This will have been my 3rd stay in as many months and continue to be disappointed at the level of cleanliness and service the hotel offers.
The staff are trained in paying attention to details. Here are a few examples of issues I have encountered.
* Bathrooms not cleaned properly
* Bulbs not working
* Online Reservations lost or ignored
* Front desk staff not following up on questions
* Restaurant staff not completing the basic steps of service
* Chipped plates used
* Restaurant bathroom in very poor shape
This hotel prides itself on being the best in Pagadian and that may be true but being the best of a list of bad hotels isn't something one should be proud of.
This property has a great deal of potential and only needs the management to start paying attention and working with the staff to follow procedures and paying attention to details.

Having read some of the reviews posted I am surprised just how unfairly harsh they are. Franky you get what you pay for. our room was spacious with ensuite & refrigerator. The hotel is situated across the street from Gaisano Mall, the traffic is heavy but we were not disturbed at all by traffic noise. One issue was the noisy air conditioning & two power outlets that didn't work. WiFi only operated in the Lobby/restaurant & then it was intermittent. Staff were courteous, food reasonable.

HOWEVER ..We stayed over Easter & come Good Friday we rose & went down stairs for Breakfast. Most of my party chose the "complimentary breakfast", I asked for the American, bacon & eggs. I was delivered cold bacon, cold scrambled eggs, cold toast & warm rice.

Being Good Friday we didn't expect that much would be happening so prepared to just chill in our room or in the lobby. Come lunch time we went down to the Dining room only to be told that there would be no more meals served for the day because they were cleaning the dining & kitchen area.The woman at Reception made the claim that we were told the night before. This did not happen at all & i reminded her that had we known we would not be complaining & would have been able to make alternative arrangements, All she could say was 'I'm sorry, Im very very sorry" Sorry did not feed my family. I have never ever stayed in a hotel with a Dining area that closed while they had guests.Unfortunately this has soured our experience at this hotel.

If I had guests I would expect to feed them, a hotel is no different, they couldn't/wouldn't offer any alternatives.
We were forced to go out & about looking for food elsewhere -

Hotels need to realise that it is often about the experience travelers have rather than the general quality of the hotel, unfortunately this "experience" has altered the way I now feel about this hotel. I have downgraded my original rating from 6/10 to a 2/10.

I was told the reason why I was booked here was that there was no other place for a medical conference. Located a few meters across the Gaisano mall could be a curse as the noise emanating from the busy street can be heard all the way to your room. Good luck trying to sleep. The toilet in the room was leaking like crazy and completely soaked the two towels they provided. There is only one electric outlet aside from the A/C (same as the smallish TV), so if you are bringing a laptop, pack along a really loooong extension cord as the table is located at the opposite wall. I ordered room service of chicken rice soup and tuna sashimi and this is the reason I gave 2 stars because the food was delicious. However, turning your back for a few seconds and a cockroach is already sharing your plate! Going to the 4th floor conference room it looks so run down I am at a loss for words. And the toilet? The stinkiest one I've seen in any hotel, ever! For those who say this is a great place to stay, maybe you were very lucky or obviously blind.

It took 7-9minutes to travel from the terminal to the hotel. A hospital was infront of the hotel and beside the hospital was a small mall. When i arrived, the security guard was the who helped me with my luggage. The lobby was small and on my left to the concierge was their restaurant. Few tables and chairs that can be occupied for people who wants to dine. And on my left was the elevator and the stairway. It was a bit dark when you use the stairs. I was given a room not more than 7 minutes. The bellhop carried my things to the room. My room was almost a medium size, a/c was installed below the window, and the TV was LCD flat. The room has its own cabinet for the guest's personal things. The bathroom was small but i was shocked when i found crawling insects on the floor and on the sink. The next day, i went to their restaurant and few minutes of sitting flying insects were hovering on my table. This not what i want for you guys to spent your time and money on this hotel.

