Detailed Reviews
Good:
- Staff are very accommodating specially those at the dive shop. They will take care of everything for you.
- Food is great.
Cons:
- The old rooms are really old and does not smell nice. I have not yet tried their new rooms
- No shower area for people who are on day trip. Where would you expect day trippers to shower after a dive?
Day trip rates are similar to other resorts in the area so you are not really saving anything.

It's only a few hours away from Manila so you can definitely go there for a weekend dive. When we went there, we were given old rooms near the pool area where you train. I'm not sure if the new rooms are ready for guests. Some areas were still under construction.
Everyone's very nice and very helpful - from the wait staff to the dive crew. Special shout out to "The Chad".
The food's good too. Well... except for that very salty Adobo. Everything else was good.

It´s an affordable place for what you can find in Anilao. There are two kind of rooms, some of them are new and the old ones, where I stayed. Even with that, they were ok for the two of us (a/c and private toilet).
The diving staff was quite friendly and the hotel it´s ok. Don´t expect a top-end place, but it´s ok if you are looking for a reasonable priced place to dive.

because of the everyday office life my boyfriend and I have, we decided to take a swift escapade to relieve our burning hectic schedule. we saw a very affordable deal on Metrodeal which includes an overnight stay to Scuba Bro Batangas, 1 bfast, free use of Kayak and snorkeling gear which amount to P2199 for 2!! affordable right? so we decide no more and get it instantly. upon arrival to the resort (which i dont know how to define resort now), we were not greeted or accompanied by anyone at the gate. since there's no person to ask where the entrance to the hotel is, we decided to enter the gate. we stumbled on the dogs that was in caged!! their on sale. Dogs which I mean German Shepherd!!! anyway.. someone assist us finally, only if we know we looked lost. he instructed us to just go straight and find a stair. we then search for a stair in which we found there's two! another challenge i guess.
The stair takes FOREVER. its a mess and looks like there's no one even dare to walk on that place! when we reach the end of the hell stair, we were welcomed with a very quite, old, messy. rusty, ghost-like place! where the hell are we!? where are the people?! its far too different from the picture it shows on Metrodeal!!
My boyfriend and I pause for a while, looking at our face is TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT.
I called the resort hotline and said to them that we're already in the resort. They said that someone will go down to assist us. and so we waited. after a while, a girl greeted us and took us to the front desk. well there's a front desk. common!
the crew were girls. accommodating indeed. we went there lunch and quite hungry so we decided to eat at their cafe. buffet was the style of serving which we find very expensive!!! P350 for a Bland taste of food. all i can remember was the pork/beef roast which is the only nice food i ate that Time..
the balcony was certainly old, the rooms were okay and definitely do not have a TV! the night was very boring since the only place that has WIFI access was their veranda. if you're not around that premis, you will end up sleeping early since there's nothing much to do on your room.
since the food was very INDEED expensive, my BF and I decided to just eat our packed goodies to lessen the expenses.
the next morning, to reduce the boredom, we decided to borrow some scuba stuffs since it was part of the deal we got.
NO ONE was even accompanying us! they just advice us to swim on the front side of the resort. what a snorkeling activity! all we can see are rocks!! so disappointed.
the whole stay on the resort was not even on an average level. it was very disappointing. i remember, there's also a couple that was in awe when they arrived on the resort. instead of wandering on the resort, they just decided to spent most of the time on the balcony since there's WIFI there.
all in all, i would highly UN-RECOMMEND this place. if youre a real diver lover, i recommend this, but if youre out for relaxing and a place to settle all your worries, not recommended at all.
dont be fooled by their website photos. that's all i can say.
total disappointment.

