Fabulous diving resort, rooms large, clean and quiet food is first class! Now the location has some of the most beautiful sunsets as the resort is west facing. Please note that access is via boat from a ramp five minutes down the coast from the resort which makes for a great isolated feel! It was a relaxing stay and great diving on offer highly recommend!

We're very pleased with Divers Sanctuary after out trip last weekend. Their rate of 3900 per head includes an air-conditioned room, buffet meals, and unlimited dives. Not bad! The rooms are very clean and the food isn't anything to complain about. The resort is under new management so service is top notch and people are generally warm and friendly. There's isn't any shortage of dive sites around the resort either.

Great place for divers who like to go for a few nice and easy local dives.
Loads of fish and critters to be seen.
The resort rooms are fantastic and staff very attentive to every need one may have.
The food is delicious and plentiful.
The restaurant area is really very nice, overlooking the bay.

3 points need improvement:
1- many areas are very slippery and dangerous
2- the swimming pool looks run down and needs maintenance; also, it's a pity it doesn't go deeper for some scuba exercises (deepest is 2m only)
3- the pricing for accompanying non-divers is ridiculously high and a deterrent for entire groups

We had to pay P3900 for an overnight stay in a very small, dark and ugly cottage with a crappy and unhealthy food. Our friends' rooms were a bit bigger than ours but none of us had the hot shower. A staff offered to heat water for us every after dive but complaint of the gas consumption. duh? It was the least they can do for divers shivering after diving.

Let me just enlighten you with what they put on their website: http://www.creative-showcase.co.uk/Divers%20Sanctuary/hotel.htm

1."The resort offers a wide selection of food and drinks." How is this true when they only have Coke?

2. "The restaurant serves European, American, regional Filipino, continental and Chinese cuisine." FALSE. The meals were lousy. Deep fried pork, friend chicken, no fish, no beef, no seafood, some vegetables. The way they cook were unhealthy. Even the snacks were that of the street canteen.

3. "We have full dining facilities with a bar and cocktail lounge." WHAT??? I didn't see any.

4. "Facilities include: dive centre with a deep salt water olympic size swimming pool;" DECEIVING! The deepest part of the pool was 6 feet. It was 5'5" when we were there as it wasn't full.

5. "and a canopied outdoor bed/hammock available to you during your stay." There were none.

The only thing I like was diving.

Divers sanctuary is mainly used by instructors as all dives can be made from the shore, saving on boat costs. The location is also great for diving during bad weather, it is located on a peninsular which means one side will generally be sheltered from waves unless the weather is really bad.

Unfortunately the diving around the resort is average to poor, visibility tends to be much worst than other areas of Anilao. Boat trips to Anilao proper can be arranged from the resort but are very expensive compared to other options.

The dive facilities are quite good, there is a new changing area and showers which are as good as anywhere else in Anilao, however the compressor is quite small and it's not uncommon to find tanks are in short supply.

The main draw backs of this resort are the food and the fact you need to get a boat transfer from the parking area. The variety of food is very poor while the quality is much lower than most resorts in Anilao. The boat transfer can be a pain as you can wait for a long time (upto an hour) to get to the resort or back to your car when the boat is in use, while you will get wet if it's raining or the sea is rough.

This is a great resort for scuba lessons or single divers who are happy to dive a single site, the all inclusive package is very good value for 1-2 people. More advanced divers would prefer the diving in Anilao while the all inclusive rate is much more expensive for groups of 3+ divers than it would be in most other Anilao resorts.

My partner, friends and I are all regular divers and have frequented many resorts both in the Philippines and other parts of the world. This resort looked promising because of its location and its facilities. Sadly, this was one of the most unsafe resorts (for diving) that I have stayed in. First off, the boats they use for pick up of passengers and for diving are poorly maintained. Our 2nd dive of the day could have resulted in a major accident as the waves were quite sizeable and when we were picked up after our dive; in close proximity to Pinnacle Rock the boat’s engine would NOT start. If there had been a current or stronger wind we would have all wound up crashing on the rocks. The boats are old and most be replaced. The resort itself although quiet was not cleaned very well and with a lot of “lounge chairs” that were either broken, covered in dirt or bird excrement. I do hope the owners or management do more to make this resort safer and a real “sanctuary” as they have called it. We will not be returning and will not be recommending this resort to any of the diving community until major changes / improvements have occurred.

