Coming to our place is an exciting journey. The road trip will be part of the adventure. While on the way, get your camera ready because of the heart-warming view of the sea. The mountainous areas will make you feel in touch with the beauty of nature. It's really worth the long drive because when you feel the breeze of the sea, you will certainly enjoy. Upon reaching the resort you can't help but say WOW... You will see our MULTI-PURPOSE HALL with an enticing bar with a wide range of drinks available. Adjacent to it is our air-conditioned SEMINAR HALL. These are both facing the 7'x 14' SWIMMING POOL for adults which is 4 feet to 6 feet deep and a SWIMMING POOL FOR KIDS which is 3 feet in depth. It's not only that, because these are also facing the relaxing view of the sea which is so hard to resist swimming into because of its cold and very clear water. You can further improve the fun by staying at the FLOATING COTTAGE. There is also a kayak that can be used to complete the experience. The entire resort can accommodate a maximum of 500 people which makes it suited for all occasions such as family affairs (reunion, birthday, anniversary, baptism, etc.), company events, beach wedding and team building among others. You will surely enjoy the air touching you. The interesting part is that the air comes from the sea and bounces back after touching the mountain. This is because the resort is at the foot of the mountain - it's really a wow - wonderful creation! Sit back and relax in the afternoon to witness the perfect sunset in a very wide perspective. See the attractive color of the sun while setting into its place. A view that will allow you to be stress-free. There is also a WISHING WELL which is believed to be the only spring that remained to have water despite that all other springs in the area got dried. So, what are you waiting for? I've been here last November 13-14, 2019 for an overnight stay together with friends and my daughter, a total of 18 persons. We arrived at around 9pm with 2 cars and 5 motorcycles, the road was really steep, curvy and lacks lamp posts but we counted it as an experience. We've arrived past the cut-off time as walk-in customers but the receptionist still accepted us. She even helped us get my friend's license which was confiscated by a traffic police at Bauan public market (for 'illegal parking?' while dropping us as we buy our supplies for the night, even if he used the hazard warning light) - Thank you, ma'am! We're lucky because we're their only guests. There were enough tables and chairs for dining, a place to grill, cook and wash the dishes. Each room has it's own toilet and bath, beds enough to occupy 6 persons per room. There's a pool with slide which we enjoyed. The beach was rocky but the water is clear and calm. The view is relaxing. We enjoyed our stay, most especially the unlimited "Kapeng Barako." …

It is a great small spot with a nice beach, the waters are amazingly clear and you can even snorkel off of a floating cabana they have. They offer a marine sanctuary snorkeling tour which is a must do for underwater life lovers. The staff is great! Joy (head receptionist and all around staff) went above and beyond to fulfill our needs and requests. All questions were met with a smile and a sincere, enthusiastic answer. All other staff were full of smiles it was a pleasure to be around them. The rooms were nice and comfortable, with good sound insulation. My biggest problem is that they offer beach karaoke which is enough to ruin anyone's "quiet time at the beach" I guess this is becoming a thing now in beaches in Luzon but I wish that they would limit this to a soundproof room, not everyone wants to be subjected to cheesy canned music and offkey singing, most especially not the ones who go to the beach to enjoy nature, like myself. Tip: Bring your own food and they offer cooking services. They only have a limited selection at their restaurant but they do have unlimited barako coffee!…

Going there is not really easy (I mean, really) because of its bumpy, steep, and long road. BUT we were already informed of this so thumbs up for the management for doing so. The price of the food is affordable for people who has limited budget for a vacation; although there's a limited choice of food on the buffet, but hey, the amount you paid is really really worth it. Beach is really enjoyable because you have a lot of water activity choices. Pool, with honesty, is quite boring so I'm not recommending their pool to people who are pool-seeker. They have very good service and they always entertain our inquiries. Room are cool and good but not really fabulous, but hey, you don't go on a vacation just to stay in a room, do you? Overall stay in this resort is good, and I really enjoy our family vacation. Kudos!…

Going there is an adventure itself. Make sure that you made reservations so that the resort can send its jeepney shuttles to pick you up from the town (which is a good 8km away). The road to the resort is narrow. Trips at night should be avoided like the plague. The place is big, enough to host a good number of people. Parking and security are taken cared of. The room that we had was cool and I liked the fact that there's no TV. Internet is spotty so you're pretty much forced to be offline. Not a problem if you want to get away from it all for a weekend. Food? We were in a big group and food was buffet style for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I loved the veggies - these didn't have meat in them and still tasty, you could taste the butter in the buttered vegetables. If you're vegetarian, not sure if they will customize the food since I'm not sure if they have ala carte menu. There's snacks to buy from them and they're pretty stocked so it should tide you over for a day or two. Make sure you buy everything you need before you get here. Towels not provided so bring your own. Soap and shampoo and conditioner available. All in all it was a pretty relaxing trip. Will be happy to come back. …

