This is a one beach one resort location. I discovered it through internet research. I only stayed overnight but if you wanted a quiet, clean beach with calm water to swim and chill this would be your best choice on Romblon.
My bungalow was of average size. The bed had clean linen and was comfortable. There was a small wardrobe, table and chair and pedestal fan. Lighting was adequate. The window curtains did not provide total privacy.
The bathroom was a wet room with cold water shower and adequate pressure. A bucket was provided to flush the toilet.
As the bungalows are located up along the hill they all have a balcony with table and chairs. Unfortunately the sea view is virtually screened out by many trees.
The restaurant had a modest food menu. The food was okay. Bring your insect repellant for night time dining.
There is no internet data connection, hence no wifi is available.
Plenty of shade along the beach, the beach is clean, though it's fairly rocky in the water. The water is very calm.
Good quiet place to hang out for a couple of hours or all day. I think entry was only 50 pesos.
They organised my trike transport for the following morning.
Overall, based on what is offered, I think the price of the bungalow is reasonable.

I could not recommend this place highly enough! Having looked at quite a few places, this was by far the best. We stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the food and most particularly, the smiles and "can do" attitude of the staff who even managed to cook meals for 13 people by candlelight during a power cut while smiling! Beautiful beach and lovely hut too

We spent five days at this beach resort, and it was so worth it. You just need to see the beach and you'll know that you have chosen the right place to stay. The rooms are very basic, no AC, just fans. The island of Romblon, Romblon has problems with electricity so be prepared with some power outages, if that happens, just open the windows and your fine.

The resort is about 20 minutes away from the Poblacion (town center) so meals are served at the resort but do not worry because the food tastes great! Mostly meat like chicken and pig, veggies are hard to find, so if you want vegetables and fruits try buying it at the Poblacion.

Will I return to this resort? Definitely YES!

If you are thinking of investing your hard earned money here then think again. Reading those positive reviews makes me think they are either written by the owner's family members or friends to lure in unsuspecting tourists.

Whatever the purpose of this place is, may it be for people who are looking to connect with nature or to just relax and get away from the civilization it has to have those basic amenities that were lacking I mentioned below.

This is our experience: We couldn't find anywhere online to book accommodation for this place so we just decided to show up with no reservation. The resort itself is roughly a kilometre away from the main road. We had to walk down passing through those what it seems to be some squatter houses and at that point I was starting to get worried and thought that the driver had dropped us at the wrong area. When we finally got to the gate but we had to walk down again to get the reception. We were welcomed by one of the workers. I informed her we are looking to spend a couple nights. Her tone of voice changed, she looked irritated and told us that we should have reserved prior to arriving. I was shocked therefore I couldn't respond. I brushed it off and paid P1600 around $30, $15 a night. From foreigner's perspective that price seem reasonable but to a local that is a lot to pay for only two nights. We had to wait for a while to get our room ready so we decided to go to the beach while we were waiting. Beach was nice and peaceful. Finally the worker came up to us and told us the room is ready. We walked to our accommodation, when we got there we looked around and it was not okay nor acceptable. No fresh soap, we had this used soap used by the last guest or the last guest before that. No shower, we had to used the tap to fill up the bucket. No flushing toilet, we had to fill up the bucket and used it to flush. No air conditioner, it was muggy and sweaty. We had electric fan but it was old and rusty. Later in the afternoon we went out to the town to get dinner, as we were walking out a staff member rushed to us and told us we have to be back before 10PM.

The following day was slow and normal, we had lunch at the reception/restaurant/bar. They made us what we ordered and they were delicious and when we finished I bought another bottle of beer to take it with me to our room, as we were walking away this woman she must the resort owner yelled at us to say they have no alcohol policy in the accommodation. Really!? Another hidden policy.

I would not recommend this place to relax and unwind at all. The place itself is rundown and in need of total transformation. I also don't think it's worthy enough to be labelled as "resort".

