. I eventually gained access. There was a patched wall in room that looked like someone put a fist through it. There was silverfish in bathroom, mold in shower, baseboards are dirty. Remote didn't work. A second remote offered YouTube, Netflix etc but you had to sign in with your own personal account information which isn't a safe thing to do. There was only one TV station (news). Due to the silverfish (bug) I found in the bathroom I slept with the lights on and worried that there would be other bugs. Breakfast was free but I passed on it. Based on the condition of the hotel and rooms I can't imagine what the kitchen is like. I didn't sleep much and although checkout was at 11am I got up at 6:30am, packed my things and left. I've have never stayed at a hotel or motel as disgusting as the Travelodge in Brockville ON.

If you would like to take a trip back to the 1980's then this would be the hotel to stay at. The bathroom has all the original fixtures, The shower door is so old it has a hard time opening and closing and the sink can barely drain. There was very few amenities such as soap and shampoo. The mattress had a huge indentation in the center. The free breakfast consisted of bagels and english muffins, some round egg things, sausages and an assortment of muffins and cereal. There was coffee/tea and juice. The room was old and tired, probably never changed or renovated.as was the rest of the building. It was not a pleasant place to spend any time in.

There was hair on the bed, on the toilet, on the hair dryer.
They offered to change our room, but at that point we had seen the quality of cleanliness they had to offer and opted to drive three hours home instead. Very gross experience.

This is in regards to the reply to my review to the manager of Travelodge Brockville. As legal proceedings are underway, I'm advised not to answer any more.
Brockville has three exits off the 401. Coming from Quebec the first exit will be the North Augusta Road exit. You will see an oversized Canadian flag at that exit. The second exit is really close at 2km away if not closer. The second exit is Stewart Blvd exit. You can see the Travelodge from the exit. You will turn right when you get off the off-ramp. Get into the left lane because you will turn left very quickly at the traffic light where you will see a Tim Hortons and a KFC. I believe that is Jefferson Ave.Turn left at Kent Blvd and you will see the Travelodge.
