However, once we arrived to our room we found that the sheets on both beds were very wet. We had to call for housekeeping to change all of the sheets. The room is ok in size. The building seems new, but not built to the highest standards. There are cracks in the walls and huge cracks on the wall tiles in the bathroom near the door.
My biggest complaint is the amenities offered. I understand that it is a budget hotel, but as it is still a hotel, I would expect full bed sheets and a blanket/comforter. They only provide a thin sheet on the bed. The position of the air conditioning unit is right over the beds, so it gets tricky to go between freezing cold and then turning off or very low and then it gets warm. We asked for a blanket from the front desk and the staff informed us that we would have to pay. We then asked for additional towels instead, and they informed us that we would have to pay for extra towels also. Both seem ridiculous even for a budget hotel. It is a hotel that is supposed to offer service to its clients, not charge for normal items, such as a blanket or an extra towel. It just leaves a bad impression to those staying at the hotel.
During our one night stay, the bathroom door locked itself twice. My wife and I didn't touch the lock on the bathroom door, but twice when we closed it, the door managed to lock. That meant yet another trip to the front desk for them to call housekeeping. That could be dangerous is a young child closes the door and gets locked inside.
There is no food available at the hotel, either through a restaurant or room service. If you need to eat, there is a Fooda (grocery store), McDonalds, and other restaurants within walking distance.
The staff are friendly. When we were being informed that we would be charged for a blanket or towel, they seemed to feel bad because they understood the situation. I blame the management/owners rather than the staff who are just doing as they are told.
There is free wifi available throughout the hotel.
Overall, I would not stay here again. I would prefer to drive back into the city to find a hotel that doesn't try to charge for every little thing. When booking a hotel, I would prefer to pay a little more up front rather than having to continue to open my wallet for what should be included in the room price.
