Detailed Reviews
We gave our home up to our 2 visiting families and moved in here for a week. It was wonderful. A very clean spacious studio room with a very comfortable king bed. It was also very quiet and the owners allowed as all to use their lovely salt water swimming pool.

I've stayed at this property several times while in the area on business, in several different rooms. The motel is always spotlessly clean and the owners are very friendly. Reasonably priced with a well appointed kitchen that has pretty much everything you need to make a meal. Also a generous cooked breakfast option available which is handy as the motel is about a 10-15 minute walk to the town centre. On a very busy road but it is quiet overnight and I rarely hear any traffic noise during the evenings or at night. Highly recommended.

Thank you very much for specially taking the time to write us a review at this time and for appreciating our motel, cleanliness and hospitality! We are delighted that you are personally satisfied with the different rooms which you stayed in. Our motel is indeed located on the main road and we have rooms closest to the road, in the middle block and farthest and quietest at the back of our motel depending on guest preference. It has been a pleasure to have you regularly stay with us and our family looks forward to see you again this year!

This was a great find in a busy holiday period when most accommodation was booked out in the Nelson region . Located conveniently in Richmond . After a quick phone call a very helpful manager had us installed in a spacious unit with excellent facilities. The unit had a large bathroom, decent shower, a good kitchen and as a bonus a swimming pool adjacent to the unit. Despite main road location traffic noise was not a problem . We would use this motel again.

The location was very easy to find. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room had the necessities you need for your stay. There is also laundry you can pay for only $3.
Room was also clean and neat. Had the chance to use the swimming pool in the courtyard.
Also not far off from Nelson City Centre, only 20mins drive.
Overall, our stay was top notch.
Would go back again.

I love this place. A home away from home. Can not be faulted. Keep up the good work. Clean, friendly, well appointed, helpful and sunsets are devine. This site however is not so user friendly asking me to write more. Puts me off doing this again.

The motel was clean and pleasant but I specifically chose it because reviews said traffic
noise wasn't a problem. All I can say is don't accept room 4. It was freezing cold, as it has three outside walls and on the second floor with nothing underneath is except a covered parking area. The heat pump couldn't cope with the cold and I had to resort to turning the hob on to heat the room. The bathroom floor was so cold I was unable to stand on it and the bathroom heater didn't work, also the windows were only single glazed. Which brings me to the traffic noise... between about 11 pm and precisely 5 am it was very quiet but the first logging truck thunders past at precisely 5 am and from then on it was very noisy. The lady on reception when I checked in apologised that she couldn't upgrade me (before I had been to the room), on the second night when I went to check out I commented how cold it was and the man on reception that night just said that it was cold weather- no interest in improving my stay. This motel is priced higher than average and I didn't feel it was worth the extra money. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable but it was lacking any homely touches and housekeeping was minimal. The bed wasn't properly made, just pulled up and coffee, sugar and cookie not replenished.

I, sorry this reviewer did not find the room to her satisfaction. The room she reserved was our entry level option and priced accordingly. The weekend of the stay was the coldest we have experienced this year. The first we were advised of any disappointment was at 7pm on the night before she departed at which point an offer was made to provide additional heating for the room. This was declined. We accept the bathroom heater had failed and this was repaired by an electrician immediately the next morning. The heat pump was checked and found to be working as is was supposed to be however the settings on the remote had been had been altered which reduced the heating capacity of the unit. The room is fitted with hush glass to reduce traffic noise which has a similar thermal capacity to double glazing

I would give this place a wide berth, the road noise is horrendous, you can hear and sometimes feel every truck go past and given its on the main Road there are plenty of those.
I’d suggest a different place on a quieter road.
