On one end of the Matabungkay Beach, crowd and commerce are everywhere.

If you are looking for a quiet (read: no videoke), restful and comfortable living space for the weekend, choose Bella Beach Resort. The rooms are varied (and affordable), its restaurant/bar is open 24/7, has a swimming pool and white-sanded beach.

It also has free Wi-Fi.

If you want a beach with little crowd, this is the resort. Had a daytour here, 300 pesos per person, they also offer cottage rental for 500 pesos. This is quite far from the establishments and restaurants. Getting there, you need to rent a tricycle for 50 pesos, one way. we talked to the driver to fetch us after several hours. Beach is only knee high, the same with rest of the matabungkay Beach area. We waited for the sunset here, and they removed the floating cottages in front, that's a plus. There are shower and toilet rooms, pool, and restaurant inside the resort.

I tried numerous times to book a room here via both Facebook and their phone as they have no option to book online. I had to send multiple messages which were often ignored. It took many attempts over a week to finally book a room. I was to be staying for the evening by myself while my boyfriend attended a wedding close by and therefore I had no transport. It was not until after I had checked in that we were informed that their kitchen was closed! I was told I could go to a nearby resort for dinner and that it was a 5 min walk, we worked it was almost a half an hour walk and I am recovering from a broken ankle.

I am glad that we didn't stay there as the room was less than average but it did cause a lot of hassle and a great deal more expense as I had no choice but to stay at a much more expensive hotel.

We've seen this place in the web, seems ok in the picture so we packed and decided to spend our weekend there. We travel thru Waze direction, as our dismay when we arrived. We're in the residential area, gate close and seems no sign that this place is a resort. We waited for 5 minutes outside and we're still unsure if we are at the right place. Someone open the gate, not smiling at all, so we go down from the car still uncertain and feeling a bit awkward..
The accommodation is 5k for the Bungalow, lean season rate. Expensive coonsidering of no free breakfast, place is tiny, pool is dirty and small, the beach is full of vendors, overall: awful place! We decided to leave and look for other place.

It was our first family outing and i can say the most memorable and happiest experience that we had. The place is so clean (twice a day they clean the whole area including the beach front). All the staff are very accomodating and helpful especially ate sally, she even help us to grilled our food. Good job bella beach resort. If you're looking for a relaxing, clean, great customer service beach resort in Lian Batangas i highly recommend this place.

The resort is quite big and the best part is that we have the place all for ourselves (there was supposed to be a typhoon, so guests before us went home already).

I love the beach, water is so clear and the sand is so fine.
Their pool area is just OK.

You could say their accommodation's affordable but when we asked for extra pillow, they need to charge us extra as well.

You can bring food and they have room that has sink but you have to bring your own cooking materials.

All in all, this is an OK resort for a big group and/or family.

Great place for quick hide away.We love their family room and super cold aircon. Off white sand. Its a bit hard to find when you visit for the first time, its hard to find freshly caught fish/seafoods on the area market is a bit too far. Food in their menu is mostly not available. Limited parking inside.

Bella Beach Resort's charm is in its escapist vibe. When you stand at their beachfront, you feel as if you have transported to a faraway destination to retreat and recharge when in fact you are just 2 hours away from the concrete jungle. Their staff is on their toes to attend to your needs. Their rooms are basic but functional. Their owner personally engages with visitors. The resort is also very pet-friendly. The best part is it's away from the videoke-pumped resorts that can get crazy especially at night. Definitely a must for those who trek to the Lian-Calatagan area.

We went here before the school started this year. We chose this because its beachfront, has a pool and its pet friendly. The place is big so our dog was able to roam around and our room was big too. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. We left one of our bags during our visit and they were nice enough
to return it via LBC free of charge.

I think the setbacks for the resort is mostly the cleanliness of the pool, the beachfront and the food. The pool really had a strong smell of chlorine which is an indication that they were probably not able to change the water for a long time. The beachfront has lots of dried leaves and seaweeds near the shore. It would have been better if they can just clean it to make it look nice. Also, the food is rather pricey considering the quality. Its a regular homecooked meal, nothing special but it cost 200 per meal so on our second day, we just decided to buy food outside the resort. Also, to warn the other visitors, you wont be able to swim during afternoon when its low tide because it looks like the water from the beach disappears. I mean you have to walk a long way to actually reach the water. But when its high tide, the water is just a few steps away.

So I would recommend the place if its just the staff and being a pet friendly resort. Hope they can improve the cleanliness soon.
