We had a great experience here! The bungalows are very cute and cozy. It's definitely no frills, and I recommend taking an extra pillow if you are like me and need at least two to sleep well. We did sleep well, though, with the sounds of nature! To be honest, we also used a sound machine with white noise because sometimes the nature in Costa Rica is quite loud. The hot pools are amazing with a lot of seating options and quiet areas to relax. Everyone who worked there was so kind and helpful!! Breakfast was good and we also ate one meal there and it was delicious!! We would compare staying here to glamping. Again, low on the frills, but a nice bed, hot shower and private bathroom! Fun!
Had fun even though I felt like I might injury myself trying to get into the elevated hot spring area. Cozy bar area had decent drinks and good service, lockers and bathroom area was clean. Slides were a hoot, start off slow and then drop! Fun and affordable, have fun!
I would characterize this resort as glamping. Facilities were very clean including private bathroom. No A/C, but we had a fan and slept with a blanket. The food was very nice, the hotel staff and manager were exceptional. The pool were labeled for temperature and very nice. Seating an hammock were under cover to enjoy even if it rained. The manager went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable.
termalitas de Arenal is a Costa Rican family fun place to relax. Nine pools of various temperatures are surrounded by trees and flowers. Bring in your own food or purchase at the snack bar. These pools are abour a 10 minute taxi ride from the center of La Fortuna. We didn't intend to spend the day, but found it hard to leave.
My partner and I just spent 2 nights here. It was my birthday treat and they made our stay the best. The cabin is soooo cute, very clean with great services. The staff even brought me a beautiful birthday cake and the whole family sang me me Happy Birthday. How great is that!! I want to also mention I felt like I was in Gilligans Island very unique stay. I appreciate all the staff here and would like to Thank You for the wonderul stay AMAZING!
A group of us traveled from Punta Mona to La Fortuna for a few days. We came across this lovely place our first day but ended up at the free river access. After a day of hiking Fortuna we were hungry and wanted to find a cheap but fun thermal access spot. We literally stumbled back into Termales de Arenal almost on accident. It was basically only us five amongst the several pools, which also includes a waterslide! The staff were highly friendly, the pools hot, the food good and inexpensive... And it was only a 4k colones/person entry fee! Majorly cheaper and friendlier than every place nearby. When our rental vehicle wouldn't start, the bartender helped us for about a half hour until the battery was charged despite being quite busy himself. In every way this was a major score for us. Everyone should stop in that wants a quaint local experience.…