Been going to this place since 2014 and it keeps getting better! Rare in the Philippines but I'm not complaining. Food is good, rooms are superb, service in the kitchen is very good. But the dive service can be further improved (boat scheduling, towels, & tidiness of the dive area). Overall, a good value for money and a diver's weekend refuge from the weekday pollution of Metro Manila.

As someone who has limited exposure to dive resorts, the Bauan Diver's Sanctuary was a wonderful surprise with its wide grounds and amenities. Unlike the resorts in Anilao whose terrain limits the resorts to a more vertical development, Diver's Sactuary has flatland, affording it the luxury of developing wider grounds and better architectural developments that includes 2 pavilions for divers of different groups, a clinic, a salt water pool, a spa and a big dining hall with a 180 degree view of the ocean.

With 2 queen sized beds and a single bed, their rooms are huge! Wide windows let much natural light in and a wonderful view of the ocean too. Luxurious blankets and soft pillows lull one to sleep. The bathrooms though are a bit small considering the size of the rooms, but clean. A set of bathroom essentials (toothbrushes, toothpaste, tumblers / glasses, cottonbuds, comb) would have made it complete. They do supply the little soaps and shampoo sachets.

The dining area served good and abundant servings of food. Drink selections are available apart from the overflowing coffee and tea. A bar also serves alcoholic drinks and appetizers. The buffet is set up on one side which does not obstruct traffic within the hall. The atmosphere is also homey and despite multiple groups, the hall did not feel cramped.

It was good to know, being a scuba newbie, that all the staff in this resort has been trained in advanced scuba diving. It gives comfort knowing that they will know what to do in case of a situation at sea, and that one can covere with them on matters pertaining to the ocean, diving experiences and weather occurences that affect diving. They are all so courteous and efficient too.

The wifi in this resort is good all over the place. There are not televisions on the resort, not that one is needed. Families can spend time here too, with major activities being swimming in the pool or snorkelling in the nearby housereef.

Diver's Sanctuary is indeed what it is. It felt much like home as the ambiance and the people made you feel rightly so. Easy driving from Manila too. This is one place we would be happy to go back to over and over again.

My daugther had the best scuba diving experience here with the care of Edgar her dive instructor, and my family and I had a very relaxing time. From the moment we arrived the owners Mark and Lourdes made us feel very welcome, the staff are polite, friendly and helpful. The place was serene and magical. The room is spacious and has modern amenities. My whole family had a massage and we are all very happy. I can't wait to come back to bring some more family and friends in the future.

After a long car journey from Manilla through many towns and villages full of friendly and helpfull locals.Once we had parked in the car park and boat transfer area,we stretched our legs then hopped into a locally craft inexpensive traditional boat ,which I initially thought was a bit primitive untill we set off and I quickly realised that in this part of the world it was the only way to travel, the boat transfer took around 10 mins and was a great introduction to the scenic environment .We birthed at the divers sanctuary jetty and were greated by very helpfull staff , I found their mannerism and politeness unparalled anywhere I have travelled to.We were taken to our rooms which were clean ,large and had powerfull ac units in.The view from the room was amazing and the area was peacefull. As soon as we were settled in our room we walked up to the dining and bar area ,which took 1 minute . We were greated by excellent staff and choose various food from the buffet ,I love asian food and indulged in the buffet greatly .We spent the first evening enjoying the view from the bar and having drinks .The next day I had a few lessons and an intro dive in the pool, the staff were very informative and explained the rules and dos and donts of diving very clearly .That evening again I over indulged in the buffet food which had many choices both from the sea and land! I took a dive into the sea the next day which made me feel like i was peeking into a secret underwater world where i saw many fish and corals ,Ive been told theres a cave with sharks in but didnt make it that far down .We spent alot of time on the sun loungers and alot of time eating that delicious food .On a whole I fully enjoyed my stay at divers santuary and will definetly go back there one day .
