Just visited Batangas my partner had a company outing @ La Luz but it's just a day tour we wanted to stay overnight for the kids to enjoy but they are fully booked so we stayed @ this hotel the architectural structure is nice and old a vintage house with dim light effect I think it is an ancestral house that was converted into a hotel can't confirm seems front desk "Andrew" is un-approachable but the other guy named "Rommel" is just fine I think his on a night shift. Bed is a bit hard but for a tired person that's ok also the pillow it's just 1 regular size and a throw pillow in a single bed. (standard with twin bed type of room). The smell of almost everything is as old as it looks, even the pool it smells but it's not dirty, seems like they seldom change the water, also towel @ the room is not allowed to bring to the pool area as they have a different towel to use there but charge for P100/ea but you can ask politely to use it for free as what I did. When you order food and asked it to be sent to your room it has a 10% charge to your room rate, so we opt to eat @ their resto but no regret, it was a nice and clean and the server was nice to "Kim" the food taste average though so as the serving, price is same as if you dine in to Max's or Crisostomo. Overall if you're just looking for a place to stay because you've attended something within that area this is A ok but for a get away I don't recommend you'll be a bit disappointed.

3.5 out of 5 stars. A medium-sized hotel with an indoor pool. Location is excellent if you're attending a wedding or an event in San Juan town proper. In my case, I attended a wedding in the nearby church and drove to Aquatico for the reception. I paid P3,800 for 3 people with breakfast. Pros: *location within San Juan town proper *spacious and clean room (bed room slippers even provided) *polite staff *room had adequate furniture inside (closet, hangers, dresser, small sofa) * Fluffy new towels :) I loved them *nice simple Filipino breakfast inside an old house turned restaurant Cons: *Had a little misunderstanding upon check in about the rate for the 3rd person in the room *additional bed is actually just an additional mattress (good thing was, it was big and firm) * there was a bit of clogging in the shower area (Narra Room) If this helps, please let me know by clicking the thumbs up sign below :)

I stayed here overnight for 12 hours and apparently I was the only guest staying at that time. The room I booked was just okay however smelled old and the bathroom was dirty. Breakfast is served at the adjacent restaurant.

Check in was very slow. There was an error in reservation process. Two rooms were reserved instead of one. Both rooms were not yet ready and we have to wait for some time after the standard check in time. There was no credit card terminal. Receipt was not automatically issued after cash payment. You have to ask for it. Staff don't offer help with your luggages. ( You have to carry it by yourself by stairs to the 3rd floor; elevators don't work.) There were several trainees just watching the whole check-in process. No helping hand. There was no wifi in the room areas. Water pressure was low. Towels and sheets were new, clean and fresh. The room was well maintained and clean. Room service was okay but not attentive to special requests. Food was good. Swimming pool area was nice with a mini gym and no restrictions. They charge for towels and you cant bring the ones provided in your room. Location was not good though : beside the front desk/lounge where incoming guests can see you. It is the best and cleanest in the area with a beautiful old Spanish house-themed restaurant serving local and international cuisine. Rate is reasonable considering the facilities and free good breakfast included. Overall, value for your money. Hoping for improvement in services.
