We booked a 2-day stay here only because the original place we were looking at was fully booked. The pros? There were several swimming pools with varying depths so everyone in the family from toddlers to kids to adults can comfortably and safely swim, the land area is big with trees dotting the entire resort, other than swimming, the resort offers other activities - zip line, wall climbing, rappelling and even a boat ride. The cons? Terrible handling at the ticket office - as in crazy, noisy and no-clear line terrible. The rooms are nothing to brag about. We paid 500 bucks per night for an extra bed and all we got was a folding bed with a thin mattress. You also have to pay extra for every appliance you bring in or request for (think rice cookers and such) when other resorts have those available to use for free. The pools can get real dirty real fast (maybe because of the sheer number of people swimming). There's nowhere to buy food once night falls and the gates close. Cellphone signal is patchy and there's no wifi. It's probably good for a day outing, but paying for a longer stay isn't really worth your money.

My family came here for a wedding. We checked in the villa and added the dormitory, 6 adults were in the villa and the rest of the family members were in the dormitory.

We arrived late, but we already have the place stocked by my sister in law. The kitchen and living room was big enough to accommodate my family for breakfast, lunch and dinner. although the villa should accommodate 6 people there was only a small round table with 4 chairs. The villa was greatly used on the wedding day for the make up artists and it was a good backdrop for the video shoot. The rooms were small and the 6 adults were not comfortably accommodated for the 5 nights we stayed in the villa. and we have to pay 500/night for the extra twin mattress and have to use the foam in the living room to sleep the 6th family member. It will probably work for 6 kids but not 6 adults.

The stove in the kitchen was not working and we were told that we have to wait until morning to get a working stove top. but we have to check with the supervisor because there's a fee for that as well ( there's no supervisor at night ). We almost ate baked eggs for brunch ( at least the oven was working ) until the guard came with the "super kalan" and my luck it was free!.

We came in feb, and it wasnt that crowded, we almost feel like it was just us in the resort, we had the pool and the karaoke machine all to ourselves. The gardener kept the grounds tidy and water the plants every day we were there.

Recommend: a screen door would have been nice since we have to keep the doors closed quickly for the mosquitoes not to get in.

Located near the national highway, this resort is pretty accessible. With 4 swimming pools ( a kiddie pool and wave pool included) one can have a great time having a dip in this resort. the rooms and other facilities are pretty standard. There is a pool table, table tennis table, and videoke machine available for rent. An okay resort for a quick getaway.

This was the venue for the Science Workshop seminar for elementary students, where we accompanied our children. We had our room reservation way months ahead of the date. But when we arrived at the resort to check in, our paid room reservation was already given to other guests. To settle the incident, they had suggested and arranged for us to stay at Crown Royale hotel in Balanga city proper (which has the same owner of the resort) but is kilometers away from La Vista Resort and a very big inconvenience for us. We had to travel to and from our hotel to the resort every day. Other paid room reservations of our friends also got the same scenario where it was given to other guest. They didn't get to be transferred to our same hotel but instead they were just given a name of other pension houses in the city. This is a very bad image for the resort, especially the way they manage their reservations. I also checked the pool and I found the water murky/dirty. So far, the only plus side is that this is located near a mall.

The ambiance was great, however, the water is extremely hot for this kind of weather. They could've change the water so it's fresher as they charge 120php for adults and 100 for kids. Before it was all worth it but now, all the fun was spoiled. They also set the day swimming from 9 to 4pm and asked guests to vacate the pools or else will be charge for night swimming which is ridiculous because 4 pm should not be considered as night swimming. The price is too high for the services which are not really that good. We went to swim to be refreshed, not to be welcomed by warm water which felt like we were in a hot spring.

I'm not so sure but when we went there, the place was not so clean; and their wave pool was not functioning. However, service was okay-- and we were allowed to bring in food, of course with corkage fee. Compared to other inland resorts in the area, this one is cheaper.

We were in Limay for a week with friends and came here swimming for the day/night and it did the trick!
was a little pricy for the 'cabana' witch was basically just a picnic table but the water was decent and just what we needed to beat the heat

The place is great. I can say it exceeded our expectation of being "the usual" rural resort - THE USUAL: one big pool for adults, 1 small pool for kids, small Nipa Cottages very close to each other, so-so accommodation.

La Vista has 2 BIG Kiddie pools (with slides). 1 BIG Adult Pool (2 slides) and a wave pool. Each pool have beautiful, well-maintained landscape. There are also a lot of trees and plants around the resort that makes it more of a city escape.

We stayed on a room (Anahaw Building) with 8 beds. Each bed is prepared with basic toiletries and 1 towel. It has 2 air conditioning units, 2 toilet and bath (this really impressed me a lot as it saves us time taking turns taking a bath), 2 big cabinets. TV is also available. Indeed, it is best for families. They can also provide a long table good for 10-12 people should you need one. The room is spacious that you can bring in that big long wooden table. In addition, they also provided a hot and cold water dispenser so we didn't have to worry about getting hot water for our instant noodles.

If you are an overnight guest and decided to go swimming, you are provided with free cottage. Yes! you do not pay an additional fee for the cottage. And that its a big, spacious concrete cottage not a small nipa hut. You can also request for a videoke without an additional fixed rate, you just have to drop 5 pesos per song :)

con: the wave pool is open but the waves are only turned on every certain interval (not sure if every other hour)

We will definitely be back!

Went there on a weekend with my family, and the kids loved their pool. Nothing fancy, with fun slides and covered with net definitely a plus. It was sort of chaotic in their ticketing area, I hope they can have more counters for the paying guests, their personnel were obviously disoriented because of the influx of visitors but nevertheless accommodating and helpful. Inside was more beautiful, lots of trees. Cottage for 15 people costs P800, weekend entrance rate is P140 for the adults and P120 for the kids (day swimming), I liked it that they have grills on each of the cottages and tap water nearby, we didn't pay any corkage fee though we brought in food and drinks. I must say I was disappointed that their tagline "The Only Wave Pool in Bataan" is not really operational throughout the day, they should have put a note or something in their website or flyers that there's a schedule for the wave pool. People came running like the plague towards it when it opened after lunch and had a splendid time, I don't think staying at the far end of the pool is really safe, there were no rubber whatever to protect people from smashing their heads into the concrete wall and the sides (see picture). There were lots of trash on the sides of the pool in the afternoon (swimmers obviously ignoring the 'no eating beside the pool' signage) but were cleared up later that day. There were mini concerts everywhere! The noise can get a bit nauseating, so if you're looking for some peace and quiet, you're parked in the wrong neighborhood, dude! All in all, I think it's worth to come back to this place for a good ol' fashioned family outing. We had great fun, great enough to ignore the operational slip-ups.

You may visit their website at www.crownroyalehotel.com/lavista/ for more information.
