I visited the property with my fiancé the last week of June into July. Once we arrived we were whisked away to the club lounge while we waited to be checked in. We were also welcomed with a nice refreshing cocktail. Nothing surprising here as we are used to the Hyatt properties and service. We stayed on the Zilara side and this review is largely based on that side of the property. Being club level we were however able and did access the Ziva side of the property. First, the property is absolutely stunning! The amount of detail that goes into making this property stand out is amazing. To keep it presentable, the staff goes around all day staying on top pf everything. I mean the chairs have to line up detail and all those little things you don’t pay attention to. This is a huge property with a wide variety of restaurants, multiple pools including a club pool with premium drinks, multiple lounges and plenty to keep you entertained should you decide to stay on the property for a week or more. The service is like none other. We had a staff member who is considered a personal butler named Enger (comes with club level) that helps you with anything you need. I mean anything and just about anytime. We honestly really didn’t have a need for him but he went above and beyond to ask questions and assist with stuff we didn’t really need help with. If we wanted champagne, he made sure it was sent up to the room. He scheduled our covid test prior to departure and checked in with us everyday. The activities staff were just as friendly. We interacted with Delfyn, Brayan and Arturo almost everyday and they always try to get you involved in activities on the property. The restaurant staff and lounge staff were just as incredible. There was always someone around on the ready to get you a drink. It almost felt like you had a one to one experience. Be sure to show your appreciation for their hardwork because they are all truly deserving. Now this is where it goes south, the food. I have seen people rave about the food and I know I will never eat at their house if invited because I know what to expect. So there are about 9 or so restaurants. 2 buffets split between zilara and ziva. This has to be the worst food I ever had at any of the Hyatt properties! I do not know if re-emerging from the pandemic while still practicing safety measures played a role but that still does not explain why food shouldn’t have any flavor or worse why I should be served a raw piece of steak. Why am I on that side of the globe and french fries and a burger are what I consider the best options on there? No excuse really. Coffee was awful and it came in these kiddie cups that was just about the size of an espresso. I am surprised I did not get sick on the property but my stomach was messed up the whole week after. The last night we went to the Asian restaurant and my fiancé had sushi. She offered me some and I told her no way I am getting sick on our last day or on the plane. She ended up having a messed up stomach all week too. It was weird because we weren’t severely sick but we ate at the property all week. The only restaurants that truly stood out were Brandos, Journeys and the Italian restaurant. The food was amazing at those places. I think it’s a shame that they go all out to put up this great property, staff it with the most amazing people, get the littlest of details right but when it comes to the food, they forget who they are.…
What an amazing resort! For one it’s absolutely beautiful, well kept and safe. The food is excellent and drinks are excellent. It has an amazing gym and so many restaurant options. It has healthy options as well. This was hands down the best resort experience we have had. The staff is all so friendly and helpful! Team Shutters and Anthony and the gym staff were outstanding, mainly the spin instructor and yoga instructor.
This place is gorgeous, such a beautiful resort! The rooms were great, the staff perfection, the food tasty, the beach, pool, spa, entertainment all top notch! Our butler Frandy we’ll never forget his hospitality. We will be back!
Hyatt Zilara is precisely what the doctor ordered. Especially with the help and service of Frandy. He was very friendly, outgoing, and constantly checking in on us. Unbelievable service and beautiful person! My wife and I highly recommend the Hyatt Zilara and club experience. We will absolutely be back. **Special shout out to my boi Frandy! You are the man!
We have visited many tourist complexes around the world, and we have visited fantastic places, I had never been treated like there, the common areas were always clean, the beach is impeccable, they have very good demeanor with the protocol. It is located in cap cana, the hotel is absolutely beautiful, the attentions of the staff are magnificent, the food is very good, we visited all the restaurants and I could never define which was the best. Entertainment is fun they have different types of shows and at night there is a live singer also in the afternoons, Arturo was great he made us sexy with his classes in the afternoon, we loved the place we love the people of that place. The best in Dominican republic, highly recommend.