Getting there from the main road is approximately 700 slippery zig-zag metres. When we got there, one of the staff members approached and talked to us. She wanted us to pay first before we can use the beach. Moving forward we rented a shack and we had this smelly and musty rotting piece of big wood log as our "table". The sand on the shore is okay but be careful when you go for a swim because there are sharp stones underneath. We rented a couple of cottages to spend the night but it was a horrible experience! Muggy inside and no air conditioner. There was no coffee or tea amenities in the cottage, not even a kettle. The toilet had no flush therefore we had to use a bucket of water to flush. We could not sleep not only because it was muggy but also the wind noise hitting the cottage. It was too noisy as if there was a typhoon circling the cottage.

We had no expectations going to this resort because it was a last minute decision to pass by romblon island as part of our backpacking trip across Romblon. From the port, we rode a tricycle for 20-30 mins to the resort and upon arriving, we were impressed with the aesthetic of the resort. The rooms were set atop a cliff and you had to climb some steps going up. There was no tv nor air condition in the rooms but the cool breeze from the ocean was enough. There was a shower in the bathroom but the toilet we occupied was the pour-flush type. We didn't mind this at all. For P700 a night, the place was truly worth so much more.

Oh and The food was sooo good and NOT pricey at all.

Because it was drizzling and windy when we were there, we weren't able to take a swim. We enjoyed hanging out beach side during our stay and our son couldn't get enough of the golden sand (loooove the sand color). We definitely will come back.

My husband & I just spent 2 weeks at the resort and loved it. We visited all the other resorts on the island and nothing in this price range came close. Staff were fantastic. Always happy to help. If i wanted something not on the menu they were happy to try. Attention to detail has clearly been made here with the garden and stonework. It really did look loverly. There are multiple areas to chill out... hammocks, beach, garden, restaurant etc. The location is great 20 minutes from town 20pesos by shared tricycle 200 private. Beach is just beautiful and mostly had it to ourselves. Good snorkling. Only 700 pesos a night :-). *** Stop at Toytoys bar 10minutes up the path.. Great guy, good food & 30peso San Mig :-) ***

We recently stayed here for 3 nights in our own cottage with fan for 600 pesos a night (after some negotiation). The room was great about 30 metres from the water. We paid 200 pesos for a tricycle to take us from the Parc Bay Mansion (the owner Ritchie organised it for us as the other tricycle drivers wanted to charge us 350 pesos) which was a good price as it is about 15 km away. The resort itself is really nice with loads of different areas for chilling out. The food was a little expensive so my suggestion is to buy a few basics in the town before you go there. The beach was great for snorkelling although you need to be careful for sea urchins when you go further out but no problem in shallow when you are swimming. The corals are nice just 20m offshore and I saw loads of fish, clams, and various other shellfish. I think there is a sanctuary around to the right side of the beach and this is where I also saw some bigger clams and also a small sea snake... We really enjoyed our stay here and it has been one of the highlights so far on our travels around the Visayas

Clean and quiet beach accommodation for the reasonable price . They serve native chikens , fresh fish and brewed coffee . Beach is good for swimming with easy entrance especialy in hightide . But there a lot of stones and corals . Snorkeling and freediving --less then everage .

We were looking for a few quiet days to chill in uncomplicated surroundings, on a beach, inexpensively. San Pedro gave us all that and more. Good food, great value and some of the coldest beers known to mankind. We were lucky and had the place to ourselves, but even at busier times, the rooms are spaced sufficiently for privacy, and the beach is a good sIze with room for a fair number of people.
The rooms were clean, basic and good value, and its the first time we've stayed in a native style place with real marble floors!
The water was clear and the corals in good condition, and we took the time in the early mornings to go bird watching in the grounds and along the quiet lane that leads back to the highway.
The food was freshly made, so took a while sometimes, but was good value. Lemon and Pepper roast chicken gets a special mention, as does the American breakfast.
We loved it, and would recommend the resort for a few days down time, particularly mid week when it's at its quietest. We made our meal choices early, and didn't suffer from any delays in service as some people seem to have judging from some reviews.
HOWEVER, if you need Aircon, strong WiFi, fast food, cable tv, walking distance to other restaurants and bars, and activities on tap to enjoy yourself, this is not tell place for you. Don't book here expecting that, then complain about it later.....it's an uncomplicated place for a few uncomplicated days.
