Red Stop Bus resort became my go-to place for diving near Manilla from the very first day I got there. In fact, I liked it so much I left my diving gear there so that I would just HAVE to revisit.
Only reachable by boat, this small resort offers nice rooms, amazing food and a warm welcome. 4 great meals and a snack are included in the price of a room, as are unlimited drinking water and unlimited Batangas coffee. And if you're a diver, they add unlimited tank fills too.
Diving is excellent, but if you don't have experience, or still feel a little uncomfortable to book a (very safe!) try-dive, why not go snorkelling? The house-reef bursts with life and is home to one amazing turtle, impressive schools of jacks, and more nudibranchs than you would find in an encyclopedia.
They offer aircon rooms, fan rooms (choice-par-excellence for divers who who fear getting a cold from aircon, and a 'glamping' option. Anyway, you won't sleep a lot anyway, as the sun sets, you'll just gaze at the sea and count down to jumping in it again tomorrow.
