Detailed Reviews

as most review, this is purely my personal opinion.
staff were very friendly and very nice. my family booked the place for a few days while i booked mine only for 1 night...in the end i stayed the same days by re-booking every day. can't remember his name but the front desk guy was very pleasant and was very accommodating. this is true for everyone working there from the guard at the gate, grounds keepers, room and restaurant staff.
this has gotta to be one of the best view within taal lake. its very close to tagatay so can't complain.
now lets talk about the rooms. we stayed at the mabini building, 4th floor, and there's a few issues. yes, the wifi most of the time was not working. on our first day, it was offline. the water pressure was horrible the whole time. you have to time your shower otherwise you will see droplets of water. tv/cable like wifi was none existence. all of these i mentioned would be bad luck if i'm talking about 1 room. sad to say it happened to not 1, not 2, but all 3 rooms that we booked.
we managed to survive even with the room issues.
would i go back or recommend it, for the view and staff, I may. i am telling myself that these issues might be due to lack of staff due to covid and they are just starting to comeback.
i hope this is the case.

The beach resort is ideal for travelers of all ages. The beach is clean and well-maintained. The staff are approachable and helpful too. There are a lot of activities to do where kids, teens, and adults can enjoy. But what I enjoy the most are the view and the food. The Taal lake and volcano seems to be near the coast. We also got to eat grilled fresh tawilis and tilapia. Overall, it was a great experience.

Hands down to the friendly, accommodating and courteous staff.
The place was just amazing... you're like in another time.
There are lots of things / activities to do or if you just wanna chill, I recommend Balai Isabel!
The view of the lake, the Taal volcano, the sunrise and the sunset... makes you just wanna stay there.
Cleanliness is at par!
Highly recommended!

Customer Service is terrible!!! No one responded to my email a week before our scheduled accommodation. When we arrived, we were informed that our room only have 2queen beds and a single bed with a pullout bed contrary to our original booking of 3queen beds. What made it even worse, the wifi didn't work! And their staff doesn't seemed bothered as if it was a common complaint from guests. We had to call their front desk thrice for assistance before they send someone to our room. Even with their technical guy around, the internet didn't work. He even admitted that the internet connection is quite poor to even establish a stable youtube connection. Speedtest only had less than 10mbps upload/download speed. Even if we tried mobile tethering, the android tv's netflix app is not still working. Seemed like the app version is outdated. Bedside lamp is not working as well! Overall, a terrible experience! We should've booked somewhere else. Definitely NOT recommending the place to anyone I know.

Good : Nice view of the lake, great to swim in their warm pool, good internet connection
Bad : No elevator - have to carry heavy luggage ourselves to our room at the third floor
Have to call reception each time for someone to clean the room and provide clean towels, etc.
TV lost signal after two days - technician who came to check says it always happens when there is rain. But the next day, there was no rain and we never got TV reception back

We checked out 3 hours ahead of schedule, we ran out of things to do. The facilities, although they are trying to maintain, are old and outdated. Don’t avail the breakfast at terraza. It’s a mediocre buffet with not enough options, you’ll get canned sausages and meatloafs. There’s a better pasta resto near the pool. It’s ok, but will not visit again.

Enjoyed the many pools they have and the provincial vibe. They have very nice rooms and helpful staff. We enjoyed walking around their area. It's a seriously nice place. We got to trek to taal. Just a boat ride away.

Good set of amenities. We enjoyed our overnight stay in Club Balai Isabel. We were not able to check other facilities when we stayed but will definitely go back. Will recommend the place to my friends and family. Can't wait to visit again and try the swimming pool.

After a 6 hour trip arrived at midday. Had to wait 2 hours as check in was 1400 hours. Another hour passed as 5 members of staff tried to get my room door open. Was eventually given another room. The balcony was filthy, the flower beds were littered with garbage, the tv did not work.

2 of the villas we rented were runsacked, causing us to lose millions worth of things (and memories).
We checked in at Club Balai, the place where the reception of the wedding we'll be attending will be held. We rented 2 villas, located at different areas. ALL of us left the resort at around 2pm as the wedding was scheduled at 3pm (it was 30-45 minutes away). We came back to Club Balai at around 5pm, The front door was locked and as we were waiting for the person who was holding the key, we realized that the backdoor was already opened. (We checked all doors before we left and made sure they were locked) Almost 95% of the things we left behind were robbed (money, gadgets, IDs, wallets, etc.). We left these as we couldn't bring all of them to the church and the reception would be at Club Balai anyway. Worse thing, the other villa we rented also got robbed. In total, we lost millions of pesos worth. Is it coincidence that we were robbed during the time that we were at the wedding? Obviously, the thieves knew that we will be gone during that time and won't be back until later. It was also weird that they knew the units of the bride and groom respectively (it wasn't side by side or across, FYI). Most of the guests came from abroad as the couple is based in the US.
They were able to check each and every room (1st floor to the attic) and all the luggage and bags we left on the floor closed or cabinet were found on the bed, opened.
We notified the staff as soon as possible and initially, they said the CCTVs around the area were FULLY FUNCTIONAL but later on admitted that the CCTVs in our area were broken since typhoon Glenda. Also, a same case of theft happened just last December 2015!! 2 months ago!! but the case was not pursued since the people involved were from the UK!!
We chose to hold our event in Club Balai as we knew it was private, SECURED and well known. How come they let this happen even after so many incidences? Our villa was even near the guard house and reception area!!!
What a very disappointing and embarrassing experience. I feel bad for the bride and groom who will always remember this horrible experience on the day that was supposed to be the best and most memorable for them.
