The resort is well placed in the island is Samal near Davao. I had a great time with family . It’s well organised and have own private sandy beach . The resort had organised our transport from Davao city to the resort and had tailored service for up on requests.
This resort do not advertise and we heard about it from friends. Easy to find some 10 min from the ferry. Access by boat is also possible from waterfront. There are 14 Bungalows from size good for 2 till good for 8. This place will never be crowded but day guests are allowed. The rooms are nice, spacious and clean and so are the CRs. There is a little terrace in front where you can have your meals served. Some have beautiful sea view. There is a rather small seawater infinity pool and a nice small beach. Very good swimming in high tide and playing in low tide. Along the beach there are chairs and tables for relax , snacks or drinks. On the beach side there is also a nice and well stocked bar. Each bungalow has its own assigned service staff/ butler who will take your orders…
The hotel is easy to reach, only 10 min by boat from Waterfront hotel, half hour from City. The beauty of this resort is it's landscape, small pool but overlooking the beach make it so stunning! Beach sand is clean with blue water, the breakfast menu has limited choices, Cabana rooms with garden terrace are so comfortable with native special design, but no wifi connections so our stay wont be that convenient sometimes. nearby area has Hagimit water falls and its worth to visit. it was a wonderful family trip, Samal island is amazingly beautiful and many great place to do aside from island hopping!
I spent quality time with my family in this resort. Our room was beautiful. The infinity pool and the beachfront was nice. It’s not that expensive. Our only issue was the food. No outside food is allowed. However, the place was pristinely clean and well-maintained. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Chema's by the Sea is a beautiful place to just 'be' - it's in a quiet area, by the beach and it has a beautiful view of Davao City. It's so pretty during daytime, and even at night time. I spent my evening just lounging at the pool area as I savored the view of the night lights of Davao City. To get here, they have a boat/ferry that you get on at the Waterfront Insular Hotel in Davao City. It's P200/boat (it's not per pax), and it will take about 10 minutes to get there. There is also another way, like we did, we had a tour before checking in, so we took the land trip route (via RORO), and entered on the other side. The villas are so pretty, I even love their bathroom - it's so uniquely designed and spacious too. The villas have a veranda where you can have chit chats…
