Easily this is the most modern Hotel in Bauan.
For us Manila People, who needs to be in town to attend social functions, this is "manna from heaven"!

However, you will soon realize that this hotel has many loose ends that would make your stay unpleasant.

I have brought 4 Senior Citizens with me.
And, to my horror, their establishment wasn't ready for them.

Here's why
1. Their escalator/elevator only reaches up to the lobby at the 2nd Floor.
If you are "unlucky" enough to have your room on the Third Floor, you would have to literally "carry" your physically challenged members of the family just to ne in the rooms.

2. If they (PWDs and Seniors) make it alive on the 3rd floor, another dilemma awaits them if you book the Loft Rooms. They have to be carried to where the beds are again!
What if there are emergencies? I could not even begin to think about it.

3. There are rooms on the 2nd Floor alright, but they are also Loft Rooms! So there is really no escaping those stairs.
WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE THAT WAY?

4. The stairs leading to the third floor has a narrow "gap" to the wall. Little children could fall there!

5. Their elevators/escalators are closed most of the time and you have to call for the maintenance people to have it opened. Jeeeeeeeezzzzzz

6. A band was playing in the lobby and it could be heard in the rooms. How loud? You could not even hear the TV inside the rooms and you had to shout to each other to communicate.

Our otherwise happy family vacation was ruined!

I am usually very forgiving to newly built hotels in the provinces but man, this hotel really got me in a very very bad way.

Hope they improve.
The hotel itself looks very promising.

I stayed in this property for a couple of nights. The sleep quality was good. The complimentary breakfast offered vegetarian options on request. The operation of the escalator was fun to watch. The location was strategic.

We had an extended stay in this hotel for our family for 10 days due to family festivities in nearby towns. The service staff is excellent and attentive. We especially appreciate the consideration for our mom during our snorkeling excursion coordinated by the hotel and flexibility to provide breakfast to go when we had early day trips. Breakfast menus were adequate, although not a lot of variety, but with the length of stay, not surprising, but still want to compliment the staff for always being helpful. Definitely get there early to enjoy the meal. We did not partake in the weekend international buffet.
We were a large party in two rooms and the rollaway bed is not designed for an adult over 5' 3" but fortunately the main level in one room had a couch. The rooms were well maintained by the cleaning staff however note that only bath towels were provided and it is highly recommended that guests have small washcloths to manage the summer heat. While these towels were provided to one room upon request, they were not available for our other room.
We definitely want to compliment the staff coordinating the snorkeling excursion. While pricey, the service on the island was terrific as they set up shade tents and had portable chairs and tables. There was probably too much food given the timing with the hotel breakfast, however we highly recommemd the halo halo back at the hotel. Sombrero Island was a good introduction to basic snorkeling which was unsupervised from the shore but certainly sufficient for our needs.

Consistent with other comments, caution should be used on the loft stairs and with the bathroom on the first floor, it is best to maintain low level lighting to guide your steps. Our only other critique relates to the noise level on the weekends or when there is an event in the hotel with music. It would have been nice to get notice from management as on two separate nights, music/singing continued beyond midnight which made it challenging to get a good night sleep.

We feel that that the service level in the hotel is the strongest asset as well as location. Thank you!

Hi. This is Ray. One of the social media managers of the hotel. We thank you for the honest and very comprehensive review. It has given us better insight on the operation of our hotel, particularly on the room designs. We are glad you have brought up the concern on lighting especially on the loft rooms. We will see what we can work on to rectify that. For the towels and amenities requests, we apologize if there were lapses when the housekeeping was not able to provide any. It does show that even if our service was satisfactory to your standards, we still have much to learn and much to improve on. We are also glad you had a great time on our Sombrero Island trip, and that your party was able to take advantage of the last days of sunny weather before the Philippine rainy season kicks in. Your recommendation to give advisory to guests on possible activities and events in the hotel is well noted, that we have made it part of our mandatories every night there is an event. Again, thank you for helping us improve the Bauan Plaza Hotel and we do look forward to having you again as our guest.

