I have traveled around the world to quite a lot of resorts, l must admit that the service, friendliness and courtesy of this resort was second to none. They were extremely welcoming and accommodating. They welcomed us with complimentary drinks for the whole family and made sure we were all settling in safely. The Manager Sir Donald was a very hands on Manager and could not do more to help make our stay as enjoyable as possible while the rest of the staff did more for us than any other resort l have ever stayed at. Needless to say, l will return to stay at this resort again when l return to The Philippines. The facilities at this resort make sure that you are never bored wondering what to do. I totally recommend that everyone coming to this part of the world check it out, you certainly will not regret it.

Had a blast here! They really went out of their way to give excellent service to the customer. Even to the extent of marketing & providing healthy food & drinks for diabetics like me. Before you can even ask for anything like free coffee, or even icecold water, they’re ready to give it to you with the sincerest of smiles & greetings! Anilao may not have a shoreline but Philip Ann Resort makes up for it by offering free kayak, snorkelling gear & huge float so you can enjoy the sea water to the max. You dont even have to pay even for the use of the gym, use of the steamroom, videoke room , billiards & games, & they do have a bubbly jacuzzi & pool with floats for kids & adults, by the sea. With their facing-the-sea balconies pumped up with sofas, hammocks, sunchairs to enjoy the great sunrise/sunset/starry views in comfort, or while having your meals set up in the balconies, these all make up for whatever you may find lacking in your room or stay. Ours was a quick break from worklife & when free tequila or buy one take one margaritas was offered, it clinched our resolve that this is one of the resorts we’d go back to in the near future. Never mind beach walks when everything else you need is available with solicitous staff making your stay memorable, and the salo salo meals, their version of boodle, are great for 6 hungry peeps, with extras to boot, in their restobar with a view of the sea. Their descending steps are good for exercise, but if you’ve problems descending or ascending, they’ve an army to help you manage this, even if they’ve to carry you up or down (i believe), the way they get hold of your baggages whether small or big, even from the parking area, a few meters away. The response also to your queries is super fast. Rooms, though small, are clean and smell good. Thank you Philip Ann for setting the bar when it comes to excellent Filipino customer service.

Resort is situated on the water front. There is no beach as such. Water sports are provided. Property is not too big as expected. They have other facilities like spa, massage, gym, pool table, karaoke, swimming pool. Outdoor bar and air con indoor bar. Restaurant. For the price the rooms are extremely small and bathroom/ toilet is also very small and tight squeeze. Has hot/ cold shower. Wifi provided with TV channels but at times very slow and channels don’t play. Good selection of drinks. The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. The food was ok. The local friends were of the opinion that the taste could be improved so that was a bit of disappointment. Parking is available. Not too many shops near the resort. Quite remote. If you can bear with the cramped rooms you can have a good time for day or two at the most.

Dear Kanwar, Thank you for your review, respectfully however we will take this opportunity to clarify a couple of pertinent facts that you chose to omit; 1. Having purposely booked the cheapest price and smallest room on a promo of 25% , it is unreasonable to expect a larger size room, room size is and always be cleary listed and avaibable to see. You did not enter or see the other 12 rooms in the resort, ( total of 14) to flippinatly state " cramped rooms" is respectfully not accurate 2. TV Channels provided with no extra charge to yourself such as Netflix and Youtube, suffered no downtime , if the channels was not working, a simple request to the maintenance department would have promptly rectified any issue. No other guests reported such issues on the selected dates you stayed with us. 3. The majority of your stay with us, did not involve the use of the mammoth range of activities avaibable to you , steamroom sauna, darts, billiards, the sea, snorkelling, excluding all the other amentities avabable. Naturally how you choose to enjoy your vacation is your perogrative, and we respect that, however to suggest and state a lack of activities that is only good for "one day or two at the most" , is a direct contradiction to the hundreds of other reviews. If the primarily purpose is to spend 95% of the day in bed ,then naturally and with respect this will severly impact on your activity and excurcisions participation 3. We are aware of a sad personal incident that occured to yourself on your last day , our staff went and above and beyond to lift your spirits ,and show yourself that the world and the Philippines is not full of such awful people. We feel that this incident ( beyond our control or personal involvement has somewhat impaired your review)

