We had our first post pandemic hotel visit and agree with the reviews on all the Covid-19 safety precautions. There is hand sanitizer at each door, maximum 2 people (if not a family group) in each elevator. I had read that some hotels leave rooms empty for 3 nights before a new guest arrives, but was told that they had a full hotel for the weekend and none which had been empty, but that it was fully sanitized and if we had issues, they could change the room.

The staff was friendly, the hot buffet breakfast was managed and packaged for you based on what you wanted, with staff taking your order in one door and delivering it in the next window.

The rooms are clean. There are two picnic tables on either side of the hotel, if you want to eat your meals outdoors.

TIPS: 1) If noise bothers you at night, ask for a room away from the highway
2) I did not know that when you book through CAA, they go through Expedia. I had initially booked for 2 nights and changed to 1 night and when I got here, it was not changed. In future book directly with the hotel and they can make changes.

I have stayed at the hotel most weeks for several years now, due to necessity to be in Brockville for work.

During COVID the team has gone above and beyond to make guests comfortable, ensuring during periods of low personal travel that business regulars get exclusive use of their rooms and when possible these stay empty at weekends for extra precautions.

Housekeeping is always to a high standard, and I am very happy with the policy that rooms are not entered by staff mid stay. I believe you can request daily room servicing if you can’t survive without fresh towels and having your bed made.

Front desk personnel are always cheerful and accommodating, even with the most demanding guests or those that won’t follow protocols.

Don’t usually write reviews but felt compelled to acknowledge the fantastic service. Can’t say enough nice things about the staff, from housekeeping to front desk. In addition to being professional and efficient the staff were pleasant, friendly and so happy to help you in any way! Serving your customer well appears to be their motto. Complimentary bottled water, ear plugs, coffee/tea always available, etc was wonderful. Hot breakfast included Beds comfortable and plenty of hot water at a good pressure on top floor (floor # 4)! Easy one and off to Highway 401. Hotel located at the end of a cul de sac so it’s quiet out front. If you need lots of quiet to sleep ask for an even numbered room (i.e. on front side of bldg) - you won’t hear a thing! Having an indoor pool was also a bonus. Water temp was refreshing but not cold. Towel rack in pool was empty when I arrived for a swim but when I spoke to front desk the staff was very apologetic and someone arrived within a minute to replenish the towels!
I would definitely stay here again and Highly recommend it!

Please let Janice and Karen know that their staff who serve the breakfast room work diligently. They keep every part clean and tidy. As soon as the guests leave the table, they clean up the table immediately for the next guests with no mess. I don’t take this for granted as I have stayed in other hotels, the restaurant staff cannot keep up the cleanliness of the breakfast tables nor food tables, or no one bothers to care. I’m impressed by this hotel staff who deserve a compliment. I did praise them right on the spot. Keep up with the good work. Thank you for providing a comfortable environment to enjoy the breakfast.

On our way to Montreal we overnighted at the Holiday Inn Express in Brockville, where we were greeted by a most affable young man (of 17) who was working his first day at this hotel, filling-in for some regulars who were ill.
We asked for a room on the side of the hotel away from the 401 highway, and after having been assigned a room that was facing the highway, it got switched and upgraded to a suite on the quiet side. That room was marvellous. The bed was so comfortable, the room so spacious, and the amenities were in perfect order.
The complimentary breakfast was more than sufficient to keep us going the rest of the day.
We can certainly highly recommend this hotel, and will plan to stay here again.

My kids and I spent a week in Brockville and stayed at this Holiday Inn. The staff were lovely with one small exception (front desk person told my son to "stop playing" with the makings for tea in the lobby when he was only getting himself some tea. It would be better in such situations for the person to ask the client if they are getting tea and offer to help although he knew how to do it.) but overall the staff from front desk to breakfast room to cleaning staff were lovely.

We were able to check in early. The room was clean and comfortable. Cleaning staff came in every day which was great. At other places since the pandemic started this hasn't been the case. The beds were very comfortable. I had asked at the time of reservation for a room away from the highway but they still gave us a high-way side room. It wasn't the end of the world though.

Overall, good location, comfty, friendly, clean, excellent breakfast.

The major drawback was the pool. The pool and the pool room were downright dirty, with actual clumps of hair in the pool water and all over the floor of the room. We went three times thinking maybe it would be better and it was the same each time. Eventually we decided we couldn't stomach going there anymore which was unfortunate as we were really looking forward to using the pool. The other thing as mentioned was the employee who assumed my son was doing something wrong when he was getting himself some tea.

We booked online and paid in advance. It stated that breakfast was included.

When we arrived at the hotel, there was a crowd of half a dozen people in front of the main door, no masks, no social distancing.

We got inside and received our room keys. We were informed that breakfast was not included, the gym, pool and restaurant were all closed due to Covid precautions.

Our room was average, clean and comfortable. We had some issues with the TV, the guide didn’t work.

I found the price to be expensive, considering there were no facilities open and I wasn’t getting breakfast.

Hello katiejcdempsey, Thanks for the stay and feedback. I am happy that you found the room clean and comfortable. On the other hand, I am sorry that breakfast was not available and that you were not informed that the breakfast bar was closed. This hotel is well located right off the highway and near many restaurants and stores. We chose it as a stopover hotel due to its suites. It did not disappoint! The suite was fairly large and the two queen beds were comfortable. It had a mini fridge which was very convenient. Breakfast in the morning had hot and cold choices, and was served by two friendly ladies. The front desk clerk on check in was not that friendly. The pool was closed due to Covid. We would stay again under similar circumstances.
