One of our major off shore client stayed here last night because she was planning to play football in La Salle but wasn't able to because of her busy schedule. She said that the customer service was great offline and online. It was a great location since it's near Promenade, Theater Mall and Vista Mall. One thing that is off was the private parking slot is a total rip off. It was nice of the Front Desk staffs to recommend parking in Promenade which was literally 5 mins away and she wasn't completely informed that the cancellation of security deposit will take longer than 3 days. But overall, she was happy and that is all that matters. Thank you.

I was looking for a place to stay near Club Filipino. Our fraternity anniversary could easily spend time till midnight and with the possibility of having some drinks during the fun and fellowship then it would be a better decision for me to stay in a hotel than to drive home to my house 70 kilometres south of Manila. Elan Hotel Modern fits that requirement. Its location is barely a 10-minutes walk to the club. The one thing that doesn’t fit is its name. The hotel is no modern at all in todays world. The rooms although big for the current standards are old in design and features. The air conditioning system albeit cold is quite noisy, the bed has seen better days and the door lock is still the insert key type. The carpet needs replacement and the bathroom and cabinets are decades old and needs upgrading. The free breakfast included is a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10. The drive path that leads to the basement parking is quite narrow and hard to negotiate. On a positive note, the staff are super friendly and pleasant to deal with.

This is a perfect location to enjoy the best shopping malls in Manila as you only have to walk over the street to find them. It is well run with friendly and courteous staff except for the reception area which, certainly in my case, is poorly trained and managed. The rooms are adequate, clean and cleaned on a daily basis. I would certainly advise booking on-line for your stay as the cost of rooms is more expensive if you book and pay at the hotel. As the other comments state, there are a lot of improvements this hotel could make.....allowing a private party to book the pool area and ban all other guests is not a good idea, charging for WI-Fi is also not to be recommended. More mosquito killing devises, especially in the lobby would also help.

Our room on the 5th floor was supposed to be a renovated room with a walk-in shower. But the shower was a bath tub style with the paint cracking and peeling off.
Stayed for 5 nights and all 5 nights, no one at the front desk answered the phone. I had to walk down to the lobby and speak with the receptionist to make my requests. Made a complaint about her not answering the phone, and she just smiled and said, ‘ay, sorry po’ as if it was a normal occurrence.
No hand towels, No face towels. Only bath towels. Soap was just diluted weak soap - so bring your own.
Stay for the location - it is right across from Greenhills Shopping Center. But don’t expect a lot of services since they operate very lean. Their housekeeping staff is also their bell services people, and their front desk is not reachable 80% of the time.

To start, we thought it was kinda haunting when we're in the hallway of our room. It felt that we're the only people in that floor. Even the room numbers are removed for some reason. When we entered our room, for me it was ok for the price but when I checked the bed sheets, it has STAINS from we dont know where! We thought that's the worst that could happen but lo and behold, when we're about to sleep, a creaking sound comes and goes from the cabinets. It continued all night and we had a VERY HARD time sleeping! The creepy sound continued up until dawn. And by the way, this sound wasn't there during the whole morning or our afternoon stay. It sounded someone or something is coming out of the cabinets. I'll let your mind just imagine this.
We actually requested to be transferred at around 3am or 4am since we really need sleep but per front desk they dont have any available clean rooms. They didnt provided any help and its so frustrating!
If you want to save money, its better to book a motel. This hotel isn't worth your money and would greatly advise to stay out booking any rooms in this place. Worst staycation ever.

Maybe start considering to remove the word Modern in ur hotel. The only good with this hotel is the location.
Terrible stay here almost ruined our 7th Anniversary celebration.
They will charge you for parking ₱600+ For overnight, first time to encounter a hotel that does that. And the way the security guard on duty that night as well as the front office receptionist is rude to explain it to us. Room is spacious but AC is too loud causing for me to wake up several times. Toilet is not to clean as well as the bathtub. Pool is just nice in the picture, cloudy water already seemed not clean for how many days already.
All in all not a pleasant stay, and will not recommend to friends

We do not have a valet, but yes we have a parking slot.
However, please be advised that parking is first come, first serve basis.

Prices vary depending on the room of course. Breakfast are served up to 10am normally, avail one if you normally wake up at 6 or 7 in the morning. Otherwise just get a room since the hotel is just right outside the Greenhills shopping area where restaurants are lined up as well.
There are more places to choose from in the San Juan area.