I don't know why everyone is gushing so much about this resort. Our room (we booked for 2 adults) was no more than 8m2, the bed was much smaller than a queen sized children. It was also super abused and uncomfortabley soft and squeeky. Avoid if you have a bad back like me! Only cold shower of course, the AC was leaking, dripping onto the bed. Ants in the bathroom. TV / cable didn't work. Wifi was very unreliable. In the pool area zero service on the first day. We had to open the umbrella ourselves and hunt down the beach towels. The bar was not manned, we had to do call theml several times and for service. Same in the evenings.In the evening. The second day at least somebody came to open the umbrella without us having to ask. We had to ask for table water every time we ate in their restaurant. An employee offered complimentary beers. When we said we don't drink alcohol I suggested a Coke zeros in exchange,. "Yes sir '. She wasn't seen again... They need to pickup the trash on their part of the beach, including the marked swimming/ snorkelling area. There were several under occupied guys standing around smoking all the time. Why not tell them to invest one hour cleaning up? And finally: the bane of PH resorts. Annoying loud thumping music from 8:00 to 22:00.

Very fairly priced, I enjoyed the unique amenities and the general ambiance of the resort. The Seafood was fresh and did not disappoint. The vegan and vegetarian options available is very well thought out , as is the deco and attention to detail. The staff was also among the best i have encountered during my worldwide travels. Gym, Steamroom, swimming in the sea everyday, kayaks, strong wifi , clean rooms, what more could i ask for? The divemasters as an added extra was also very knowledge and this resort has its own housereef. I have re booked my next holiday for a few weeks time

Costumer service is 💯. They have plenty of freebies we did not asked for and the staff always emphasized the complimentary services that we can enjoy. You can even watch the pod of dolphins swimming by the sea if you are lucky! They also offer Scuba diving but I was not able to dive coz we left the next day for another travel. They reply immediately to our messages and questions during and after booking. The food is great and they also offer free videoke! A very nice and budget-friendly place to bond with family and friends. Highly recommended!

I wish to commend the management of Philip Ann Resort headed by Donald (Property Manager) and his outstanding team/staff for making our 2 nights and 3 days a very memorable and truly relaxing experience. We had a Japanese guest with us and we requested a nice “seafood boodle fight” setup in the beachfront bamboo raft and Donald made sure that everything is perfectly organized. Afterwards, we had a great time snorkeling and kayaking the whole afternoon and later on enjoyed the stunning sunset. Great place to run away from the hustle of everyday life. I love the vibe of this resort. The staff is really amazing and full of smiles. From Donald, the supervisor who really took care of all the small details we needed, to the cook and his team who accommodated us, Pam, Mars, Christine, Jenel with his amazing voice, Jade with her kind face, the 2 Christians, Junjun, Josh, all of you who made us feel home. Also, thank you to Kuya, who took care of my diving gear. Thank you again for your kindness. Bongskee, my master diver with whom I did 8 dives , really enjoyed every moment in that resort. Some people might say it's not wow 5 stars resort yes but the vibe and the people make up for it. Thank you, Philip ( the owner ) for the complimentary drinks that kept coming. I recommend this place for families and couples who are looking for a nice vibe. This resort is not Padi certified, so it's not a typical diving resort, but they booked me a Master diver with a boat, and I can't, but thank them for the fun I had. Will be back next year for sure.

This was an amazing trip! I haven't had a chance to write a review but here it goes.
1. The staff - Super amazing and friendly, always smiling and helpful.
2. The managers - great, caring, funny and always went above and beyond to help and accommodate.
3. Resort - Amazing ocean view and lots of activities, we went back 3 times in a span of 2 weeks. Lol
4. Room - clean and comfortable!
5. Food and drinks - delicious and amazing! One of the best in the Philippines.
I've been to many hotels and resorts worldwide, but this has been the top of all of my stays. The vibe, the friendliness, activities, food and drinks. I've never felt so relaxed and I didn't even need to use my phone. No stress and all good vibes! Waking up to see the ocean with a nice cup of coffee with smooth music, it makes the hours of drive (almost 4 hours one way) to there well worth it.
In my opinion, this was more than a stay, this was an unforgettable experience! We have been through the regular days and also the typhoon days, they have been amazing and helpful the whole time! It was definitely an adventure! Now I'm back in Florida again and I miss this place, but I'm planning a visit the Philippines next year and I will make this my top place to visit!
