We love the tropical surrounds and the serenity in this hidden gem. For us, this truly is the place to totally unwind, in every sense of the word. The warm welcome we received from Sharyn, and the easy check-in, made us feel more than a guest. We loved exploring the grounds and getting back in touch with nature. The gardens are beautifully done, and nothing beats laying in the hammocks and listening to nature. With the pool area being grassed and surrounded by lush gardens - we really enjoyed lazing here in the afternoons. Having the beach access was great for walks and a place to go for soaking in the waves and salt air. Looking forward to being back later this year.
Much quieter than many other beach locations - practically a stone's throw from the beach. not much food etc in immediate vicinity (so pack the food/snacks). My 8 year old and I walked along the beach into the main street of diamond beach to the take away shop for ice cream, chips and other supplies (about 3.5km round trip along the lovely waterfront). The rooms are older décor, but clean and comfortable and a great size - much bigger than the more recent poor design caravan park-styled rooms elsewhere, all rooms pretty similar. Our one bedroom had a small sofa (not for older/larger child) separate from the lounge so we were able to leave the bed out during the stay and still watch tv /read on the couch. The little undercover seating out the back allowed us somewhere to eat whilst kids played in the green space in view and somewhere outside to thoughtfully hang our beach and pool supplies to dry even when we had some rain. Having two doors - one front, one back means that kids can come in and out without going past cars. Even busy we barely heard other families through the older-style brick buildings. We took a soccer ball, tennis and badminton sets but skip the scooter as it's gravel not paved.…
I booked this resort via Sharyn and website without any problem. Check in and Check out was contact less. The rooms were very clean and tidy. The resort is quiet and perfect for family. We enjoyed very much during our stay at Diamond Beach Resort and always taken care by Sharyn Atkins, Owner/Operator.
Stayed here for a few days while helping out during the recovery from the floods. The owner was so accommodating and friendly to my group. Even seeking help from her friends to ensure we had what we needed to do our work, including fresh clothes in the morning. It’s a comfortable place with many areas to explore and relax, and the beach views are great. Best part is the dogs! They are so cute!
We tried to book here during torrential rain and whilst we called at 11:30pm and were unable to get through we moved on and kept travelling. The next day we received a call at midday in regards to our query. We said “all good, we tried booking last night as we needed a place to stop during torrential rain and just tried to check if you had an availability. But it’s ok, we won’t need accommodation.” This was given with the response “well you called at 11:30 and I’m asleep”. Your website does not have opening and closing hours. So please if you have an issue with people calling outside work hours be upfront on website
