Great location close to beach. Room is quite spacious. Bed is very comfortable. Wifi was very good. Room was very clean. Reception and check in was smooth. Meals are available every evening but we didn't have time to try out the restaurant. Only thing missing was a hair-dryer.

We stayed two nights in a first floor unit with a balcony that overlooked the street,. Room had a kettle and toaster with a small fridge. Bed was comfortable although the linen was looking it’s age, it was clean. Friendly owner in reception. The best part was the 3 course buffet meal for $20 pp Soup, main and dessert.

We recently stayed in a large room at the Kurrimine Beach Motel. Whilst the room size was good, the standard of cleanliness was poor. The bed linen was stained and the crockery and microwave had to be cleaned before use. The table was had not been wiped and was covered in dirt. The room rate ($175 per night) included breakfast and dinner. There was limited food remaining at dinner when we entered the dining room 20 minutes after opening and no breakfast was provided. We would not recommend this motel.

Stayed for one night while travelling south with another couple. Pool was cloudy and had an excessive amount of chlorine which turned my underwear white. Room was reasonable size and clean. Amenities were sufficient for budget accommodation. Staff were quite friendly and accomodating.

The Kurrimine Beach Motel was a great find, it is located 200 yards from Kurrimine Beach in a quiet village a couple of hours drive from Cairns. We stayed a couple of nights in a room that contained all that was required to make our stay comfortable. The bed was quite comfortable and we were lucky to have a room with a balcony from which one could see the ocean through the trees that line the beachfront. Our room also contained a kitchenette with basic facilities which made the preparation of meals or breakfast easy. There is limited shopping in town so it is best to take any food supplies with you. The motel has an onsite restaurant which has a set nightly $15 menu ie Sunday nights is BBQ night with a variety of meats and salads, soup and desert. Other nights include fish nights, steak nights, pizza & pasta nights etc. However Saturday night is the big night of the week with a special menu at a cost of $20. The bar is a great for a chat with the well traveled hosts Yvonne and Merv and the beer and wine prices are extremely reasonable. I have no hesitation in recommending that you look up the motel in the phone directory and give Yvonne a call to get the best price available.

What a Gem! Yvonne & Merv were our friendly hosts who went out of their way to look after our group. Home style cooking and warm hospitality.... We had fun and thought about the “green, green grass of home” Thank you Yvonne, Merv and Kareen

This motel may be one of the only options in Kurrimine (which is maybe why they think they can charge $100 for a single room),but they really need to spend some money on renovating the rooms...or maybe l just got an old one! Very old, dirty furnishings, very noisey fridge, the cheapest kettle you can buy. The floor hadnt been swept and there was dirt between the bedspread and sheet. This would all have been fine for a $50 room.

we had planned a day trip to Kurrimine Beach, but we got caught up in the celebrations of the family, by the time we realised What time it was .. it was too late to travel home, so off to the motel, the lady that served us was super friendly, and helpful, she arranged to have us in a section of the motel that would allow us to leave early without disturbing to many others (we were on bikes) and left at 5:30. The room was spacious, clean, wouldn’t say ultra modern but none the same it did us as a place to sleep for the night, The king size bed was very comfortable, the sheets were crisp, all the pillows were firm (not to firm) The towels were soft and fluffy, The bathroom was very clean, the body wash/ shampoo was a tea tree soap, it was lovely! The only down fall was there wasn’t any milk for coffee, everything else was supplied except milk!
