I don't like the view and also the beach area. Sea Grass Beach Resort advertised itself as a luxury resort, but it failed to deliver on its promises. The amenities were limited and poorly maintained. The beach area was unkempt, with dirty and broken lounge chairs. The spa services were subpar, with unskilled therapists and outdated equipment.

The best thing about SeaGrass is its location. Strategically near the Penaplata port and local market (less than 5 minutes motorcycle ride). Our room rate is Php2,500 per night. It's Worth our money! The room is very spacious and the ventilation/air conditioning is good. The staff of the resort is very friendly.

One of the reason why we chose SeaGrass for our accommodation is because of the bamboo bridge. Yup! The ambiance and the place itself is indeed a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the City. :)

The only downfall of our stay that I must sight is the television in our room and the choices of food. The TV in our room is broken and we were not able to watch for our three-day stay in the resort. To be fair with the SeaGrass team, they offered us to be transferred to another room. It's just us who decided to stay in our room, simply because we are there to reconnect with Nature and not to watch television. However, it will be better for them to check all their facilities to avoid such situation. :)

Another thing that they might consider is the food choices. Our breakfast is part of our accommodation, so it's free. However, we really never tried their own food in the resort because of two main reasons: it's pricey and not too much choices.

These are so far the only thing that they may improve but overall, our experience in SeaGrass is very pleasant. If I will go back to Samal, I will still stay in SeaGrass! :)

Nice place to stay and very affordable compared to other resorts in Samal. The owner is really friendly and entertaining as well as their staffs. The beach view is good and I also liked their bamboo bridge and the small hut. You can go there to see thie nice view of the beach around and you can even dive (don't worry there's two salbabidas if you dont know how to swim). They also have pools, so you have a choice if you dont wanna go to the beach. :)
Although there's a free breakfast i haven't had the chance to eat their free breakfast because it was pork huhu. They should ask the guest for their preferred meal, but that's the only thing that I didn't like there. All in all its a very good place to stay :)

This is the worst place a family or a group of friends could go..

We booked for the 2950 room good for two and paid 500 each person excess per room. With that payment, we can't still use the pool with the slide coz we still need to pay another amount of money.

They changed my perception of an infinity pool... their infinity pool is small! SMALL!!! It's not INFINITE btw.

Their resort name really fits the whole place.. we can't enjoy their beach because of the grass.. refer to the photos, where you'll see we stayed at the shallow part of the beach because of the grass..really disappointing..

Their employees are nice but their manager is 🙄🙄🙄
But overall, their service is a big NO NO.

Not worth it yet they are expensive.

expensive food! 200 for pancit, 350 for liempo good for 2 pax, swak milk is 35pesos and 20pesos for nescafe 3.in.1 overpricing for a food you can buy. you can bring food inside, they dony baggage. hahahha
they have 2 pools.
no water in the cr around 10 to 11 due to insufficient water supply. you have to call the house keeping to check it. its quite far from rooms.

There are many resorts on Samal Island, but we choose one without a vista of Davao.
This resort has a long pier that gives you access to clean and deep water.
Cottage was good, comfortable and equipped with aircon. There were not many other guests, so it was quiet. But it is a good place to visit with children.
Breakfast was included. Dinner was of good quality.

Every guest will pay so much yet the service did not match the rate. The food rate is a bit expensive and the infinity pool is small. Me and my friends were expecting so much but it turns into "Expectation vs. Reality" thingy. Anyway, I believe that the resort is nice and it just need improvement.

Our stay here at Seagrass was great. First, the staffs are very friendly.

Their facilities are also good! Our room was spacious enough for the price we paid. Towels and some shampoos, soap and toothpaste were also there in case you forgot to bring some with you.

Although their location is a bit far from the wharf and the ride was long, but It's all worth it when you get there. The place is good because it's not very crowded and you can have a peaceful ambience with nature and your partner.

Their pool was also good! Then the view by the beach is also awesome!

Our breakfast was served and delivered to our room! (which is free and included on our overnight stay)
And our dinner was very satisfying. It's not overly expensive yet their serving is huge which is a big check because some resorts offer expensive food but with a poor taste and serving.

Will definitely come back soon. Thank you seagrass!👍

The place was quiet and the room is clean. The staff are very accommodating and easy to deal with.

The rooms however are far from the beach and upon entering the resort, you would not know where to go since there is no reception area or front desk. You have to pay for the hotel at the canteen.

The view from the infinity pool was great. However, we find it awkward to swim on their other pool since it is located next to the canteen/restaurant and there is an on going construction for their function hall hence there are many workers passing by.

Overall, though, it was a great place to stay if you want some peace and quiet and NATURE.. :)

The decor was excellent, the staff was friendly, and the resort was immaculate. I adore this resort and the way the design was used in each room. It was a fantastic experience that I hope to have again in the near future.
