My job in the HMO industry has brought me to different places in the archipelago. one such trip is in Balanga Bataan. A conveniently located Travellers Inn - Lodge is D'Samat Hotel in Camacho st. Very accessible to local transport, walking distance to the Town Plaza, Shopping Malls, Fast Food chains, Bus Terminals, etc. its newly renovated with spacious rooms ( single or double bed) plus a big foyer where you can sit back and relax.
An added treat is the Bistro Bar on the second floor where they serve my favorite local beer- SanMig Lights( but they have imported wines and beers too! ), with their specialty finger foods- Crispy Pata , Sizzling Gambas, and Wide -Screen Concert shows , running the whole night, its an entertainment package no one expects in this part of town!!
I heard they have a Videoke room too!
Thank you Jovit and Ata Genato, the owners, chef and bartender ( par excellance) , for a wonderful experience. I will surely come back and stay longer... hopefully in the near future!! More Success !!

for a backpacker from manila going to balanaga, bataan, i do highly recommend this place rather than the hotel at the plaza, family who owns the establishment were so accommodating with my whole stay. D'samat has it's own bar as well! with international and local drinks. Rooms were clean and spacious.

they have 24/7 CCTV protection which the family monitors as well.

Thumbs up for the place for a solo packer, Couples, Family, or Friends. this is the right place to check. the mall is just 3 mins walk from the place. transportation is always present anytime of the day!!

Great Stay here. Will Go back soon!

hahahaha see you again kuya and ate!

If you are on a tight budget or backpacking in Bataan, and you only need a place to sleep in, this is the right place for you. Basic but clean. Rooms are airconditioned but some of the mattress is old. You can check in anytime and check out is 24h after. Bring your toiletries though 'coz only soap and toilet paper will be provided. The owner and staff are very friendly. The place is near the town plaza.

I visited D Samat Lodge for my friends who would need a place to stay for 1 week.

Actually, if you are not picky, you may stay here. The rooms are typical rooms of a house, ordinary curtains, ordinary bed and beddings. The rooms is average size, same size of a typical house. You can hear bands playing while inside your room.

Parking: They have a parking space
Location: good location as it is accessible

Whenever we travel to Bataan, we always stay at D' Samat Hotel. Rooms are just right for a small family of 4. It's comfortable, nice, clean and very affordable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. It's not in the crowded area but walking distance frm Robinsons Mall and restaurants. If you want to have a couple of drinks and watch concerts to a big screen or listen to music, try Cocktails and dreams at the 2nd flr of their building. I highly recommend this Hotel to anyone.

If you will be backpacking bataan, I suggest you stay in Balanga as their town plaza is wonderful and lively. D Samat is just at the back of the town plaza, around 5mins walk. And 10 mins tricyle going to the terminal. 5mins going to WWII Museum and Surrender site, will only cost you 10each for the tryk. Also near Mt. Samat. Room is okay, you can fit up to 4-5 person. There is a bar at the 2nd floor. Staff is friendly and accomodating. Price is reasonable for 800php for 12hrs and it is already air conditioned. Good for those backpackers like me.

Service needs improvement. There are no security guards so that might explain why all the doors including the main door are always lock. Getting in and going out the hotel is difficult. There are no place to hang our clothes or wet towels, no cabinets inside the room, no wifi. The location is good, however, and might only be the positive thing about this hotel.
