Detailed Reviews
Pros: Views were spectacular; Family Economy rooms x2 which fit each family comfortably(11 total). Staff was very helpful; ask for Cafe Barako(local coffee); Public areas were clean and maintained; Food was good but took a while to be served; Security guard on duty at all times;
Cons: Bathrooms could use updating, one didn't have a toilet seat cover; Bring your necessities with you cash, snacks, drinks and booze, it's a 15-min drive on the steep road or 30-min drive to/from Tagaytay City using the longer route if you want food/drink other than what they serve. No other decent restaurant in area.
The pool was ok in the sense that we got there right after the pool was cleaned an we had first dibs on clean water. The second day must have been the day they put the chlorine in as my son's rash guard faded from navy blue to gray, filmy gunk on the surface of the pool days 2-3 as more people came in(Filters anyone?). Flies at mealtimes.
We got a cheaper boat ride P1,000 thru the boatmen in the resort next door(We haggled).

My fave room has refrig. what i love about that room is just in front of the videoke area, coz im a videoke freak :) i love the food, the staff very accommodating, the guard very nice and will give you warm welcome and smile,. they always gave me 1hr free use of the videoke. 1hr in billiards. The free breakfast is good. Once in a while they will text me giving me discounts to visit again. how sweet right? :)

There was street construction so we cant drive into the resort. The security guard assured us that our vehicle is safe, good enough. The resort is well laid out. Nice little touches here and there. A videoke room in the view deck and a secluded one across the restaurant. Theres something about singing in this town, lol. Theres birdhouses along a walkway, a pool table and a single basketball hoop. Theres also a cozy little kubo where you can laze out with a good book. Theres a few tables by the water where you can eat meals or have a drink while watching the sunset. The rooms are clean and spacious with decent beddings and linens. They have a good sized pool too.
The staff is highly commendable. Theyre eager to attend to your needs. You will see them cleaning the place every chance they get. They helped us shuttle our baggages checkin in and out. Great hospitable service, I say good management.
Next time i visit, i will bring a light fishing pole! The fishes hangs out by the resort wall which is very inviting indeed! Im sure even a novice will catch some. I also saw a turtle swimming about just a few meters away from the resort. There is no real lake swimming area. You wouldnt want to anyway due to the grass.
Overall, a very nice weekend getaway. You should come check it out.

This place recomend by our good friends from Talisay and so i bring our family balikbayans where we stay 2days 1 night. We love the pool as well the viewdeck of the resort to catch the perfect view panoramic of taal lake. Also our dear friend from Germany enjoy as well when we come up all the way to the top view of taal volcano. The view and experience riding on boat and horse backriding all the way to the top was exciting. Just follow the tour guide advise for your safety while on your adventure trecking going up to the volcano. Its such a great vacation in the Philippines indeed.♡♡♡

Scenic view, but poorly maintained rooms and facility; Noisy AC; steep stairs -- no elevator; does not accept credit card -- local currency only; noisy environment all the time; not much parking space.

+1
We went to this resort in August and did not stay due to time constraints so this review is for the restaurant only and does not include any review of the rooms. The place was empty when we got there. The staff were nice enough to let us order food and show us around. They let us use the facilities and our kids played basketball while waiting for our orders. The food is delicious and was freshly cooked! We would have stayed but our itinerary have changed and we had to head back to our hotel in Pasay. The pool could use some cleaning. There were some trash in the beach area. The staff are the friendliest I've met and will definitely come back here in the future.

Atmosphere: Since my girlfriend and I were the only people staying there, it was super quiet and romantic. The staff had informed me that a huge group of individuals had left, and we were solo... So for the few nights we had stayed it was super quiet.
Staff: Being used to where my girlfriend lives (4 walls and a roof) it was way above average. Everyone we came into contact with was super friendly, and always had a smile on their face.
Room: Has the basics. Soap, water, toilet, AC, and bath. Bath consists of a toilet room with shower and sink, with a drain in the middle. Ladle and 5 gallon bucket to fill water and wash/rinse. No hot water in bathroom/"Shower" is available. Better be used to cold baths/shaving!
Entertainment: Above the view of Lake Ta'al, what other entertainment do you need? If you're there with a big group, they have a karaoke room, and two other roof-top halls to use. First-floor they have an open area to view the water and a pool table. I enjoyed most of my nights there alongside my lady while getting my butt-kicked at pool. Front-Desk staff has numbers and connections to get you transported where you need on the lake.
Eats: Simple menu was available for breakfast/ lunch/ dinner, and I always stuck to the Filipino breakfast set because of where we were at. My Filipino girlfriend said the Tapsilog was among the best she ever had, and believe me, she is a very picky eater. (outside of her 62 year-old mother's cooking).
Upside: Views of Lake Ta'al!!!/ Quiet and Romantic/ Super friendly staff/ Pool.
Downside (Personal Opinion): Would not trust waterfront area for swimming because all of the rusty rebar stick-ups right off of the pier facing the lake, and do not know how dirty the water is... a little run-down to call it a "Resort".
All Aside: I would most definitely stay there again. Being from Texas, I don't care about swimming in the lake, or the other negatives. It's a room, on a lake, with a volcano in the middle... gotta see the sights, and I wasn't sleeping on the ground, while being eaten alive by mosquitoes!

We stayed four nights here and by the end of the stay we felt that this was the best place in this lakeside community despite the nightly noise from the neighbouring basketball or civic halls. Our review is measured by what we saw in the area which is a small fishing lakeside resort that seen better days. Nonetheless we came and did what we wanted to do ie trek up to the Taal volcano lake and also to experience rural Philippines. The website pictures are dated. Most weekends are full of families with children enjoying themselves in the pool. During week days, we were most probably the only guests for breakfast & dinner which was excellent home food cooking! Transport back to Manila was best using the bus at Taygatay (up the mountain from VK Villa Khristalene Resort) and it was a comfortable 2 hour ride and costing no more than 200 Pp for two people plus our luggage.

Cockroaches in bathroom and bedroom, breakfast ok but not good, the bed the most uncomfortable in the world.
Air con worked sort of (bit noisy).
The price 3000p I can get a room in central Manila for 2500 with brand new bed air con etc.
The extra does not pay for a nice view.
Left after the first night. A big disappointment. Oh and yes the pool looked really dirty, there’s a dead bird in a birdcage in the garden. The staff doing their best but the “kitchen” way too small and filthy.
Thank goodness the videoke was not turned on!
Oh and the bathroom floor was stained and dirty.

Yes they have but not much, its on a first come first serve.
It's kinda far for tricycle, I think.
There are boats there ready to take you for volcano tour, with tourist guides. You can arrange with the boatman directly or thru the resort.
