This resort is clean, tidy and pleasant. Our family felt very comfortable and relaxed during our stay. Staff are welcoming and helpful. This is a well-situated resort; it's within walking distance to the beach, parks, local attractions, grocery store, shopping, etc. The kitchen and in-suite laundry were so useful and convenient. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and water slide every day of our stay.

After having stayed at the Watermark years ago, I booked a long weekend stay for myself and extended family. We booked the 3 bedroom penthouse for the May long weekend back in January through the hotel's website. A couple of weeks before, I called the hotel to ask about parking (to see if we could fit with the cargo bin on our car). The agent I spoke to said they saw our reservation for a 2-bedroom condo. I corrected him and said that we had reserved the 3-bedroom townhouse for 4 adults and 3 children. After a lot of back and forth, and additional stress leading up to the long weekend, the reservations manager called me to say that the hotel had made an error, and while they received the reservation request for the 3-bed penthouse, it was never processed despite having been booked directly through the hotel - their online system doesn't actually book the room, they enter that manually and they didn't complete it in our case. In an effort to resolve the matter, she got our two families into 2 of the two-bedroom townhouses, which I felt was a fair accommodation for us considering the penthouse was no longer available. At check-in, I was told that the hotel would take a $300 refundable charge for incidentals on my credit card for each room. I was charged the full amount for both rooms, plus the $300 deposit (x2). I left thinking that the bill for our stays had been paid in full - great. On Sunday while at the pool with my family, I got a call asking me to come to front desk to clear a balance. I checked my online banking and saw 2 charges of $1486.02 on my credit card, which reflected the totals for each room, plus the deposits. I told the front desk agent this, and they said that I had not been charged and I had a balance owing. I called Mastercard who said that the charges were not declined, so it appeared they went through. In the end, the front desk agent told me to go 'enjoy my stay' - I'm not sure why I would be called mid-stay to pay (either pay at check-in or check-out, right?). Then I noticed 2 other charges of $1186.02 after leaving. It looks like they have corrected the charges in the end. It was a very frustrating experience in dealing with the hotel. The hotel itself was beautiful, our rooms were great, our kids had a wonderful time in the pool. With that said, I have never had so much contact with reservations agents, managers, front desk staff in my life. Checking in and out of a hotel is usually seamless.…

Good Morning I'm sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay as well as the challenges experienced with your reservation. You are correct, the arrival and departure experience at the resort is usually seamless. A few weeks before your arrival the resort transitioned systems and the reservations were moved over from one system to another manually and an error was made when entering your booking. I am glad that the team found an upgraded solution to accommodate you and your family. It is standard practice for resorts to preauthorize the amount for the room plus an amount for incidentals on a credit card upon arrival. This ensures money is secured for the room and available for any Food and Beverage charges that may be signed to the account. Upon departure, the bill is settled and the final charge is applied to the card releasing the rest of the preauthorization. This is intentional and a practice that will continue at the resort as it is an industry standard, but certainly an opportunity exists for our team to have better explained it. Went with a few other families and we all had a wonderful time. It's a great spot for kids. So much for them to do with the beach, pool, boardwalk. Room set up was great. We will definitely be back again!

We came to the watermark for my bday week and it did not disappoint! The room was incredible. It was clean and had everything we could possibly need. We spent a lot of time at the pool which was clean and a great temperature. This resort is in the perfect location as it’s right on the lake and within walking distance of stores, restaurants and anything else you may need. I highly recommend the Watermark.

Couldn't of planned it better ! Sun hit 30 April 29/23 , and we pulled into the Watermark Resort for some much needed family R&R . After recently moving from area -this was a 1st pulling into town as visitors. Check in was quick and easy .-Deep ( Manager) pre selected our room and it was beautiful! Views of pool&osoyoos lake . Our2 BDRM suite was perfect travelling with an 8 month old .fully appointed we didn't need a thing. Ps heated outdoor and pool with slide were perfect in this weather. Hottub& steam were great after traffic en route. Can't wait to visit again

The room we stayed in was condo style - feels exactly like home, with all needed kitchen appliances and utensils. Nice view out the window. Room was very clean. Best part - pet friendly with no restriction to size of the dog. Definitely coming back next time :)