Had to a attend a late afternoon christmas party in Bauan, Batangas so I decided to stay at this hotel, since the party will surely be finishing late. Made a booking 3 days prior to my appointment and it went smooth in fact a discount was given since we will not avail of the breakfast as we will be leaving early.Upon checking in the room was neat and tidy and the airconditioning was good. We were actually assigned ia room next to an elevator and an adjacent backdoor. After a long hours drive from cavite to Bauan we were already exhausted and after attending the party which ended at 11pm we decided to get back to the hotel for a much awaited sleep.Much to our dismay at around 12 midnight we started hearing loud and disturbing noise coming from the floor above us. It was like they were dragging furnitures. Even a loud sound may be from utensils that had fallen really got into me.Patience is a virtue i know but when you're really tired and you're just starting to get sleep and paying ...mind you...this was annoying!! i decided to call the front desk and it was explained to me that a xmas party just ended so they were fixing stuffs above ..so i hung up and tried to get sleep again...but then again apparently these people who were fixing things up were also coming down the elevator next to our room and exiting to the backdoor that i realized was that backdoor was leading to the same space we viewed from our glass window where the aircon exhaust was. So they were bringing out things to the back this time now. The guys were even on heavy conversation at that same spot near our window ....what a unlucky night....so things went quiet again or maybe i had finally fallen asleep .... after 3 hours 4:30 a.m. a guest was exchanging harsh words with a staff on the hallway....he was really furious and speaking scandalously LOUD...by the sound of it you might assume he was directly in front of our door, the guest was demanding something....i dont care i just want to have a quiet place to sleep!!..what a unlucky first night at this hotel.....i might go back considering its the only decent place in Bauan but i would definitely think twice...for a paid stay..without a quiet environment to sleep...i'd say it was not worth it...

Hi. This is Ray. One of the managers at the Bauan Plaza Hotel. First of all apologies are in order for us for three instances: The ingress-egress of items during one of our events, the guest that disturbed your stay, and the WiFi connection. We have taken note of the noise that occurs during the transport of materials during an event and have discussed various changes in the procedures in order to have a better transition of materials from events center to storage. As such should you choose to stay with us in the near future, we can assure of a quieter stay. Same goes with the other guest during your stay. The guest was staying at one of the rooms beside yours and was apparently intoxicated during this time. Our security measures have been enhanced due to this incident as we believe that our primary goal is the safety of all the guests of the hotel. The WiFi system has been restarted and should be running smoothly. All in all, we thank you for the honest and factual review. We are glad the rooms and its amenities are to your satisfaction and we take the points of your review as an assessment for us to improve our services and policy. We look forward to having you as our guest soon at the Bauan Plaza Hotel. - Ray

Receptionist are impolite and disrespectful of guests. Here's why:

1. they expect you to know their policies although they are not explicitly given.
- our discounted rooms were supposedly for 1 guest only. however they failed to mention that to us upon our arrival. They ended up charging us for extra person fee without even notifying us. we only found out after 3 nights. the reception we talked to is very disrespectful and told us that we should know that the room is for single person only since it is discounted. (note: we are staying for 15 nights, hence, the discount, have we known that the discount they gave meant that it will be for a single person only we shouldn't have booked the place)

2. they don't clean the rooms everyday!
- the receptionist told us that we have to call or notify the front desk if we want the room to be made up, so we did. but almost every day, despite our calls/notification, we came back at our room still undone =(

3. slow service at the restaurant too!
- Food is served usually 45mins to 1hr after the order is placed.

Decent hotel in the province with friendly service. The location is central to convenience stores and restaurants. Breakfast is included with your stay and it's delivered to your room since they don't have a restaurant. Breakfast options is local or western. The refundable incidental deposit for a 1BD/loft was 1,000PHP but it has to be in cash. They will provide a receipt to be refunded upon check out.

