The property and accommodation were all of high quality considering the region. The New Britain diving sites accessible from the resort are all spectator.
Island Helicopter tours are also offered. The resort uses local produce and cuisine in meals, which while delicious deviates from the...More
Walindi is set in Paradise! A beautiful resort surrounded by stunning nature (ocean and gardens), just out of Kimbe town. The bungalow rooms were amazing with everything you could possibly want. The diving and snorkelling was incredible with good visibility most days, stunning coral and...More
From the moment we arrived we knew this was somewhere special. We stayed here for more than a week in a bungalow, the roofs made of bush materials, overlooking the sea. Rather than ghastly air conditioning, the rooms use fans with good roof airflow so...More
Wow! Where do I even start? We just returned from our trip to Walindi this week and this is certainly a trip we will be telling our future grandchildren about. What an incredible experience! We felt so welcomed by everyone at Walindi.

Hi Kadala, thank you for your question. We have excellent snorkeling here in Kimbe Bay - many of our reefs come to the surface providing the perfect environment to swim. There are several options available, you can either snorkel off the shore, take a small boat to a nearby reef or join the regular dive boat to reefs further out. Each night our dive manager will check on all guests at dinner and make a plan for the next day that suits everybody. So if there are a mix of divers and snorkelers we will make sure that the sites chosen are also suitable for snorkelers. You can also read the recent review by catwomen83 who were snorkelers - I hope this helps.

Hi Travelingsun, thank you for your enquirer. We have several options for snorkelling. You can either snorkel directly out the front on our house reef which has some great reef but for the best we recommend going out further into Kimbe Bay. You can either join the diving day boat or charter your own private snorkel boat.
If you were to go out with the dive boat sites would be picked to suit everybody and luckily the vast majority of our reefs come right to the surface making them ideal for snorkellers as well. We are very fortunate to have easy conditions so no currents and good visibility. Time of year is also a factor with Apr-June and Sept- DEC being ideal for snorkellers.
Kimbe bay has over 420 species of hard coral and over 900 species of fish so lots of diversity and the reefs are what Kimbe Bay are famous for.
I recommend you contact our reservations department and they can email you all the information. On our trip advisor page there is a link to email us.
I hope this helps.
