Blown away by the lodge we stayed in , the hotel, staff , food , ambiance, views On arrival for a 60th surprise Birthdau party of a dear friend we were greeted at reception with our little dog with such fuss and attention ( for our little dog especially who was cuddled and given a treat ) The receptionist was so lovely and in fact every single member if staff we met went out if their way to make our stay wonderful . The lodge was not what we expected ...it was luxury , huge and quiet ..overlooking woodland and countryside. The jacuzzi bath was gorgeous and the beds super comfy . Watching the trees through the large French windows whilst sipping wine was wonderful and there was a decorated Christmas tree in the lodge . I visited the spa 3 times and was super impressed by the cleanliness that was second to none and enjoyed the pool, hot tub , sauna and steam room . Great changing rooms too . Then a wonderful meal in the restaurant served by the very charming and entertaining Leonie and Amy ...they were so welcoming, helpful and encouraging with the cocktail choice ( mine was a fabulous porn star martini ). We cannot wait to return and certainly did not want to leave .I cannot compliment the staff enough and the mussels in a Thai coconut sauce was simply heaven . Thank you so much for a perfect few days with you xxx Sandy , Mike & Bebe Bear xx

Perfect for a weekend break, extremely welcoming, great facilities, fantastic breakfast, along with a good location, plenty of parking, free wifi, spa facilities. Our room was a “garden room “ equipped with its own patio which was a bonus ( we just asked for a quiet room),bath robes and slippers included.we even had a slight sea view! Very clean and spacious, double shower was a bonus too. There was a fridge, tea making facilities and a tv, The breakfast each morning was excellent, cooked & buffet style , we had both, and that set us up for the day. Ideal for that special treat away.

Everything is average mostly. Food quality is good. Most staff members are excellent. Location is remote and access very difficult. Please be aware, if you are booking a lodge and paying for bed & breakfast or half-board, you will have to make a 10 minute walking journey to have your food from the restaurant in the main building. In bad weather and with small kids, it can become a challenge quite quickly. There is an option to get your food delivered but the menu is very limited and they will charge you for the food delivery, which felt very strange to me.

Dear okhan352094, Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for your very kind comments about the food quality & the staff! I understand that it may feel like ten minutes when walking with small children, however, all of our lodges are in close proximity to the main building and most with only a very short walk required. We hope to welcome you back in the future and wish you all the very best on your future travels. Kind regards, Anthony

We’ve stayed here a few times now and have been very impressed on every visit. Not only is the building beautiful and the bedrooms clean with all the amenities you could need, the staff really stand out for me. They are all so willing to help and fix any issues you may have. The food is some of the best I’ve ever tasted in a hotel, an interesting menu that changes with the seasons as well as a wonderful afternoon tea that goes well with a trip to the Spa. I open my windows every morning, whatever the weather and hearing only birds is so calming to the soul. We will definitely be going back

Booked a few days in a 2 bed lodge - stunned by the size. Place was immaculate with fully kitted kitchen and small little touches (bread, jam, OJ and milk) Restaurant was great, we opted to include breakfast which was lovely - full cooked and continental available. Enjoyed the pool, you have to book but it limits the guests so you get to swim, use the steam room etc. All the staff we interacted with were pleasant and welcoming, would definitely go back or look at another of the group in future.

We came for afternoon tea, we had recently visited under a different chef and had issues. This has been totally turned around. They were spot on with allergens, i had a splendid gluten free tea, my friend a vegetarian one. They were magnificent, not one thing was wrong and the food was delicious. The team members were lovey, our waiter offering us regular tea top ups. Really recommend the food and experience here. Thank you

This hotel is so peaceful, comfortable and clean . With views of the sea and lovely decor The food is beautifully cooked and presented but it is the friendly caring staff that really make this hotel . They were all so helpful the lovely reception team the housekeeping who were so helpful Patience and Sid who work in the restaurant nothing was too much trouble and Gary and Selem and Ant the barman The pool was so lovely and everywhere was spotlessly clean I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone

Being part of a large chain, you'd expect a certain level of accommodation and they did not disappoint. Ideally situated to experience the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, along with nearby lovely beaches

Where do I begin explaining why this has been one of our best experiences staying as a CLC member Trenython Manor is definitely worth the journey from North Yorkshire to this corner of Cornwall From the minute we arrived to the minute we left, we felt welcomed relevant and looked after. We stayed in a two bedroom lodge in the grounds, my brother and wife joined us for a few days with their dog. The standard and comfort was top notch with a lovely welcome pack for the dog including a blanket Without exception, every member of staff was very friendly and helpful demonstrating a genuine interested in making guests' experience the best it can be The location is perfect for accessing the main places of interest in the area, on one occasion after walking along the coast for approx 10 miles we decided to get the local 24 bus back, the driver happily made an extra stop for us at the entrance to Trenython. We had dinner one evening in the main restaurant with the stunning carved wooden panelling ( some sourced from York Minster ! ) the decor, atmosphere, service, food and value was all of a very high standard. My brother was a chef in several London locations and he was very impressed. The atmosphere throughout the site is so welcoming and relaxing with all staff appearing to be very happy in their roles We used the pool a few times .. including the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi ... very well maintained with a maximum of 12 people within the area at any one time ..making it a 'booking' activity but worth it. We are retired public sector workers, having cared for many people over the years, we have a subjective and objective understanding of a service industry and feel this review is a realistic example of a stay at Trenython Manor. Thank you for a wonderful holiday