If its not for an important business meeting, I will never go back to this hotel. Locals consider this hotel as the best in Pagadian... I dont think so. My room in partcular has a very disgusting bathroom - with shower heads connected to a toilet's biddet (see photos). Also my room smells like a grilled pork because the exhaust of their kitchen is probably near the exhaust of my room's airconditioning. The hotel has a wierd interior design. Stupid architectural design. Hallways are confusing, stairs are located in unexpected places. Lobby is spacious. Each floor has a lobby but are not utilized. Wifi is weak on my room. Rooms have limited electrical outlets. Housekeeping is lazy. They dont clean your room unless you ask them too.

I reserved a room here for an overnight stay. We have a vehicle with us. When we arrived, they have no parking area. And the only option is to park at the back of the block, on the street. There were security guards present, but they did not bother assisting us.

The guard at the entrance told us to park at the back. There’s another guard there. We made three rounds before we could get a spot. When we alighted, we thought there’s a back entrance. Since this is their designated parking space. But no, we had to walk all the way to the opposite side carrying all our things. Because apparently they’re not helping us.

I called the front desk but they didn’t bother as well. I just opted to cancel the reservation.

There are now stricter laws on street parking. We understand this. But the apathy and the “we couldn’t care less” attitude is what pissed me off. I wouldn’t want to spend my time and my money in this type of company who doesn’t give a care to their customers.

There are better accommodations in Pagadian City for the same price, but, it’s too late for me to change hotel, some of my colleagues have already checked-in. The hotel would charge my colleagues the full amount if they back out. We all wanted to stay in one hotel, so I decided to join them. Anyway, I did not want to change hotel for no reason. Having seen the rooms given to my colleagues, and eventually my own room, I was disappointed.

I stayed at room 211, a junior suite (one thing I learned is not to equate the junior suites of big hotels to junior suites of small, low-end hotels). My room is dimly lit, the ceiling is low (just like the lobby of the hotel). The room is located by the road side so it is really noisy, but understandable. Their aircon is functioning but it is old and noisy, too, adding to my discomfort. The bathroom floor looks dirty and some water pipes are corroded. The bed is okay but pillows are hard. And worst, according to my colleague, there are baby roaches in her room! (She stayed at room 305).

The room I got is for two. When I get a room for two I try to maximize my payment by ordering breakfast for two especially if breakfast is plate-in and serving is too small for a decent meal. The hotel does not allow that. One breakfast for one guest because breakfast is complimentary. Hmmm, isn’t breakfast included in room costing? I was disappointed because I did not have the same problem in other hotels I’ve stayed in.

The elevator is way too narrow for comfort, use the stairs instead if you’re only on the second floor, but be careful because the stair is also not well lit.

The hotel security guard assisted us in parking our car but no one met us at the entrance, so we carried our own bags. We arrived at around 1PM and hurried to the restaurant to eat. Unfortunately, there were only about 2-3 people serving and it took them a while to get to us. We decided to leave. Anyway, food at the hotel resto is pricey (for this type of hotel), so I suggest you get your fill of food somewhere else,

What is good about the hotel: Linens are clean, front desk staff is nice, water supply is good, and it is located right smack in the middle of the city in front of a big department store. It has a decent coffee shop nearby. However, Hotel Guillermo is a stone’s throw away and there’s a new hotel called Chandler Suites, you may want to check these two hotels out before you choose Hotel Alindahaw.

We stayed again in this hotel last June 2012 after our relatives failed to pick us up at the airport. This is our 2nd time to stay in this hotel. The lobby and cafeteria were newly renovated. Bigger sitting area for the guests waiting for their tours. Very accomodating staff and It is situated walking distance to Gaisano Mall are plus points for this hotel. The rooms need to be renovated to allow guests enjoyable stay. Since it is located in the city proper you could not get a better sleep due to the noises coming from the tricycles.

We checked in this hotel from sept. 30 to oct 1. As soon as you entered the door you could already notice that it was not properly illuminated. The ceiling is low so you could already noticed the darkness in the reception area. Rooms are small and noisy. You better check in other hotels than waste your money here in Alindahaw.