We thought it is the best place to spend my husband's birthday and our 7th wedding anniversary. So we booked 3d/2n accomodation (May 26-28). Since we don't have a car, we went there riding a tricycle. But we ended up to an accident because of the very steep road. Thank God we're still alive. I think it would be better if the resort will have its own shuttle/service to accommodate those guests who doesn't have their own car. Just to be safe. To make sure that the guest will arrive safely, because the 8 kilometer journey is not a joke. Hopefully the owner will consider this option. We're still considering to come back because we never had a chance to experience the beach. I want to thank the resort staff who look after our kids when we were in the hospital and even refunded our deposit.…

Been in this place together with my family and friends and as I've mentioned in the subject - you must be prepared for a road trip. The roads going to this place are really scary as it's full of dangerous curves and car engines screaming for help due to it's altitude. The moment you enter their "baranggay", I'm sure you will feel the road intesity with full of drive up and drive down (as if you are in a roller coaster) 😅 Anyways about the place, cleanliness and maintenance is commendable. The staff are very courteous and organized. We were offered a juice upon our arrival which was a nice touch. There's also an unlimited "kapeng barako" (local coffee) which was nice too. Now, talking about the place, i must say that the view is fair enough (see photos) and I can't complain for the price that we paid. The water is clear though the sands are not that pleasing. There's a "balsa" (man- made floater) which you can bring to the middle of the ocean and eat/drink there. For me, that was the best part. 😊 There's also a pool but I must say that the water were not so pleasing though there are slides for my kids and young ones. Travellers Tip: Do not go there at night. As the title suggests, La Thalia is a great place to spend your summer escapade, but in order to get there, you need to be up to the challenge. The 8-kilometer challenge! You literally need to climb UP an entire mountain with your car, and climb down that same mountain to get to the resort. And as almost all other reviews would caution, it is not for the inexperienced drivers. My overall assessment of La Thalia below: Pros: - Hands down one of the BEST in terms of hospitality and friendliness of the caretakers (kudos to Mam Jocelyn and team!) - Crystal clear waters, clean beach - Lots of activities to do (kayak, speedboat, snorkeling, jet ski, etc.) - Rooms are cozy, especially beach front rooms - food is delicious, especially the desserts (plus unli kapeng barako) - There are no cooking areas, so if you are staying overnight, meals are inclusive and are served at the cafeteria or dining hall. - Kids will love the pools with slides - Bring marshmallows. They can set-up a Bonfire for you :) Cons: - Did i mention the 8-km challenge? lol - Small aircons for the big rooms, so it takes a bit of time to cool the whole room - getting a stable globe mobile phone signal is a bit of a challenge - on our 2nd day, waves were a bit strong hence the water got a bit murky and dirty additional note: on our 1st day, everything was perfect, we had the resort to ourselves, peaceful and quite, pristine beach and waters. on the 2nd day, there were 100+ people, it became a beach party, loud and noisy. In my reviews, if i have nothing to list in CONS, only then does it warrant 5 stars. But for la thalia, i give it 4 stars, very good. I would definitely come back, but maybe time it to when there are not too many other reservations/bookings.…

We went to this resort for a day's swimming. It is a looong drive up and down a narrow, mostly cemented road. The place is okay, lots of space for parking. They have several huts with a table and benches. Cost is P300 per person, though, and not per hut. Unlimited free coffee and water, and a welcome drink - very sweet iced tea. The pool was average; they have a nice, long curving slide. Otherwise, nothing much. The sea was very clear, great for swimming. However, the beach was very pebbly, with some bigger stones in the water. They have jet-skis for rent. We went on a Thursday and had the whole beach to ourselves!

Tucked away behind a mountain-side with an up and down 30 minute drive from the nearest main road, La Thalia doesn't offer Wifi on purpose. It's their way of helping you disconnect from our social media crazy world. And I loved it!!! I spent several nights and days enjoying tasty home-cooked Filipino food and incredible family-like customer service. Anna, Merry Gin, Christine, Jocelyn, Hill, Armon, (forgot a name)and the Chef, made my stay unforgettable. Morning, noon and night, food was always waiting for me after every activity I participated in and any request I made was fulfilled. I couldn't have asked for a better weekend. I fed beautiful fish, swam in the ocean, listened to videoke, and enjoyed some much needed peace. This modest resort was my piece of heaven! Rick

Adventure. Amazing. Relaxing. That's what I always wanted, and I found it here. We were actually heading to our usual resort in Mabini, but today we made a quick turn. And, we found a place peaceful and clean. This is an ideal place for people from Manila who are tired of heavy traffic, pollution and noises. Foods are great here and Kapeng Barako is offered for free at the bar.