We held our son’s baptism in Bauan Plaza Hotel last sunday. The service is very good. The price is worth it, we had an inclusive free stay in the hotel.. as soon as we enter the room it was smelling so good, the bathroom is spotlessly clean with complete ammenities, the bed is comfortable as well as the pillows. The aircondition worked properly. as per the event We liked the food they served. My only comment is the pork steak’s cut is kinda thick. We loved the fish and tofu fried. I worked in a 4 star hotel in Rome as an admin and all I can say is their staff is Very professional , I would like to commend Ms Trisha. Overall experience THUMBS UP...

Our detour because of traffic this long weekend made our stay in this hotel even more worthwhile.

We were heading to Anilao when we got stuck in standstill traffic in Bauan. We were supposed to check in late afternoon in this hotel coming from Anilao, but since we already spent almost half of the day on the road, and it started to rain heavily, we decided last minute to go to this hotel first and just go to Anilao the following day. This last minute decision made us enjoy the Orense Suite more.

They accommodated our early checkin, and the room with a loft was very spacious and homy, with ambient light generously flowing inside. The kids had fun running around, and the bathtub/jacuzzi was enjoyed by my 2yo daughter. Different restaurants and food outlets were also very accessible from this hotel, and a convenience store was just below it. It was like a peaceful home in the middle of a very busy environment outside. They are able to maintain the tranquility inside.

There was a band playing at the bar every weekend nights, and although I heard some complain of it because of noise, my husband and I had fun on that Saturday night. Our kids did not have difficulty getting to bed even if our room was situated on top of the bar.

The hotel staff were also very polite.

The only mark down is that the place is not friendly for PWD or elderly. If your room is on the 3rd floor, the elderly/pwd will really have to use the stairs.

Over-all, I'd still recommend this 100% to my family and friends.

I stayed at the lovely Bauan Plaza hotel with my fiance and her parents. We were given a loft room, which included 2 TV's with each TV on both floors of the loft. Our loft also had 2 single beds, which could only fit 1 person for each bed. Our sleeping arrangement was a bit difficult since 2 people had to share a really small couch. One annoyance about the living room was that it only had a couch; no love seat or chair for those people who were not sitting on the couch. The room included a mini fridge. No microwave though. The entire room was very modern. It also included 2 air conditioning units, one at the top of the loft and one at the bottom by the living room. The room also featured, my favorite hotel room amenity, free wifi!!! There was good signal and provided a fast connection.

The hotel is conveniently located next to a few eateries such as McDonald's, Dencio's, 7-11, a shaved ice restaurant (I forgot the name), and a few other places. Within walking distance is the church right across the street along with the police station. The hotel is also next to a very busy road, so the noise woke us up very early in the morning.

The lobby of the hotel was very modern with a lounge and a bar/restaurant within it. The lobby has an escalator, which leads up to the front desk, however it only goes one way so if you wanted to go back downstairs, you would need to take the stairs or ask the bellboy to manually change the escalator to go down.

Overall, this hotel was a lovely home away from home. With myself being a Filipino-American who visited Bauan, this hotel reminded me a lot of home because of how comfortable it made me feel. Add in all the eateries and the 7-11, this made my Philippine trip a pleasant experience. I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again if I visited Bauan.

Hi! This is Ray. One of the managers of the Bauan Plaza Hotel. First and foremost we thank you for your favorable review of our place. While small and our very first hotel venture, we do strive to meet the right standards expected of our guests. We have taken note of the unavailability of love seats at the room and we will add it in the options we will be able to provide to our guests in the future. Do let us know on what other things we can work on (we shall see if the steep stairs on the loft rooms can be rectified) so that guests may have a more memorable experience. Thank you once again for staying at the Bauan Plaza Hotel and we do look forward to your return. We can assure of great Filipino hospitality that will make your stay always pleasant. - Ray
