We went to this Sun Moon beach 🏖 resort to celebrate the 60th birthday of my mother. It was average compare to the other. If you want to bring your family for get together it was advisable because the room was as good for 15 persons. If your looking for a relaxation in the beach i will recommend it. Overall we enjoyed stayed here.

The Sun Moon Beach Resort * The resort is clean and wide. * There are 5 shower cubicles for man and another 5 for woman * There are 5 comfort rooms for man and woman. * There is a volleyball beach area * There are many cottages ranging from P200- P2000 * Wide parking area * There are vendors who can easily get inside the resort so be mindful of your belongings * It is 30 meters away from the highway.
The Beach * The beach sand is very fine but not as white as the other beaches * The water is very salty.10/10 * There are so many jellyfish that will swim with you and will display themselves along the shore * The color of water is "muddy"/brown but I think it is clean. * There is a good spot for pictorial but 30 meters away from the cottage area.

We stumbled on Sun Moon Beach Resort having been turned away at Montemar which is now members only which in turn was our planned last resort in the event of not finding anything else suitable. Sun Moon is in the next bay south of Montemar and shares many of its geographic attributes, although a far more simple and down to earth resort. It was pleasing to find no hard sell sales guys trying to lure you into the resort - one particularly hateful aspect of beach going in the Philippines. The resort itself is a collection of cottages, small lodging houses, outdoor kitchen and shower/toilet amenities. We stayed in a cottage with a main room suitable for 8+ and a loft for 2+. The CR was fine with running cold water, shower and flush toilet. Unusually for this type of CR in Philippines there were actually wall hooks - something notably absent in the majority of CRs nationwide. The place is by no means luxurious, but I have stayed in far worse places. They do a very good job with what they have. The accommodation was clean, bed sheets and pillows clean with no suspect odor, no insect problem - flying or crawling, the staff attentive and pleasant, the a/c units recent and functional. For what it is I found it very good indeed. The lot could be developed into a multi million resort or sold off to Ayala Land for a pretty peso. But until then Sun Moon Beach Resort remains a hidden gem of a place. Note we had spent the day roaming the entire coastline looking at all the other resorts. Sun Moon cam as a relief for us. Bring your own towels and food. There is a 7-Eleven in the nearby town of Bagac at the 3-way junction with the monument.