this has got to be the worst dive resort ever!!!
ambiance: a feeling of being in a shanty area.. a place of decrepit everything! ..from the tables, counters, bathroom.. everything was falling apart! it is an insult to call this a resort!
food: we came late from a dive trip, arrived 2:20pm for lunch (sign said lunch was until 3pm), there wasnt enough food, just one little serving for each of us.. when we asked if there was more, they said they weren't done cooking, so we waited, come 3pm, we were told lunch window was closed. seriously?! and they had the gall to charge 750 pesos for 1 person, good for resort use with food!!
dive:
- we were only given a dive briefing for the first dive (we had 3 dives in different sites)
- we supposedly had a sweeper, but he was always ahead of us anyway and couldnt see him checking on us (we had 2 new divers, which they were aware of, so they shouldve been more attentive)
- we only have an open water license but later on we found out we went as deep as 26 meters
- i could hear my tank leaking, and they just brushed it off and said that it's okay (of course i insisted it's not, so they replaced my tank)
- the DM couldnt provide a certification number and the resort didnt have a dive stamp!
- the DM even asked me in a judging way, why we still kept a dive log.. i mean seriously?
DO NOT GO TO THIS JOKE OF A DIVE RESORT!!!!
there are so many dive resorts around the area, so you can easily avoid this one

We booked a week at Scubabro, hoping to enjoy some beautiful dives but although diving was really good couldn't enjoy our stay because of this place :
-Our room was so smelly that we had to leave the balcony door open everyday
-There was no housekeeping done in one week
-The food was plain and the same every single day, so bad we had dinner outside even though we booked full-board; not to mention unhealthy, we had to ask for fruits everyday
-the entire resort looks like it's been abandonned twenty years ago (and DOES NOT look like any of the pictures on their website) : the pool is dirty, the buidings are falling appart, the furnitures are rotting, cockroaches ate our masks in the equipment room
I would advise anyone to go somewhere else, as we checked after day 2, there are other resorts close by which offer accomodation and diving for the same price and have better facilities, rooms and food.

If you are looking for a nice place to rest and relax then try Scuba Bro Resort, formerly was Outrigger Resort in Anilao Batangas. They have full facilities for recreational & technical diving, a nice swimming pool for scuba training. The food were good and staffs were very helpful. I wish the rooms are more fancy with wifi and good television, we have to be in the dining area for wifi and you need to have your laptop or ipad with you or else you will be bored to death since nothing much to do in the evening. Overall experience was good and recommend everyone to try the resort when they are planning to dive in Anilao Batangas. :-)

Staff do not know how to teach directions going to the resort. When we arrive after 4 hours, the front desk said that we do not have any reservation, i got mad and told them i talked to "Lexi", they said that the booking was good for two only and there are four of us. I told them that the room committed to us is good for 4, so they don't have a choice but give us what we want. When we got to the room, it was too old and aircon doesn't work properly and i just told my friends that "is this the Php5200". We were so disappointed at the room, thw resort and lastly the staff. Not accommodating, the pool was so dirty, and the food was very expensive! They also overcharged us upon check out and realized it when we are already in lemery, batangas, we called the resort told the incident and after that they are no longer answering my calls! Hoping they would deposit the money to my account but then we waited and now they pushed me to post here. It just shows how incompetent their staffs are. This resort is a BIG MESS!

The hotel claimed that TravelBook.com did not coordinate with them. They offered us a room smack in the middle of a construction dump. The room itself was like something out of a warzone. And they claimed it wasn't their fault we were given that rathole. Needless to say, that's the first and last time we're ever going to visit Scubabro!

The place is terrible and I pity the staff who has to carry your luggage because it's quite hard to do it on you own judging on the terrain.
I do have the following suggestions since the place can only get better (I don't think it can get worse...unless I spoke too soon):
1. A way to bring luggages up and down the steps from the parking lot that doesn't rely on some poor soul's back
2. Improve the maintenance of facilities. Stayed in a new room but the toilet needs repair
3. Stick to the schedule. If a trip departs at 9AM then it should depart at that time.
4. Shower facilities right after a dive instead of just handing us a hose
5. Place to soak gear. They do have it but it's filled with dirty water.
6. Prices are expensive for a place that is really way below standards.
7. Please be professional with guests at all times.
8. The food needs so much improvement.
9. Open the gates at the entrance particularly when expecting guests. Why is it always closed?
10. Cleanliness will be appreciated.
I hope this feedback helps.
